Out for a bike ride with the kidlets! Keen as always to find a few caches just completely forgot to bring a pen! Tftc!!
Found on a soggy Sunday, was already a little wet so I just had to clamber up. TFTC and adventure.
Well that could possibly be my first PCG (Park, climb, grab). A quick dash up and down the tree this afternoon after a long day in the mountains collecting some DM series caches. I decided to clear out this suburb too on my way back down the mountain before heading home with some tired legs. Thanks heybuddha for the fun!
Did a quick check up on this one while walking past to find it was no longer attached to its hiding spot. Luckily, I found the container still perfectly intact not far away. Will replace in the next few days.
Well, we felt a trifle deceived here! After a very frustrating morning around the Yarra at Richmond this morning we thought we would just duck up here for some easy real caches. So when we saw the placement of this cache and its 38 hot degrees in the late afternoon we were in no mood to go back and pull the ladder out of the car. Not so simple after all. Another day perhaps!
Out with xambo4u, we spotted the cache but it was not to be retrieved today. We will return with a TOTT.
Out and about with echidna44 for a half day of caching. This was to be our last for the day and we were a little weary. Very surprised with its location but as I am a happy climber we went to give it a look. Echidna44 spotted it but no way without a ladder could I do this one. With the high exposure here and lack of boughs its not high my list.
Way too many muggles this morning, but I was able to spot it at least so tonight it was a quick grab. Thanks to heybuddha for the fun and the adventure.
The description is somewhat misleading because you do, in fact, need to ascend the tree. We endeavoured to make a stealthy swift climb and sign, then made an equally hasty getaway, but without any takeaway! Thanks for this cache climb heybuddha
This cache is perfectly positioned for a quick stop on the way home from work to fill a calendar gap... or so I thought! My first attempt was at night and there were a few muggles in sight partaking as the name says, takeaway night.. visit number two and I brought a friend to assist with the climb.thanks for pointing out the shops and they may come in handy for dinner another night
Oh what would I do without my intrepid Crusty?!!! In no time at all, whilst making sure we were muggle-free, Crusty had a TOTT in hand and in no time at all had hands on the cache. I of course did all the important stuff...you know.....making encouraging noises and waiting with pen poised for action LOL! Thanks for the cache heybuddha
With RedcbBluebm and Pilot, we called in here expecting to have muggles loitering about. We must have arrived at just the right time as there was only one person passing by, so we waited till be had gone before dragging out a TOTT and recovering the cache. Thanks for adding to our game, heybuddha.
I came by here yesterday as part of a walk to pick up the nearby Blind Creek Trail caches. Reading the description on the way I soon realised that finding this during a busy Saturday late afternoon was but going to be a happening thang. Nonetheless, I figured I would come by anyway and suss it out. I fairly quickly spotted the cache and planned my line of attack.
Just over 12 hours later I was back, turning Takeaway Night into Takeaway Dawn. With nobody around I could park right at GZ and moments later was making the ascent. Nothing too difficult at all and I was able to retrieve, sign and return in situ. The descent was also pretty straightforward - all easily done!! TFTC

The_Tritonz were on a rare metro trip and I was lucky enough to be invited to join OzHockeyChick and The_Tritonz on an afternoon cache adventure. I had a long list of things to do before I left for QOGM, but what’s another day!
A nice quick and easy climb before stopping for a bite for lunch.
Thanks heybuddha for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

In Melbourne for the weekend, which turned out to be our 10th caching anniversary, targeting tree climbs with our great mates OzHockeyChick and RoamingHowie.
A nice easy climb making for a quick find. Now to take advantage of all these fooderies, what will we pick for lunch?
Thanks heybuddha for the cache placement.

