Aww, I tried to break a run of DNFs but alas. There was a 3 potential hosts, all of whom had very cavernous hidey holes - one of which went deeper than the metre long stick I found and poked into it It was pouring with rain as well so I had to acccept defeat.
Dad and I decided to get out for a walk before the rain set in, we had to cut tthe walk short when it did set in and we got wet, but thanks for the placement.

Flossie110 and I wandered along this path today, finding a few caches. She found this one as per the hint, while I was looking in the wrong place. Thanks for the cache
At last a decent morning for a bike ride. My two previous visits here were unsuccessful. Leant my bike against one of the trees. I came prepared with a weeding tool this time and bent down to make a start - wow found it on my first poke! So lucky. Pleased to turn this one into a smiley, thanks JoeyGE0.
Up early this morning to complete Etherlords power trail. Cycling back into town I detoured for a couple more caches. This tiny hide was fortunately found quickly. Thanks JoeyGE0 for the smiley
Out and about early in the morning before the rest of the world is awake. Came out this way because it is a short walk from where I am staying and maybe I can avenge a couple of DNFs.- - yep, the last time I was here I could not find this cache.
I found it this time. Should have found that last time! Maybe that I am caching by torchlight helped this time. Yeah, right!
Went on to another cache, then turned around and got back home just in time for a new cache to be released... And we're off again!!
It's Matariki weekend, and TwigNZ and I are in Palmerston North helping out/joining in a huge board gaming weekend, raising funds for some Scout Jamboree attendees.
It was an awesome weekend of LOTS of board gaming, a little geocaching each day, and as luck would have it (very carefully preplanned luck) (so, not luck at all) three empty log books!

Wasn't a quick straight forward grab on a run like I'd hoped. At one point I considered bailing and putting in the not going there basket but took a wee extra look and came up trumps.
2 from 2 DNF , prob needs a look see.
Tried both sides both times passing, nothing found sadly

Out on a bike ride along this track which i have never been along before so it was a surprise to see the bridge that the horses had right of way and the gates that you go through here . All the caches were straight forward except this first one as i had to really dig down to find this pesky hidden black object but luckily i finally had it in hand and could sign it off . looking around the other was not pleasant as it had dog pooh around it so luckily it was not at the base of that one ! thank you for this cache .
3rd find for the day along our walk. New, so forgot a pen to sign log. Thank you to all contributors for an enjoyable afternoon
Not sure when I logged these I didn't start at the beginning, but here I am now. On my way back, the rain had started, but fortunately it didn't last long, so got home reasonably dry. A few mugglers out running, or walking, but no issues finding and logging the caches. Thanks for this series.
Tucked away nicely but an easy find with muggle partner helping and geohound enjoying the open area leash free! Tftc
A trip up to palmy this morning to get the last few caches required towards the Wheel of Challenges Souvenir. No worries here.

Parked on Pioneer Highway for an early morning walk to get five caches along this track, only got two as the track was closed from 4.30am to 10.30am. Thanks JoeyGE0 for the cache.
Wow, I found 2 containers at this location... first sweep I found nothing so I tried the other side of the track and put my hand on a berroca container at head-level. It had a blank log and no GCcode so I phoned the previous finder to ask where he had found the cache. He directed me to the new JoeyGE0 one and I've removed the other one.
If anyone reading this wants their cache back let me know, but I'll probably re-deploy it by the end of the year

Joint {FTF} @ 12:48 with Etherlord Clan, Ethergirl, Ethermiss and SkyCraneKid
Just like last weekend, this weekend I'm spending some quality time with the wonderful Etherlord Clan, and we had just started a bike ride along the He Ara Kotahi track from Linton when these new caches were published.
We decided that sticking to the plan with the kids was better than trying to get them back into the car to chase FTFs so we initially ignored them until after we had finished. However, with no found logs being posted, we succumbed to the temptation to drive over to these ones and give them a go.
And I'm glad that we did, as we managed to get all the available FTFs and then treated ourselves to ice creams afterwards as an extra treat for the kids, both big and small
Arriving at GZ, I found instincts pulling me toward one side of the track, but the GPS pointing to the opposite side. I decided to trust the GPS initially as this CO's co-ords are normally pretty good. I was right. The cache was found quickly, and as always we were happy to find a blank log awaiting us. No issues to report here, and the log soon had our entry in it. All logs today were signed with either our full names, or ECAT (for Etherlord Clan and TwigNZ) depending on the age of the person signing us in lol.
Thanks for bringing me out here today.

TwigNZ, myself, and the EtherSprogs made a plan to claim the Linton half of the CO's eScooter series after only managing the Palmy half last weekend.
We arrived at Linton and were just UNloading the bikes off the trailer when our phones went PING with new cache alerts, closely followed by a text message from LL113 simply saying "GO! GO! GO!".
Having only just arrived for our planned morning activity, we decided not to throw the kids straight back in the car. Instead we carried on with the hope that they would still be unfound once we were done...?
After getting back to the car and re- loading the trailer, we checked for FtF logs and whad'ya know? We're in luck!
It was a quick trip back to Palmy and down the road past the fondue fountain to unload again.
The younger Sprogs were moaning about how tired their legs already were, but the promise of an ice cream from the Blue Moon dairy soon quietened the rising rebellion.
We set off with expectations of meeting another FtF hound coming from the other direction, but made it all the way to the end without any such encounters. Yippee!
TwigNZ and I both headed towards one particular host, only for him to peel off while muttering something about the GPSr. I kept following my instincts and was rewarded with a call of "found it" coming from somewhere behind me... oh well, so much for me geonose? At least the logbook is still blank!
Thanks for the new series, JoeyGE0.
I've never been along this section of the Mangaone Stream path before
