The last person had pushed it in a little too far so I tried using my pen to push it through but then that got stuck, so I tried another pen from the other side and that got stuck!! Thankfully I found a stick I could use and managed to retrieve both my pens and the cache, phew!!

Arghhhh me hearties! Twas an easy task to spy the sneaky beasty. Then pirate wombles drew her skinny sword and plunged it deep to extract the treasure. We left our scrawl on the parchment then continued down to the seashore. Thanks for the cache McPumpkinson Big Grin

Great day. Had completed the necessary earth cache near-by and decided to pick up a few previously unclaimed traditionals. The real difficulties here are avoiding the eyes of muggles and then actually extracting the cache. Eventually the carpark emptied enough and a significant prod unearthed the cache. Great spot on a really pleasant day.TFTC

06-Oct-24
I was sort of expecting an Earthcache at this location, but instead there was this beautiful traditional cache. I did not have an extraction tool, but one was easily available on the ground, right there by the cache. Extracted, opened, logged. TFTC.

Thanks McPumpkinson for hiding this cache. Now that my calendar and streak are completed, I can just cache for the fun of it. Your Traditional cache, Pirates Bay, was just what I needed to get me out of the house and exercising. This is my find #2025 at 08:54 on 28/9/2024. Heading back to Hobart after finishing the Three Capes track, we wanted to stop at this one on the way down but the carpark was full of rally cars about to drive up the hill. Coming back today the carpark was empty and we made a quick find.Tftc McPumpkinsonFind #6254

Geez, I poked thru from both directions and came up empty handed. It was now too dark to see in/thru. Luckily my muggle mate who counted the poles, queried my poking quality, re-poked, and bingo! FOUND IT.Log sheet is overflowing, so my initials are sideways in a small gap.Needs a new sheet, sorry I don't have anything to add in as I'm travelling light on the quick overnighter. Thanks for the cache McPumpkinson.Cheers,EPs

Today we headed to Eaglehawk Neck for coastal exploration, walking and caching. What a splendid day out we had. Whilst it certainly wasnt a blue sky day we were so lucky as there was no rain and it was quite warm for the time of year. We loved the walk to waterfall bluff and the scenery was nothing short of spectacular, some real wow moments. This was a nice quick find and sign. TFTC

A day out down on the Tasman Peninsula to grab a bag of hides was the plan. If i succeed in grabbing a Cache down at Mt Brown the day may be truncated somewhat due to distance walking and uphill adding to my age-grumbles, will mean i will only grab 3 hides today and be back for the other planned 7, ha ha Big GrinParked pretty much directly on GZ. There was a Muggle parked about 15m away and looked like he was asleep in his car (saved on accommodation cost there ha ha Big Grin)I read the hint re: the 15th pole so this meant i didn't have to look sus trying to find it. It was sighted prior to trying to extricate it.With that done i was signing the log back in my GeoMobile as to not give away the hidey spot's GZ in case that sleeping Muggle awoke. SL at 08:55 on Wednesday 31 January 2023.Replaced with 'Sleeping Beauty' none the wiser Big GrinThe cache log was 100% full so i added a bit more of a scroll to the existing scroll and it fit nicely in the cache post sign, without being too tight to get out so all is good there WinkTFTC McPumpkinson Smile

Whilst Mrs y'stassie went to look for another cacher in the area, the other half of the team went to look for this cache. The initial problem was muggles - they were everywhere. Then, without any fuss and bother, they disappeared (most got into their cars or buses and headed off while some headed down to the Tessellated Pavement). Tjay gave an opportunity to search. As soon as we saw the pole, we knew what we had to do. Out initial attempt failed as the tool was too small a diameter but the second attempt dislodged the cache from its hide. The cache and log were in good condition but the log was full - we managed to write our name and the date in a small spot next to another cacher's name. Unfortunately we didn't have anything with us that was suitable. Thanks McPumpkinson for the cache.

Grabbed this one on the way back from Clydes Island. Thought we counted correctly but with muggles around we weren't keen to probe too deep and look suspicious. Jo2022AUS decided to look elsewhere while I persisted and soon enough had the prize in hand. Nice hide TFTC

Came down for a look at the tessellated pathway and thought we'd do a quick geocache. Our first thought was that the cache was missing, but on further inspection we found it. It took about 5 minutes to get the cache out but was worth. TFTC

Mr W was out and about with a rat, a goose and a budgie and they kindly stopped to let him make the find after doing the walk to Cape Raoul lookout. A clever use of the surroundings. TFTC

tassietan and I headed out for a beach walk, a caching maintenance run and to find a cache for the end of the year souvenir. This was a saved cache for just this reason. As always, the carpark was chockers, and there were people milling everywhere. We were hoping that the number of people doing all sorts of things masked our suspicious caching behaviour. At first we thought the cache was missing, but on closer inspection we discovered the sneaky hide. A great spot in plain view! Thanks for the cache McPumpkinson

25-Dec-23
RoadieM and I thought we would look for a Christmas Day cache, and this was the closest available cache. The car park was packed of course, but using stealth (and the very helpful hint to help avoid loitering for too long in such a high muggle area) we located the correct location. Initially we thought it had gone AWOL but with further investigation we located it. We didnt need tweezers but did need another tott to extract cache from perfect hiding spot. Another beautiful day on the Tasman Peninsula. Thanks for the cache McPumpkinson.

Quick find with a hint like that, but it took some coaxing to get it out. We came down here last night to take photos of the bioluminescence. We were standing right here bur hadn't checked for any nearby geocaches. Tftc

19-Nov-23
Sneaky. Got the poles counted and extracted the cache. Ran back to the car to sign it, then struggled to get it back in between all the muggles arriving.Managed to get it back into place before heading down to the tessellated pavers

Found on a trip to Tasmania with pineapplegoldy! Some caches have been signed as "Goldy and Jimmy". Goldy has sent answers and uploaded photos where applicable. TFTC

12-Nov-23
Goldy and Jimmy are holidaying in Tasmania for a few days. A quick trip away from our regular life to see sights and find caches.I'm aiming to continue my daily streak and fill some Jasmer grid spots. As well as find some challenge caches and as many virtuals as I can.Today we left Launceston and drove along the East Coast towards Port Arthur and exploring towns along the way.We also explored the Tasman Peninsula before checking into our accommodation at Eaglehawk Neck. This was a quick find here, as a stick was poking out of the cache hiding spot. This made it easy to identify where the cache was.I signed the log as "Jimmy and Goldy" to save room. A cool spot here. Very nice. Thanks for bringing us here. Thanks McPumpkinson for this traditional cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3805 on the 12th of November 2023.CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it! Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!**South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!**
