We started this one looking too low first and then things became clearer when we looked at the container size and thought about where it might be located. TFTC.

Will have to come back another day, had a good search around but had no luck

08-Jul-24
A bit wet and windy down here but it meant I had the beach and the path mostly to myself which was just as well as I somehow managed to make this harder than it probably is. Eventually I spotted the hide and was adding my name to the log, thanks for the cache Saltie.

Wow, after me and my partner spent atleast 15 minutes circling, and numerous times nearly giving up as the rain set in, it was finally spotted. TFTC

Another quick find after a short walk. Taking care with following parking suggestions..

Out for some caching with Jonescrew while camping for a few weeks at Ocean Grove. The weather was a bit ordinary today for a beach walk, even had a light shower. But at least we weren't getting burnt. The caches took much longer to find than expected with some clever tricky hides. Bit windy at this cache! Tftc

Staying in Ocean Grove for the weekend and Geocaching, walking and sightseeing was on the agenda today. This series covered all those bases so we set our Strava and headed off. Loved the series not so much the steps as we took the beach route. Lots of people out today, enjoying the weather and heaps of dogs out having fun either chasing balls or enjoying the water. Quick find here, nice hide TFTC

We are down here for a few days, this time staying on the Barwon Heads side of the bridge. We set off nice and early this morning to beat the hot weather and found a couple in Barwon Heads, then headed over here to this series. Once we found 10W the plan was J would walk to 9 whilst G would move the car. However there was no parking near 9 so he headed here to 8 whilst J walked to 9 then up to GZ but no G?? Where is he? A quick phone call established he had found this one and was now walking back to 9. Lol TFTC Saltie - GJMMelb

Today we headed down to OG to try our hand at all the latest cache placements since our last visit. Amazing how many newly released caches there has been in such a short time. A bonus for the caching community and us of coarse.
Now with the fit Triton legging it from each pedestrian entrance down to the caches and back again, I waited at the other end while he done the dirty work.
Thanks Saltie for the cache placement.

Even though weather not conducive to beach activities, passed a dad with two kids returning from a swim, woman walking her dogs and an elderly lady returning from a walk. Thanks Saltie for placing this cache and contributing to this great game. Happy trails, Deanside

Headed over to Ocean Grove for a Bowen Therapy session, and after the session decided to go for a walk, which is always a good idea.

It is a long time since I have been to this spot on the Bellarine, probably the last time was when I was at the Collendina Hotel to see a new band called INXS, way back when they hadn't even had a hit.

It was a little chilly this morning, and it took a little while but finally we had it.

The cache is in great condition. Thank you Saltie for this Traditional cache.

A winter swimmer was getting dry right on top of this cache first time round, Who would of thunk it!! After visiting a nearby cache the return trip had this tricky one done and dusted reasonably quickly. TFTC Saltie

*A Winter's Visit To Pa! #2*
There was a lot of discussion about cache hunting techniques. DesHut narrowed the field down a bit, and then he and SueHut started to raise the possibility of a "bison in a tree". and the pros and cons thereof. I was more inclined to think otherwise - in my opinion, a cache on a fixed, stable structure was more likely to last the years.
I won't disclose who was right or wrong, or why, but it turned out I spotted the cache first. Discretely walking away to let the other two have a go, I was horrified to watch DesHut practically put his hands on it, to not notice.
I'll leave it to you to imagine the conversations had thereafter Very Happy
Thanks heaps, Saltie!

Good winter's afternoon to be caching with 2 companions, and this was our second. In the right region from the start but failed to fully explore the correct object. Moved away slightly and one of the others swooped. Thwarted again. Grrr. Good fun though. Thanks for establishing this one in an area where there aren't many potential hiding spots.
