I first came looking for this eons ago but the water was too high and cold and I had thrown out the leaky gumboots when I moved houses. Back today an hour before low tide with a newish pair of gummies so it was a no brainer to come and find this before heading home this afternoon. He's a cutey! And I even remembered to record the numbers so now its back home to see what numbers I have and what I don't because I forgot to note them on at least two of the series. TFTC # 22,415
This was a fun detour, wasn't sure how high the river would be but after grabbing a nearby cache I decided to cycle down and find out. Looks ok, took off my shoes, and picked up my bike to head across. A fun hide here before I continued across further to the other side, TFTC
A convenient low tide midday coincided with a family visit to the area so we were finally able to get to this cache after a couple of previous attempts.I let Hazedarus do the "hard yards" while I stood by with the pen. Extra information noted. Many years ago and over several seasons I spent countless hours here in pursuit of that seasonal delicacy, sometimes successful, sometimes not so much especially the morning an eel came rapidly upstream and straight into my net and out the side of it leaving a considerable split in the mesh[:(!]I notice a considerable change in the topography here, it looks like the ford has moved downstream a bit but it's still obviously well used.Thank you Sidewaze.
There was no reason not to combine a family visit with some caching. So a circuit was decided upon to travel along. Not that we haven't passed a few times but the tides never agreed. Not today.I recall clambering around GZ long time ago and was surprised about the change of the landscape. While Holymu was reminiscing over those real or imaginary whitebait catches I got on with it and handed the log over to be signed. The extra info was noted.Thank you Sidewaze
Another day out and about knocking off some green and orange and blue question marks. Tackled a few closer to home today. This was our first as we timed it to get the tides right. Andy looked at a couple of places to cross but thought he might get wet trousers so changed into shorts and marched across with the water mid calf. Cache located and signed off and bonus numbers collected. Off to the next one now. tftc

Found with ulmuslynx.
We met two muggles who gave us hints on crossing the stream.
Great hide
Thank you for the cache

Found with no.13. Dog walkers came along while pulling gummies on. Said we were geocaching and one had heard of it. They indicated a spot to cross where slightly shallower (old ford?). Made it in half gummies. Had to get past a gorse bush on way. All good. Tftc and series
I needed 3 caches today so headed over to Mot after work, this was my first one, it was almost dark when I arrived. I'd checked the tides before leaving work so knew it was a good time. Put on my gumboots and could see in the torchlight that it wasn't that deep although it was deeper on the other side and I did find one step that the mud was a bit softer than the rest and I thought the water was going to go over the top of my boots but made it and stayed dry. Another nice container and I was soon on my way back to the car this time picking a firmer route. Definitely worthy of a favourite for the container and the fun night adventure. Thanks Sidewaze

A quick find with TARV2014. We followed the suggestion on the cache page and timed our visit carefully leading to a straight forward find. Thanks Sidewaze for find four in this series.
This was the perfect cache to give the gumboots a good clean, SJT_NZ did the planning on this one and we got to the vicinity at perfect time. A short wander and quick find. Information collected and log signed and back in place. Thanks Sidewaze for another one down, to quote a well known band https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1Jm5epJr10
FTF
An outing with Agazo today.
I did a double take when I was updating my data last night to discover that two FTF's were still up for grabs. Pleased to discover that Agazo had arranged for us be enjoy low tide here.
Still...we weren't particularly "prepared" and stood at the waters edge for a moment pondering.
What actually spurred me to "go get" was that I never managed to go and find the Beltfamily hide that was here previously so I wasn't going to walk away from this one when the water levels were perfect. I said hello to Mr Walrus and remembered to grab the numbers.

Marchwood and I came over to grab this FTF almost a week after publication. It was clear why many people shied away form this one. Marchwood did the heavy lifting to get the cache, while I provided moral support. TFTC.
