Another great earthcache in a beautiful part of Queensland. Answers to follow. Thanks TeamThommo for your earthcache.
We were there at 2:21 PM What a lovely lookout and memorial display! Was surprised to learn that Australia imports sandstone from China!!Thanks to TeamThommo
The blocks are fascinating, more so when looked at with detail. It was great to have this earthcache to highlight them .Today started in the lovely town of Yappoon. I was surprised at its size and popularity, but worthy as it is a nice place I'm pleased to have visited. We spent the best part of the morning exploring coastal caches, esrhcaches, a virtual and adventure labs which saw some great locations.Back into Rockhampton to complete the adventure lab in the botanical gardens with a few caches while there. I quite enjoyed the gardens, a nice area although not so caravan parking friendly but we managed!Leaving Rockhampton, iit was out to Mount Morgan for an earthcsche, an AL and more caches. The mine was an incredible site, such an old mine with its buildings and chimneys, a nice town too. A short travelling day, despite hoping to cover some ground, we stopped in Dululu early, a free camp in town had us spending the evening around a campfire with other campers. Thanks for your cache.
Finished another long trip around Australia. The 6th. Next up to Townsville to grab the Palm Island LGA. Only 2 LGAs to complete Australia.Firstly heading back south for some Canberra time.TFTC. Yeppoon has a drive through Chinese Resturant. Nice.Did the Earth Caches at Yeppoon and then the Ad Lab that took us back to Rockhampton. Now venturing out to more Earth Caches at Mount Morgan and beyond.Camping at Dululu.Excellent sandstone seating. Great views.
We walked over from our campsite into town to get something for dinner. Once we'd finished eating we looked to see if there were any caches nearby. We then spotted this Earth cache.Even though it was dark we decided to tackle it as we had a torch. Shining it on the sandstone blocks we were able to find the answers. A fun little night's stroll. This one was tricky. I studied geology at university. I must have forgotten everything but the name of the course.
We were in Emu Park today and noted this earthcache so it had to be done. What spectacular coastal landscape around here. Tftc. We loved it.
Your Earthcache in the Coast of Emu Park is for us foreign visitors to difficult
Over here to visit Mum a long way from where we usualoy are, it looks like a Banana to me!
After a few days on Keppel Island and in Yeppoon, my Muggle daughter and I stopped at Emu Park to explore this incredible war memorial. I was impressed! I love earthcaches and am a rock hound so found this one especially interesting. For history fans, the board at the main memorial has an interesting explanation about the changes made to the famous soldiers photo found at the memorial. Favourite point for the detailed information and fantastic location. TFTEC!
This was a lovely place to visit. Send answers and allowed to log. Thank you for bringing us here
