Today we headed to Ulverstone to attend the events and on the way home we did a few caches along the way, and this was one of them. A warm but a tad wet during the day down the coast. An enjoyable trail, we started from the top and made our way to the Don Railway. A few challenges along the way but got there in the end.Cache and contents in good condition and adding to our favourites. Many thanks rhubarbroad for your cache placement here.
Nice warm evening so I took my work colleague to teach her how to geocache. I must say she enjoyed finding all the cleaver caches along this track.I found this cache some time ago on a mothers day and it took me some time to find this sneaky hideThanks, Rhubarbroad Road for all the effort put into this cache. Have given a FP
After a DNF from an experienced cacher, I checked this at 9 am this morning. Hah ! Tricked you ! Reception a bit dodgey, but I got down to 3m without letting things settle further. And cache as described together with hint still stands. Good luck to all
GPS kept taking me back to the same spot but just couldnt see any pipe on the host.. Eventually I found a cut cable tie on the ground at its base. Wonder if this has been muggled? Seems weird as it was only found at the weekend. Will place a watch on this one TFTH
Nicely hidden..didnt know this waterfall was here, so thanks for bringing us here. TFTC
Very clever cache loved it and the falls an added bonus thanks for bringing me here, lovely day for a walk with geo sis caching TFTC
Our 1st find for the day as e once again strolled along this lovely path. The falls were lovely today. Have a fav pointTFTC
Rhubarboard Caches are infact unique anyway footpath under construction? Thanks For The Cache INFORMATIONSearch (EST)/SL Time:5M/13:25TODAY FINDS/DNF:1/0Finder Note: All SYSTEMS GO ON THIS CACHE!
I was really keen to do this Don to Tugrah River Trail today, my last day in Devonport, so i parked up the GeoMobile close to the popular Don River Railway Museum and set off on foot to do the "loop" i had planned to walk, not just to grab some hides but to get my step count up too, so a Win-Win was on the cards.Very interesting info re: this old tramway line... it was a good read This one was found after a bit of a search for that sneaky pipe that was most definitely not one of those big black ones ha ha.I was all smiles as i (with a bit of a play) managed to access the cache. [There is a cache in the Adelaide Hills, called "Pop goes the Weasel"] and i suspected this cache operated the same way, right?.......... Wrong! ha ha, it was quite the opposite but was a lot of fun too, like the Adelaide one.Signed the log at 08:44 on Thursday the 11th of April 2024. Thanks for this fun cache, Rhubarbroad and for getting my day off to a great start that brought a smile. No Muggles were around at the time of the find and re-hide.
Thanks for the cache rhubarbroad. This was a case of attempting to avenge a DNF. Today I took my time, having a nice leisurely stroll with the two GeoGSP's and after circling around a bit, I finally spotted the clever hide. Then it was a case of retrieving the log, signing it, and then returning everything as found.
This one took forever and a muggle who walks this path daily with his pups asked us while searching for another cache if wed found this one . Gave us a clue and it was a super fast find. Random weather today so our coords have been all over the place. We loved this hide (when we eventually found it ) massive thank you for the work you put into your caches, definitely a favourite point from us. TFTC Found with LittleBoo17
2nd attempt at this 1 and we bought our antique GPS. Much easier with better light rather than dusk like last time. Tho we d8d search here and circled this very spot but clearly had the blinkers on. Mrs chickp found it in 5 minutes today and it's very deserving of a favourite point from us. Impressed.
Had a look for this one as we walked in and again as we walked out but with no luck. We did however notice a few things of interest that we will msg the CO about.
Hey what a cool cache!!! We also ran into some other cachers on the way! Cool bananas!
We thoroughly enjoyed the first three caches on this path, we will have to come back and walk further in. Thanks for all the effort put into the designs
after coming back and getting a few hints from a friend! happy to say we found it! a lot of focus was spent searching the more common area, now we have found it i roll my eyes at how dumb i was searching in all the wrong spots! i got to pay lots of dogs though. well worth it!
thanks for an amazing, fun find

Took a couple of visits to find this one, couldn't believe I didn't spot it earlier.
Great hide!
Great hide!
I had a commitment is Spreyton this evening and had just enough time to nick across to Don to change a blue frown to a golden smile.
Had to have a second look for this one on our way back. Once the signal settled down we found the right spot.
Mmmmmmm. Missing something here. Despite being with GeoMaggie, unable to find this one, despite looking on the way out and on the way back. A good reason to come back to this lovely walk on another day.
Although Angus 88, and I wondered around for some time, looking for this, Geocache we were unable to find it. We tried on our return journey but still couldn’t find it. It just means will have to come back and do this walk again. Thank you for making this very interesting series of geocaches.
Now that we are back in the state, we wanted to head out to look for the new caches that have been placed along the old railway line that ran from Don to Melrose. We have pleasant memories of having walked the track over ten years ago and wanted to return to the area to refresh our memories.
After parking our car at the Don Memorial Hall, we walked the short distance to this cache. We did not recall a waterfall from our previous visit but it was certainly evident today. Our GPS was a little slow to settle. We checked the area and soon located a very interesting cache design - the hint made sense at that stage. It was a typical rhubarbroad construction - very well designed and constructed from rhubarb road's box of things that "could be useful one day". The cache and contents were in excellent condition. Thanks rhubarbroad for an excellent cache - it earns a favourite from us.

Didn't have a lot of time to look for this one -had a quick look as I made my way to the end of the track thinking I'd have a more thorough look on the way back. Ran into icybeetas, we had a bit of a look, think we got distracted by the wrong tree. Another one for next time.
Hooray! I must have walked around gz quite a few times on my previous visit, but found today with a little eyesight adjustment.
Cache is all good.
Many thanks rhubarbroad for a devious but top hide.....a fav here....thoroughly enjoyed....cheers ST.

Been waiting a long time for this section of the rail trail to be opened. Unloaded the bikes and headed off in to unchartered territory [for us]. Didn't take long to reach this pretty little waterfall and Mr Beetle picked the hiding place straight away. A very creative cache that deserves a favourite point from us. Thanks Rhubarbroad.
Looked all over and only thing I saw was some remnant cable ties.
Many tftc...cheers ST.

FTF at 1:45pm! A lovely day for caching after yesterdays weather, Nick came over to Dev and we quickly left together to search for this new cache! This was probably the worst case of cache blindness we have ever had, and walked past its location atleast 10 times Nick went down to the riverbed in search of it whilst I climbed up next to the waterfall. Both our ways wrong! We left for a break to go grab some food and arrived back to search again, and found it! Very nicely placed and we certainly enjoyed retrieving the log. Thank you for the cache! - abb