*Cache find # 15014.*
I was going by this one and decided to stop and have a look, once there it took me a little while to spot it and when I did, I thought, that isn't too bad but I had to wait a little while before I could head up and retrieve it, once I had the log I came back down to sign it, the only problem then was getting it back, so I bit more wait time and when the coast was clear the log was back in the cache like a flash.
**Thanks to heybuddha for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**

Came for a quick drive by, but it turned out not so. We could see the cache quite easily, but it was out of reach. Two of us made the climb but still couldn't get to the required height to reach it. Disappointing since the description states that it is not a climb; we will have to return with a ladder.
Out this morning on a walk and picking up some caches! Nice quick find here once I figured out where I should be, tftc!
Although dot558 and I found it
Couldn't retrieve it to sign log
This is one that will have to stay a do not finish

Tough one. It might be a good idea to hint that one approach may involve climbing, so people are on notice: David
We had looked for this cache yesterday, spotted the cache and as we were deciding on the best approach a muggle came and sat with a coffee. Hmm - he could be awhile! So we decided to depart and try again later. Today I'm back again and this time it seemed a lot quieter although there was the occasional pedestrian as well as a lot of cars passing nearby. Obtaining the log was quite as easy as I thought but eventually the log was signed. Thanks to heybuddha for the cache.
With the new [Wheel of Challenges Challenge](https://www.geocaching.com/live/campaign/wheelofchallenges) being all about getting out every day, I knew I had to get out and find at least one cache today.
After reading the cache page and it saying it wasn't much of a tree climb I figured this would be a simple cache to grab. I imagined that it would be just a bit of a reach, however, I now know what the [CO](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=88085c75-d395-49ab-a9e3-f768ed65ca08&wid=6de55a2e-573d-4dee-8e2d-474fb2abf046&ds=2) means by not much of a tree climb lol.
I can also see why this cache was called Takeaway **Night** and not Takeaway **Day**. I of course made the mistake of not looking at all the attributes and missed that it was a "Recommended at Night," cache and I can see why.
Even on a lazy Sunday morning the area was still fairly busy with muggles. Once I arrived at GZ and had a bit of a search I could now see that this tree climb was going to be a bit more than I expected.
*mmhmm.... how am I going to get this one with out being seen...*
Well I had to chose my timing wisely, and eventually I was able to sneak up and make the climb. Although not the tallest tree climb, the angle my body had to contort to balance up in the tree to reach the cache definitely was a site to see. I was able to reach the cache, but then I couldn't balance enough to sign. So I had to climb back down to sign the log, but this meant I had to wait again to make the climb back up.
Eventually the coast was clear again and I was able to replace the cache without drawing to much attention to myself.
A big thanks goes to [heybuddha](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=88085c75-d395-49ab-a9e3-f768ed65ca08&wid=6de55a2e-573d-4dee-8e2d-474fb2abf046&ds=2) for the fun this morning. TFTC.
**Cache Maintenance Status**
The cache container was in good shape. The attachment mechanism still seemed strong and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

Well so much for a park and grab. Ha.
With the find in sight I contemplated the right way to get to it without falling upside down into the bushes.
I got my hand on it and planned to perform a one handed extraction. No such luck. Two hands where needed.
A hot shoe shuffle and up we went for a two handed approach. Hanging on with my elbows the wind started to blow and my knees started to wobble.
A very scruffy scribble in the book was made. I could hardly read it. Purple pen. That was me. Ha.
Well played.

Out with Cooper from fisherfamfive today. It didn't take us long to realise where this one could be, and soon afterwards the little blighter was spotted. Cooper made the climb and passed it down where we signed the log and added this one to our found list for the day! Tftc heybuddha
Out with CammJT today on the bikes for a large day on the Blind Creek Trail and Jells Park. After sitting down quite close to GZ and getting our bearings about us for a minute or two, we had narrowed down where we needed to search to one area. Alas, the cache was quickly spotted and after clambering our way to the cache, the logbook was signed shortly after. Tftc heybuddha
I could see the cache, but I am petite and it was way too high for me to attempt. Bah.
We found this cache today on our Late Saturday Afternoon Local Wander. The terrain was right on my limit but was able to grab it ok. On replacing it, the bottom dropped as I attempted to replace it and I had to send "H" in to retrieve. Second time it was all back together. Thanks from D & H B-A
I was blind I couldn’t see it from the ground so took a step up on the tree and there it was ! Blends in nicely:)
I was in the area on a bus driving job today, and had the chance to seek out a few caches.
A walk was in order as I'm breaking in a new pair of boots. As parking a bus, even a 35 seater, can be tricky, I continued my creek trail walk down to this one.
The description initially had me looking too low, but after a minute or two of trying not to look suspicious while scanning the foliage, I spotted the little container.
Well, it's no towering forest giant, but it is a tree climb, even if there is some infrastructure assistance to be had.
A few muggles passed by my perch as I signed the log, but none paid me any heed.
All in good dry condition.
As it was approaching lunchtime, I availed myself of a delicious pie at the bakery as reward for my success so far today, before heading back to the trail and thence to my bus.

