Today we headed to Ulverstone to attend the events and on the way home we did a few caches along the way, and this was one of them. A warm but a tad wet during the day down the coast. An enjoyable trail, we started from the top and made our way to the Don Railway. A few challenges along the way but got there in the end.Cache and contents in good condition. Many thanks rhubarbroad for your cache placement here.
Nice warm evening so I took my work colleague to teach her how to geocache. I must say she enjoyed finding all the cleaver caches along this track.Easy sneaky find. Needs new logThanks, Rhubarbroad Road for all the effort put into this cache
Today we headed into Don to walk this path and attempt all the caches along here. We were looking forward to seeing what splendid creations Mr Rhubarbroad would have for us and we were not disappointed. Sadly through we did have one dnf but hopefully that one will be found next time we are in Devonport in February. This one took a couple of minutes to spot and another that the Geohusband located. TFTC Rhubarbroad
A sneaky hide but we spotted it straight away. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
We were pretty sure what this would be (although it was a bit different than we expected). Took a while to find though as all the recent rain brought down a lot of leaves and mud to cover itTFTC
Follow the clues in the log...TFTCINFORMATION (Find Time EST: 10 F:4? DNF:0 SL Time: 15:02 )Finder Maintenance Note:LOGBOOK LOW SPACE ADDED A PENCIL TO JUST GET BY... forgot my paper...
One of these things is not like the other . Nice quick find by Happy Feet. TFTC
I was really keen to do this Don to Tugrah River Trail today, my last day in Devonport, so i parked up the GeoMobile close to the popular Don River Railway Museum and set off on foot to do the "loop" i had planned to walk, not just to grab some hides but to get my step count up too, so a Win-Win was on the cards.A nice quick find after i cleared the fallen leaves away a bit more and the cache was revealed.Signed the dry log at 09:43 on Thursday 11 April 2024.The day is starting to warm up as it is sunny with hardly any wind [^] how i like it TFTC rhubarbroad
Another super fast find, we love all the different types of caches we are finding today. Found with LittleBoo17TFTC
Thanks its been a lovely walk with friend Angus 88 and 4 West highland terriers who enjoyed their bush walk
Set out to walk the track and collect all the caches. arrived here and made a quick find only to realise we had both forgotten to grab a pen. Took photo of log infront of a nearby structure as proof of find and decided to head back to the car and drive to the Don and do the track from the other end. With a pen.Everything in excellent dry condition
Great little walk along the track. We started with this one, the 9 year old was excited to find it!
Great find, great walk. One of these days I'll actually remember to bring a pencil!
Thanks so much
Thanks so much
Took the opportunity of a sunny day to finally get the last of this series! Will be great when they complete the footpath on Tugrah Road so we can walk a loop! TFTC
The final in the series posed no difficulty to locate as I had a fair idea what to look for. Thank you for the series it was a great walk.
Really enjoyed the walk with Geo Maggie2 on this track. This was the last one to find. However on the way back, we will have another look for the first one which did give us some grief. Thank you for the placement of this series. Found, stamped and replaced, with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook. Join us there. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
Travelling with Angus 88. This is a wonderful series of geocaches. I have thoroughly enjoyed walking along and collecting these geocaches. Very innovative. Thank you for this series, one and a half.
Now that we are back in the state, we wanted to head out to look for the new caches that have been placed along the old railway line that ran from Don to Melrose. We have pleasant memories of having walked the track over ten years ago and wanted to return to the area to refresh our memories.
The Don River was very picturesque today, with a steady flow of water. As we approached this cache, we left the banks of the river and turned to the east. At that point we were passed by a runner who was very focussed on his task - he came back within a minute or two, apparently having reached the end of the current track development. Accurate coordinates and the cache name led to a quick find of a familiar style of cache. The cache and contents were in good condition, although the cap on the tube is somewhat brittle and starting to show signs of breaking up. Thanks rhubarbroad for another well placed cache.
We then turned around and headed back down the track towards our car. As well as finding the caches, we were very pleased that we had the opportunity to walk the old railway easement again. It is a lovely area and one which we hope continues to be extended towards the arboretum and possibly beyond.

Thanks for the cache rhubarbroad.
After attending an event in Latrobe earlier today, I was keen to make the most of the good weather and take the two GeoGSP's for a walk - and this new track was next on the list. We headed to the furthest cache and then made our way back.
Accurate coords lead to a quick find at GZ.

The last cache on this section of the track and another quick find of a cache type we have found many times before but not quite like this one. Then we continued on to the sign where we were told to turn around. Hopefully one day we will get to ride all the way to the Melrose quarry. Thanks Rhubarbroad.
Parked on a newly surveyed Rd Reserve only 120m from gz.
Followed the track around the fence line to gz where the sneaky hide was found.
Many tftc rhubarbroad...thoroughly enjoyed.....cheers ST.
