Today, I was out in the geomobile heading North, in order to visit the Tin Can Bay area. This region has been on my hit list for a while, as there are two caches here that I need in order to qualify and complete a challenge cache. I started the drizzly day off in the Kia Ora area, working through Toolara Forest and Wallu, before arriving in Tin Can Bay for morning tea and some tree fishing. I then went over to Cooloola Cove, passing some caches on the way and doing a bit of wading in town. I then went to Rainbow Beach, passing Great Sandy NP and Seary's creek as I drove North-East. I then arrived to be greeted by constant rain, gale force winds and the occasional flash of lightning. Not the best conditions but at least it made all my searches muggle-free. I then rounded the day off heading up to Inskip Point to grab the new multi up there, before returning home back the way I came, down the M1 via Gympie. A great day for an overcast one! This was the first cache that I planned to target on my mini expedition, as this area is rather devoid of caches. I parked up not too far away from GZ, peering up into the canopy hoping to spot a koala to no avail. I made my way over to GZ to first check the obvious location to no avail. I then noticed something that related to the cache title, then I found the little guy well tucked away. Everything here is in good condition. Thanks Liz and Bruce for a fitting tribute here!
We had the opportunity to spend some time exploring the region and were lucky to have perfect winter weather for it. We visited some wonderful sites, enjoyed some spectacular views and discovered some interesting history along the way. I cant think of a better activity for a couple to do together. Great reason to put out a cache. This one was found after a short search. Thanks Liz and Bruce
Its such a pretty drive with all pine tree plantations. Turned down the side road and it wasnt long before we had the cache in hand . TFTC
Had problems with my gps which is a garmin will try again another day with my husband apple phone.
Staying at Rainbow Beach for three nights and head home in the morning via a new Virtual in Maryborough. Nearly parked right at GZ. Quick find. Container blends in really well. All good here.TFTC Liz and Bruce
6770Friday. Took a rando trip up to Tin Can Bay - had a goal of finding one cache up that way and this one was it! Took longer to find than it should have, given we figured what we were looking for! This was the only cache found on this outing. Thanks ***Liz and Bruce*** for showing us this place

Were on a weekend up here camping. Of course it was the hottest night in Brisbane in almost 7 years. Weve decided to head into the beach today to cool down. Neat little find. Congratulations on almost 46years of marriage! TFTC.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Liz and Bruce [^]
Congratulations on 45 years happily married! And many more to come My great-grandparents made it to 72 years. Thanks for find #5137TNLN
A very cute anniversary cache, and perhaps a fitting cache to end on our geocaching trip up to Maryborough. I showed [jesswrigley](https://coord.info/PRNW59T) this cache, noting that we should do the same one day; her reaction may have been a little different to the CO team. A quick park and grab, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [Liz and Bruce](https://coord.info/PR68BB) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. May you find many more geocaches together!----------During this trip, I travelled with [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) (who was visiting from Adelaide, SA) and we visited Maryborough for an extended weekend.Friday was the drive north, which involved the full day with stops in Nambour, Eumundi, Pomona, Gympie, Tiaro, and Maryborough, and highlights included the *Evil* series and the *Big Aussie Day Bash* series. The weekend's two days prioritised the *Jolly Brolly Folly* (JBF) series and *Geocaching 101* series, with a Sunday afternoon trip to Utopia Falls. Finally, Monday's itinerary included a few last geocaches that were in town, and we then returned home via Beaver Rock, Maaroom, and Tin Can Bay.A fun and rewarding trip with great company and friends, and we were rewarded with good weather throughout our trip.Today, it was our final day for our Maryborough trip, and [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) and I had final ambitions for a few remaining *Big Aussie Day Bash* series geocaches that we had yet to visit, and then circling back through town for one last time. We enjoyed seeing Queen's Park and had a late morning tea, and it was on to the Beaver Rock series. A few interestingly themed geocaches using our TOTTs, and then we returned home via the eastern ocean route before going through Gympie. There were a few interesting seaside towns visited, such as Maaroom, Boonooroo, Tin Can Bay, and Cooloola Cove.
Well done luvvies.Freddo traveled north from deep south to catch up with friendly Liz and Bruce and the RV Home base crew. David Wazza provided a sturdy vehicle and we traveled in style. We had good weather. Not to hot. Not to rainy. Lovely one day and perfect the next. The caches were found in a blur of Which Is Next and Where Are We Going Now. Some caches were harder to find than others. Some caches we could see from the car. Regardless all caches were found in the last place we looked.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos ktkst. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas. This was a nice quick find on our journey to Hervey Bay. Driver swap.---Over a week ago we made a trip up to Yeppoon to visit family and some of the big things dotted around the state. On the way we stopped off at Noosa Heads (big pelican) and Maryborough before staying in Hervey Bay (big whales) for a couple of days to break up the journey. Whilst in Hervey Bay we went out on a glass bottomed boat and explored Big Woody Island and Round Island. Onwards again and we visited Childers, Gin Gin and got stuck in a crazy tailback a few kilometers from Miriam Vale (big crab, big donut and big Magpie). It would have been rude not to pick up a cache or two on our journey North. We visited Great Keppel and did some snorkeling (and Jack spotted a large sting ray), Emu Park to view the Singing Ship, Rockhampton (big bulls) to visit the zoo (which I wasn't too keen on) and just about every restaurant and coffee shop in Yeppoon. It's a lovely part of the world. On the way back home (boo) we visited the caves at Cania Gorge and stayed overnight at the retreat and then on to the Three Moons Silo Mural, Gayndah (big orange) and then onto the Bruce and straight back home.Thanks!!#3492
A little detour on our way to Maryborough to find this one which was soon spotted. All good here, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Liz and Bruce for the cache.
Outnabout with SeeasonedBird after spending a couple of great nights camping at the Brewery with a lovely bunch of grey nomads and Geocaches including the CO’s for this one. It’s always a great day for caching.

For anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australia’s only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
And for anyone that can travel to Longreach, Queensland, late September 2023, Google “QOGM” which is the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster. You’ll have at least 8 or 9 days of pure geocaching fun with around 200 like minded people attending a mix of events and access to over 200 geocaches placed by the QOGM team. It’s not a Mega, it’s better.

On our way to Hervey Bay for the weekend. I remember another cache here. A nice quick find. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks Liz and Bruce. All good with this cache.
Tftc Liz and Bruce, while house/pet sitting at Glenwood realised that we needed a few frozen vegetables.
Our drive to Gympie had so many delays for roadworks that we looked for a detour for our return journey.
Bonus that it passed by this cache.
Plenty of caravans stopped at the brewery for a Sublime break.
No problems locating the cache which is in great condition.

We are fortunate to both love caching. Nearly all our finds have been together. The only exceptions were when Mr TiedyeSmileys went away with work to a a new area to get a tick or drop a TB. Also when the chance of a FTF came up. Otherwise we are always out together
Have another fav point for the great name
