This amazing bike park is an asset to Whangarei. An incredible amount of people of all ages using the facilities. Thanks for bring me here
That was a stretch. Then had to wait 15 minutes for the chatty cyclists a few feet away to go before putting back
Im glad Im not any shorter as I would not have been able to reach this cache. Tiptoeing and a big stretch and I could just reach the cache with my finger tips. Signed the log and replaced slightly lower. Hopefully better for the next cacher. TFTC
found it but couldnt unscrew the thing because i think its rusted or something
Thanks for your amazing cache Riser5. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. An awesome hide and worth favorite from me. Found with Fisha1288 Cheers, Cympull.
An unexpected day in Whangarei and enjoying the sunshine on a walk around the harbour. Quick find. Thanks for placing Riser5.
Up North for the weekend so we decided to do this areaClever wee hide hint was spot on
Out for a brief evening stroll from my nearby AirBnb.Few muggles hereabouts this evening. Cache found in the third place I looked Thanks Riser5#5131
Far too many muggles to write in the log, but found it. What a great park, amazing use of the space. Will have to come back with bikes.
It has been replaced but trying to get rid of the low health score showing up even though it's been replaced.

Quick find after a ride at the BMX track. Thanks for the smile . Could do with a new log .
I'm back in New Zealand for a short time after being away for four and a half years. It's the last week before I head back to the UK so I decided to spend some time in the centre having a look around and grabbing some caches. Another quick find here. Tftc
KL had a different GZ to meI was happy with mine..and soon had the log signed..awesome area with many learner's courses for bikes and skaters alikewhat a great asset for the community thanks Riser the cache is all good and tidy..replaced as found
What a cool area for all ages. We befriended a 3 year old who was keen to show off the tricks. Thanks for bringing us here Riser5
Out and about caching in Onerahi today. Pleased to see a whole new plethora of caches out this way to up the numbers. It took me a couple of attempts to locate the hint object as there were lots of families on bikes enjoying this facility, which was really great to see. TFTC.
Needed a cache today to fill in a loop 2 dot day and had tried for one in the mall, but that was a DNF, so called in here to try for this one.
Luckily it was just on dark and all the potential muggles had departed for warmer locations. A nice quick find in the hint location, but opening it with near frozen fingers was another challenge. Got that sorted eventually and replaced safe and secure as found. TFTC

2019. Between the rain showers, I arrived at GZ with Li0nPaw and eKitten. Thankfully it was a quick find, but oh no! Where's my pen? While going back to the caching mobile two vans pulled up with well over a dozen blindfolded passengers! After trying three pens from the car that would not write, I signed with a kid's marker and quickly went back to rehide the cache. Generally having so many muggles around would be problematic but the few without blindfolds were only paying attention to the large contingent with blindfolds. TFT(almost blind leading the blind)C.
Well this was going to be an interesting trip for geocaching. I came down to see the family and get my wheel alignment done. I'd also planned to get a cache a day for this latest souvenir challenge. The only problem with this plan was that when I reached Whangarei I realised my phone was in Paihia. I'd packed quickly and thought I'd done well as I'd even remembered the charger. Having recently had phone trouble while out geocaching in Whangarei I new this obstacle could be overcome with a bit of planning.
I'd looked up someone's log so I knew exactly what I was looking for here. I had some floral paper in the car which I added as the log was missing. I had to cut it down twice as it was too big for the tiny cache. My name ended up a bit of a smudge on the log after that. Nice to see the improvements in this area. It looked lovely. My kids would have loved this area when they were younger. Thanks for the cache

After checking likely places one of the boys found one half on the floor - muggled! I found the other half and added together and replaced low down. Notified the CO by write note, then by mouth a few days later.
Meeting up with the little ones today at the new park, and after some play we went on a shortish stroll and snapped up some of the more recent (to me) hides.
Into June already and Winter is here with temperatures dropping later in the day, and curtains drawn earlier and earlier. Time to head to the 'Winterless North' - Yeah Right. A few days away up from Rangitikei and another 4 night stay at Chateau Ngunguru, the works bach. A good time to catch up with the family and grandchildren in Maungatapere, and a few trips to spend time with each other in Whangarei. Highlights of the visit; A few more Riser caches, some more 0B80B8 ones, meeting both of those COs within a few hours of each other on the Monday, and another rare Wherigo. As ever, thanks to all COs for their hides and maintenance.

Out getting caches before the rain gets here. Catching up on the newer caches that have popped up recently. Parked up in the carpark next the cache, only one muggle who was concentrating on his bike rather than us. Wandered across to GZ. This one as simple as it is took a little bit of looking before the obvious became known! Signed and replaced. TFTC
4 of four that we collected today with our mini cacher. A nice easy spot for her to find solo.
Quick find with yvettetb after an ANZAC event nearby. We did a quick circuit of 6 caches in the area before heading along the shared path towards Onerahi for more caches. Great afternoon out! Tftc
After attending an ANZAC event we decided to spend the afternoon enjoying the Autumn sunshine and geocaching. The last cache on our way back to the car after doing a loop of 6 caches in the area. This was a quick find. Thanks for bringing me here as I hadn't been before. Found with The TravelbugTribe. TFGC
FTF:Sunday morning regular loop walk so decided to knock off a few new caches.
Nice and close to home, watched the next couple with their pooch find the cache from the comfort of my lounge.
