WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 4 - Werrimul to Morgan via Renmark. After a big night at Moulamein, Werrimul was pretty quiet, just a few locals playing pool and then just me for dinner with the publican. Today started off a bit cloudy, but it was the warmest it has been so far. I even put shorts on after lunch. This part of the journey is the same as my normal route to Adelaide, so there was not much caching until I turned off the main road towards Morgan. I visited a lock and a few roadside caches along the way. The afternoon was a chance to catch up and recharge by the river in Morgan, but I did manage to walk around for the labs by the river and old railway area. I managed three roadside caches as I drove the last section into Morgan. A short stop at the rest area before moving down to the camp ground to get set up.Thanks for the cache bindikins46400.6 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2013 St Peter's Basilica A#258**Albida**

I think this is the third time I have been to this park for a geocache. Quick find after fueling up in town. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of OzGeoMuster MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Adelaide to Broken HillDay two. Broken Hill to WellingtonDay three. Wellington to CowraDay four. Cowra to BathurstDay five. Bathurst to CanberraDay six. Canberra to CanberraDay seven. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Something special or unusual goes here:Time to head into Morgan for a bit to eat. Found a nice picnic table with shade near to this cache so this was the spot to stope for lunch. - Even if it was after 3.00 p.m. already. [:o)]The Generic Bit:Another Tuesday Trek with just me and Mrs. Sewer Rats. Country, Coffee, Cats, Champagne, Chocolate, and Caching...

On the road again, with Mr Froghoppin, caching along the way wherever we go

[^] [^]

In a hazardous world filled with rusty old mint tins and solid objects falling from trees
- - - a cache a day keeps the boredom away Wink

--------

Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp Wink ) The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]

----------
Make sure that Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Wink
(Covid cancels caching! - Flu finished fun!))
Keep a safe distance - clean and cache the countryside Big Grin

Special thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas,
in sensible safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting Cool

Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!!

Big Grin [:o)] Wink

The end. For now... ... until next time! Wink

It's the first of the month and I was up in Morgan after a FTF. Managed to find 2 others from the same CO while there and then went pagan and found five Used2Bs, one after the other, on the long and winding road home. The last one of these was in Eden Valley after which I kept heading north, away from home, for a puzzle letterbox that I felt I had to find after the trouble it had given me. Finally started towards home with a couple of puzzles and then a couple of Lava multis to finish a very satisfying day out.
After finding the other two new ones from these teams had to go for the triple treat which will leave one slightly older one for the next visit Big Grin
Thanks bindikins, Woems1 for putting out this cache for all to find.
Cache #13315 for me.
