Logs
A quick one thanks to yesterday's cache finds. With this experience even some muggle activity not too far didn't disturb our stealth.Still have to get used to the size of the logs, though. Thanks for another nice nano!
I had a bit of time on Sunday morning after dropping our friend out to Tutukaka for her dive trip to the Poor Knight Islands so thought it a great chance to grab a couple of caches in town while things were quiet. This one took a bit of locating as it had been replaced by a previous cacher on the opposite side to the hint. Now all sorted but the log is full so needs to be replaced.
TFTC... a nice easy find. The log is now full and unfortunately I didn't have my geobag with me so couldn't replace the log for the CO. Was a nice spot to rest and gain another smiley, after completing one of the many adventure labs nearby. Not many muggles around.... I suspect many were at the markets this morning.
#2446 (Tontako Team) Kia Ora from Spain! We found this cache during our New Zealand / Aotearoa holidays.TFTC
Up North for the weekend so we decided to do these ones in town as there no muggles aroundNice wee hide
Day 2 in Whangarei no muggles around today because it Good FridayNice quick easy findThanks CO
An early tea and clear evening enabled me to go for a wander and grab some caches in town. Pretty sure I grabbed one in this area years ago, but quick find. TFTC
Heading North from Auckland today, and picking up a few (maybe?) caches along the way. Our first pass at this one was interrupted by a rowdy-sounding protest approaching, so we skedaddled to the nearby op shop and picked up some mystery bags while we waited for them to disperse. Once we got back, the cache was quickly in hand. TFTC!
A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are on the road again, up "North" to visit family an friends. Today we celebrate New Year and cruised around Whangarei a wee bit. The weather was the best so far, not to hot, and dry too!Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
I have been visiting friends in Auckland for the xmas holidays, but yesterday came up into Northland to spend some time with friends here too. As always that gives me a chance to visit a target-rich environment for me like Whangarei I was doing a combination of Adventure Labs and real caching, which brought me to this cache. There were a few muggles around, especially at the nearby takeaways, so it took a while before I could have a proper search. The find then took longer still as I ended up having to lean to my right to make the find. No issues with the cache itself, which was replaced in line with the cache page instructions.Thank you for setting up this cache, and Happy New Year for 2024
Passing through Whangarei from Auckland as we head further up north. Grabbing a few caches while here.Straight forward find Thank you Riser5 for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 4963
I'm back in New Zealand for a short time after being away for four and a half years. It's the last week before I head back to the UK so I decided to spend some time in the centre having a look around and grabbing some caches. Another wicked find here tftc
I had time to fill in town so I grabbed a few caches located in the CBD. A very quiet Sunday morning is the best time for such things. The only people I saw around were heading to the run/walk in the town basin so paid very little attention to me. TFTC.
Up in Whangarei for the day while my partner attends to some business.
Thankfully the promised rain had not yet set in otherwise I’d have looked a right plank sitting looking for this cache.
It took a read of @capperz log to point me in the right direction. Once I’d done that I soon had my fingers on the cache.
Thanks Riser5

Decided to take a drive this morning and somehow randomly ended up in Whangarei. Plenty of caches left to grab for us in this area so decided to grab a few whilst we are visiting. We decided to do the back to the future adventure lab and realised we were going to pass this cache too. We followed the instructions in the description and on our first feel didnt come up with anything. Took a little look at previous logs and we decided to have another attempt. This time this nano was found. Glad we had the area mostly to ourselves. May have signed these caches as 26th got a bit confused with the dates. Opps.
In town going for a walk so decided to look for some caches at the same time. Nice quick find once all the muggles had walked by. TFTC
An early visit to town prior to catching up with Ed and gang. mrs c hit the nearby department store and I faffed at GZ until reading the cache and making a find of another N.ANO cache.
Into June already and Winter is here with temperatures dropping later in the day, and curtains drawn earlier and earlier. Time to head to the 'Winterless North' - Yeah Right. A few days away up from Rangitikei and another 4 night stay at Chateau Ngunguru, the works bach. A good time to catch up with the family and grandchildren in Maungatapere, and a few trips to spend time with each other in Whangarei. Highlights of the visit; A few more Riser caches, some more 0B80B8 ones, meeting both of those COs within a few hours of each other on the Monday, and another rare Wherigo. As ever, thanks to all COs for their hides and maintenance.

Out getting caches before the rain gets here. Catching up on the newer caches that have popped up recently. Being a weekend was able to park nearby and wandered to GZ. Made a quick find. Signed and replaced. TFTC
Found it thanks to the seat. I actually had difficulty spotting the seats. Too subtle urban design or do I need new glasses? Tftc
Saw this published last night, but didn't rush out as I was thinking of leaving it for a "dot" day find.
However, the lure of an FTF was too great, especially when fellow Team G0LD member Lis messaged that she would be down in Whangarei very early today. After a successful FTF in Rust Ave, we carried on around here and with another good hint, the pesky wee cache was soon in hand here too.
As we suspected, the log was still blank here too, so another joint FTF for us at 6:05 am on a blustery cool morning. TFTC
