WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 38 - Narrogin to Younaning Dam via Cuballing. After a night where it seemed to rain all night, I woke up and was a little relived to hear the rain stop soon afterwards. I did one side trip out of Narrogin before collecting the van t get on the road to the North. The sun even came out till just after lunch. I spent the middle of the day around Cuballing, with mixed results. I had thought at staying by the pub, but I don;t think they do camping any more, so I had lunch there instead of dinner. Only 10kms up the road there was this great spot by an old railway dam. A few other people here, but a very nice place to sit out more rain and do some planning for the next few days.I was very confused here, the gps kept me on one side of the building and the images in logs were all over the other side I then spent way too long looking in both areas, and I was very surprised when I found this one about 20m away, even though the picture when I turned on sat image on the map was spot on. Oh well, found now. Thanks for the cache ebenie47367.17 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & October 2022 Jack O' The Lantern A#506**Albida**

Find 9 of 35 on another great WAGB day. Happy to grab an FTF early om the way out to Cuballing for a 10km bike ride, back to town for coffee before everything shut then back out to Dryandra Woodland, via the airstrip and Contine Hill, for some quality park and grabs. Finished the day with a proper MTB blast in Foxes Lair before the rain came down then straight out to the evening's event.

All good here.

TFTC ebenie!

Down in Narrogin for a weekend of some serious caching and event attending. Teamed up with AlliedOz, Kyzabra, Rokadz & The_Fitzys for the most part and ended up with 90 odd smilies over the three days. Smile

Decided to head up to Cuballing to see if we could clear out the town. Spent a few minutes here before Kyzabra came up with the goods.

ebenie I found your cache at 12:08pm, this was the 20th of 40 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 7943. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Sitting at home in Victoria about 2 - 3 weeks ago and I noticed an article about WAGB.
I had heard of it before and I checked out the dates for it and thought to myself that that is very do able for me.
Airfares and car rental booked then posted my will attend to all of them.
I then worked out some accommodation and here I am for my first WAGB weekend and a couple of extra days as well.
Flew in to Perth, picked up the rent a car and off I went.
I was targeting certain types for a challenge back in Victoria and any other caches along the way.
Well it’s day 3 of WAGB and there is an event out of town and the body clock still has not realised the time difference so up early again and out and about to find a few more.
So after the lovely climb up Yilliminning Rock it was time to find a few caches in the area as I head back to town.
After making it back to town then heading back out an a different road it is time to head back in on a completely different road again.
On this one the GPS just did not want to be very helpful but I got there in the end.
After wandering around GZ I soon spotted the cache and then added my name to the log.

Thanks ebenie TFTC.

Day two of WAGB and today TaurusSix and I have planned the day around the different events. The day started off extremely foggy and cold but by mid morning it was beautiful and sunny. The launch and the puzzle Adventure Lab were great fun and well organised by the West Oz Geocaching Committee . The rest of the day has involved lots of Adventure Labs the odd multis and the odd puzzles, a few of the new TOTT required and a short drive out and around Cuballing, Dryanda and a back road back in to Narrogin in time for the CITO and evening event. All in all a wonderful geocaching day.

Full time nomads since February 2014, back in WA to visit family.

In Narrogin for WA Goes Big 2023. Wow 10years!

With a big list of caches to hunt before the forecast rain of later in the weekend it was another early start for us today. We toured through Cuballing, Popanyinning and Dryandra back to Narrogin in time to pick up a few AdLabs before the WAGB Sundowner. Razz

Oh wow it took forever for our gps to settle, so we looked in a lot of places but never the right spot until the gps pointed us elsewhere and then it was a quick find in the first spot we looked.[B)]

Walked around the building to finally make the find in what is the obvious location when you stop to think about it.

Woke up on a crisp morning and with no plans for the first part of the day had a slow start to it.
Started the day grabbing some new caches in Narrogin before meeting up with SirFancy and Meme28 to clear up the caches in Cuballing.
The afternoon had us heading west to meet up with Geotrakka, neva2old and Monkeywand to pick up the Dryandra caches, meeting up with Family Steiner, Deefa71 & FelixII along the way.
The evening was enjoyed catching up with everyone at the sundowner event and discussing the plans for tomorrow.
By the end of my caching day I had totaled 32 finds, 1 event attended and 1 DNF.

In the local area, I am enjoying my very first WAGB and visiting as many districts as possible with geo friends.
It has been an action-packed day all the way to finishing off with a couple of night caches.
To save space on the log sheets, we are signing as Team East+2.

All Adventure Labs were very interesting to do, and most caches we found today were in good condition and a credit to all the COs who placed them. Thank you ??

Back out in the Wheatbelt for an extended long weekend, attending the WA Goes Big 10th anniversary event in Narrogin. Hoovered up plenty of new caches in both Narrogin and surrounding districts, and had a great time with fellow cachers. Thanks to West Oz Geocaching for organising another ripper event! Caches signed through the weekend as ‘CC’ (meaning Cockburn Crew) to save space on logbooks. Cheers ebenie! Big Grin

Down in Narrogin for the WA Goes Big Event. Thanks to all those volunteering their time to put on such an event and to those attending! It’s always great attending such events and seeing a fresh burst of new Geocaches and meeting new people.

Headed down a day earlier to help set up what’s required and also utilise some free time collecting geocaches. For all the COs that have placed caches out this way Thank You!

Out and about again, an early departure for Narrogin via Brookton to get some caches. More importantly a stack of FTF unleashed. Armed with a TOTT snagged a few caches. Then did some Narrogin local caches. Had a great day out with the team - and then headed to the pub for dinner to chat about the day.

Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today

Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides I found.
