**Signed on the 9th of June. Cache is currently not assessable**Had this one on me thoughts for a long while.Created by me ol mate karicka.Probably found about 100 caches in the shire. Most proud that I found some of the harder to get to caches. At the time of writing I can boast I am the only person in the world to have found every non traditional cache in Mount Isa LGA , and the ones I havent come under my stable of hides.(*not including Adventure Labs*).Thanks karicka for the challenge. Thanks drrnrchr for keeping the challenge cache alive.Cheers.**FP for being a challenge cache**
Went up to this little hill and see what the fuss what about.Quite surprised me wheels got up there on that crappy roadlolGreat spot thoughNice trig point very close by.Currently sitting on 17/70 maybe 10 more after today. No rush though.Cheers for the challenge.
I found this cache but have not completed the challenge to find 70 in My Isa, unfortunately I'm here for work and don't have that much free time. Beautiful view from the top and definitely worth the walk to the top, 2kms each way. Thankyou!
This was on my radar for this visit because I was hoping our slightly bigger car would make it up and save me a walk up like last time - and it did!!! We still parked a good distance away and made the stroll across the top admiring the scenery. The husband took his big camera out and was happy to get a few shots off while I continued along and made the find. Will check for qualifying later once home most likely.
Thank you for placing this cache. Took me a while to get the needed caches. Out and about checking where the fires had burnt. Thanks drrnrchr for maintaining this cache.datsin1600fulfills challengeThe Mount Isa Challenge (GCA7FWG)according tohttps://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA7FWG/76811
Checked on this one just now. Sadly it has been destroyed by the bushfires, so I will disable until I get back up there with a new container and logbook

Set the GPS coords for this one and thought we had the right track, but NO, it came to an abrupt end, now to turn the car around in this narrow track, managed to do so and then took the right road to where we needed to be. What a great view from the cache, Mt Isa looks soo small from this vantage point.Fav point for the viewEdit log, forgot to add the Project GC script Snakepitters fulfills challenge The Mount Isa Challenge (GCA7FWG) according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA7FWG/76811Thanks drrnrchr for the caches.Total Cache Finds 14935,

More exploring around Mount Isa with hatzofff, Grannysmith1947 and Snickersallan. Signed as Team Q4. We are also with the TBUs.Today we journey to the lake and back after some really early hill work.Close to the end of a very long and tiring day, the group decided one last ditch attempt before tomorrow's journey to Burke Shire. Oh well. Guess I'd better tag along!Well, I reckon I could really have driven the old faithful GeoFalcon up here, no troubles today. What fantastic views. Found an old Trig Point, too. Nobody else here but Bobby and Me. Day 84 of our greynomad trip up north from Vic, after a the JLWEvents in Wudinna SA, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, through to Alice Springs, Uluru, Darwin, Kakadu and Litchfield we continue our journey back south. It is also day 83 of a streak.
Staying in Mt Isa for a few nights more than we originally planned as we require a car repair. Thanks karicka for the cache. Telstra busy working in the area, but if you treat folk well, you can get your name on the prized log book.
We don't qualify yet, but probably will by the time we leave next week.

Drove to the start of the road we were to go up. And said O. S..t. After a bit of a discussion, we gave it a go in our 4wd. Wow, what an experience it was for us. Once we reached the top, it was a definite wow surprise. You can see for miles . Anyway, we found the cache signed the paper log and returned the cache to its hide. This smile is not for the faint harted. A definite f.p from us. Thanks for the challenge. P.s we also qualified for the challenge Project G C a7fwg/76811

{*FTF*} Well that was an adventure. Note to others - finding this cache in thongs on a pitch black super windy night is DEFINITELY a bad idea. Just saying’.
After seeing this new cache appear and verifying eligibility, I decided the find could wait until after dinner when I could take the geowife on the adventure. After all, a quick look at the map said there was a track basically right to the cache. All was going swimmingly until I run out of track and Cachly told me “buddy there’s still 50m to go”.
With led lights in hand, we set off in the direction indicated, whilst hobbling over the rocky ground and trying in vain not to be blown off the side of the hill.
So summing up, just another Wednesday night in the life of a geocacher.
A favourite point given for publishing a challenge cache in the Isa.
Proof of eligibility attached.
Thanks to karicka for hiding and maintaining this cache.
