Today we headed to Ulverstone to attend the events and on the way home we did a few caches along the way, and this was one of them. A warm but a tad wet during the day down the coast. An enjoyable trail, we started from the top and made our way to the Don Railway. A few challenges along the way but got there in the end.Cache and contents in good condition. Many thanks rhubarbroad for your cache placement here.
Nice warm evening so I took my work colleague to teach her how to geocache. I must say she enjoyed finding all the cleaver caches along this track.Easy sneaky find for the new geocachers, if it was just me I would have missed it!Thanks, Rhubarbroad Road for all the effort put into this cache
Today we headed into Don to walk this path and attempt all the caches along here. We were looking forward to seeing what splendid creations Mr Rhubarbroad would have for us and we were not disappointed. Sadly through we did have one dnf but hopefully that one will be found next time we are in Devonport in February.Got my hands very dirty here, clever hide. TFTC Rhubarbroad
Very sneaky and maybe a little on the dodgy side?! Mrs H spotted this one after a short hunt. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
That was very very sneaky, took a little extra time to find but geosis happened to put her hand on it and voila. Another clever piece of caching TFTC
Couldn't find this on our way upstream, so tried again on the way back down. This time found relatively quickly. Mrs TiedyeSmileys was making up lots of excuses why she missed it earlier saying she noticed it and thought it would make a great cache but didn't actually check it. Have another favourite point TFTC
Hmm... had to have a second lookThanks For The Cache INFORMATIONSearch (EST)/SL Time:10M/13:58TODAY FINDS/DNF:2/0Finder Note: All SYSTEMS GO ON THIS CACHE!
With Happy Feet. It took us a couple of goes and a suggestion from Happy Feet did the trick! All previous comments are valid and make the eventual find all that more satisfying.
Very cool creative hide. Took up ages and so received to have found it. Worth the hunt. Beautiful track
I was really keen to do this Don to Tugrah River Trail today, my last day in Devonport, so i parked up the GeoMobile close to the popular Don River Railway Museum and set off on foot to do the "loop" i had planned to walk, not just to grab some hides but to get my step count up too, so a Win-Win was on the cards. What a sneaky hide! Not for me today, though as i arrived at GZ, had a wee 30 second look first, then looked at something i thought might be it and sure as eggs it was. Admittedly that was a pure fluke but i'll take it, i love it when that happens Signed the log with no unwanted "Non-Geocaching Folk" about, at 08:59 on Thursday the 11th of April 2024.The cache and contents are fine and dry.TFTC rhubarbroad
Thanks for the cache rhubarbroad. It was a lovely morning to take a stroll along this track. The two GeoGSP's enjoyed lots of sniffing, and didn't mind when I stopped to look for this cache. I'd looked for this one on a previous trip, and this time I was keen to have a successful find. I knew there was no point in looking where I had looked before. After a minute, I spotted something suspect from a particular angle that needed investigating, and sure enough, I'd found the cache. This one deserves a favourite.
What an awesome hide!! It took us a few minutes to figure out the clue, we knew what was meant though . And wed suffered from cache blindness until we stopped and thought about it Another favourite point from us Found with LittleBoo17Now back onto this damn bike that I havent ridden for 30 years to find the next one, I appreciate the longer hunt to get myself moving again, but I think Ill be sore tomorrow
Super cool! I wasnt giving up and finally thought about the hint. Thanks for an awesome cache!
What a cool hide. This has been the most fun we have had out searching! Great hint and TFTC
oh wow!! this was our second time coming here!! and im so glad we did!! what a treat!! thanks so much
Awsome cache but was rather challenging but found it in the end. The hint got us through. TFTC
After attending a CITO Event nearby on a beautiful autumn day I came to complete this rail trail series but only arrived here to make a reasonably quick find then the phone battery gave up so I will need to come back to complete the series.I suspect this tree made a serious crashing noise when it departed from its vertical position.
Out geocaching with Angus, 88. A very clever hide. Just by chance, Angus 88, put her hand in the right spot. A very innovative geocache. You went to a lot of trouble to make this geocache interesting.
Now that we are back in the state, we wanted to head out to look for the new caches that have been placed along the old railway line that ran from Don to Melrose. We have pleasant memories of having walked the track over ten years ago and wanted to return to the area to refresh our memories.
The surface of the track made for easy and pleasant walking, far easier on our feet than the cobblestones we had been experiencing in parts of Europe for the last fortnight. When we got to this area, our GPS pointed to a location consistent with the cache name. We searched the area but then one of us looked from a slightly different angle and saw something interesting. On further investigation the cache was located in an excellent hide - well designed and thoughtfully placed. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks rhubardroad for another great cache - it also earns a favourite from us.

Didn't have a lot of time to look for this one - there were actually muggles approaching from both directions - which is good considering this track is fairly new - but bad if you want to do some sneaky geocaching. Leaving this one for my next visit
Another exc hide which took awhile to find.....another fav here.
Many tftc rhubarbroad, thoroughly enjoyed...cheers ST.

FTF at 7:50 am 21/4/2023. Thank you so much for this series of caches. It has introduced us to a new walking path & another fantastic design.
Back today to ride this track again and again missed out on a FTF by several hours. Wonder if there'll be another one tomorrow??
Another neat hide and another favourite point awarded.
Thanks rhubarbroad.