Nice hide. Thankfully had a more agile friend with me to retrieve the cache. All in good condition. TFTC

Out and about with n0w0rries, giving Traveling_Jack a taste of Melbourne caching...
Now, this was another that or chauffeur had managed to get to before anyone else, and I'd heard the tale. How funny to find ourselves just around the corner so we could also experience it.
I spotted the attachment from below, and our French companion did the honours.
Thanks, heybuddha. A fun hide.

Routine maintenance run. Checked up on this little fella after the recent heavy rains.
All good here.
All good here.
We were aiming to find our 8000th today but needed another 5 before the big one, but we also needed the weather to play nice!! We had chosen a group of caches but then quiet1_au pointed out one was a pretty high tree climb so we had to cross that one off and find another one, so although it was in the wrong direction, it was the closest unfound traditional that wasn’t a tree climb, so off we tottled. After finding that one, we were a bit late arriving at the meeting place with quiet1_au. Arriving here for our 3rd for the day the gps was sending us all over the place when GMelb spotted the hide. It was a bit of a stretch for him but he managed to do the necessary job. After this we headed on our way but sadly the weather and the time got the better of us to make the milestone today, never mind!

Second cache for GJMMelb and I this cold afternoon. I arrived a little before them (suprisingly) but held off starting the search early. We had the place to ourselves thankfully as after a short search G spotted it and went after it. A bit of a stretch but logged signed and cache safely replaced - TFTC
Thank haybuddah, it’s great that someone has placed some new caches in this area, it gives us a reason to go over some old ground and do some more searching, so thanks for the cache
Found by Rebel Acts in the company of Omegaman1971
just a hand full of caches today as we turned unfound's into smiles, always plenty of laughs while we are out and about.
This is one of the caches found today. Thankfully we had a TOTT to get this one, I think the T rating is a little low.
Thanks heybuddha for the cache.

Out and about with Rebel Acts for some smiles on the map, not too many finds today due to work commitments but still had fun.
Cheers for the cache.

Out for a bike ride on this quiet Anzac Day morning. I originally rode past and someone was reading a book right at GZ so I moved on and came back 45 minutes later and thankfully they had left. I spotted it from the ground and up I went, glad that I was here in the morning while most stuff was closed so it wasn't too busy.
Thanks heybuddha for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I arrived at about 9:20 or so to an empty car park and promising that I’d pick my gf up at 9:30, I only really had a solid 5 or so minutes to get this one done
I am quite good friends with heybuddha and was with her on a slightly drunken adventure when she initially spotted the tree. My mind was more focused on the pizza, but she boldly proclaimed “I’m gonna put a cache in there”. With the amount of hides sitting in her almost done pile I didn’t expect this one to be added so quickly.
Anyway when I arrived at gz I had a decent search around in the shrubbery, before remembering who placed this. Heybuddha is a keen tree climber, and a check of the attributes confirmed my suspicions.
I then went deeper into the area as my gps started to freak out. I knew which tree it was and so now I restarted the search. I shone my phone torch around to little avail while getting some strange looks from a passer-by.
Finally after trying to act as inconspicuous as a man standing in a bush with a torch can be, I spotted a slight glint from the mechanism holding the cache up.
A quick climb was all that was needed to complete a nice fun cache. Definitely worth being 5 minutes late to pick up my girlfriend.
I strongly recommend people check out CLIMB TIME: Scoresby sextuplet if they are avid tree climbers. It is by heybuddha and myself

At first glance the menu suggested a most difficult entrée, however the main course was served, piping hot.
It is often astounding that you can be in the middle of the most populated city in the country, and yet, almost invisible at the same time.
I was pleasantly surprised to find a pristine log sheet more than three hours after publication.
Thanks for feeding the game heybuddha.
