I made the poor decision yesterday to leave this trail for today. Little did I know we were in for a decent storm this morning. The tracks were quite water logged in spots with many large branches to small twigs scattered over them. All the 8 caches that I found on this trail were in good condition. I shall return when the weather (and thus tracks) are better. The 4wders that were out enjoying the mud probably wondered what in the world this crazy woman was doing on a bike out here. TFTC The road was blocked here with a fallen tree branch. Luckily I was on a bike and could easily get around it
Found by caughtatwork on 24/08/2024 at 11:41:00 AMA nice find on a weekend of geocaching in and around the Shepperton area.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
11:50Staying in Shepparton for a few days, today being our last, we made an all out effort to find some more of the 'gems' hidden around the flats. A BIG thank you to the CO who placed these caches.36947
After the Tatura event, I took the deadly treadly to The Flats in Shepparton-Mooroopna.I had ridden some of these when they first came out, but had not come back for the newer ones.Today was the day. A lovely mild day for a ride. All the tracks and trails were dry, although the thistles were head high.I initially park the car near Little and Cemetery Roads intersection and unloaded the bike.I ride clockwise around to #47, then went back to the car for lunch. In the afternoon I moved down to the other end of Cemetery Road to try the eastern caches.A lot of walking to get to some of the caches. Thanks for this series, Robmc.
The plan started out as a day at the CFA Championships in Mooroopna supporting our Echuca Fire Brigade team (they did very well with 6x1st, 1x3rd, 4x4th and 3x5th out of 24 events and more than 40 teams from Vic, NSW, and WA). There was a little bit of catching up with CFA members from other brigade and some firefighters from other states then and drive through the scrub to target some caches with specific hide dates.Thank you, The Blind Side, for this cache.#4289. Log signed at 1436Hrs.(I often sign the log book as "W+W" to save paper/time/ink)
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. In Shepparton for a few days as we wend our way towards Canberra for the GeoBash. Today we decided to explore how far we could take the GeoCruiser exploring the Moor-Shepp Hidden Gem Trail. Boy the flooding has made a mess of the tracks in here. Those we tackled we were able to drive to within 150mts today.TFTC The Blind Side [^]
Cache found with dalerious on another late night run to the forest, in hopes of keeping the streak going.Just to clarify, streak is a geocaching term for finding and logging a cache a day for as long as you can.It also means getting your kit off and running around for as long as you can without getting rugby tackled by the police.Unless you want to get rugby tackled by the police, that is, then you would also want to keep the streak alive .I believe any streak is a good streak .Thank you TBS for continuing to keep our streak alive and well. Look at it this way, you only need to publish another, say, 254 caches and we will have our 365 day streak done and dusted!
We haven't brought the bikes out here for a while. Maybe we should save a couple of these for two wheels instead of four. Naaa..... That is going to make streaking really weird. TFTC TBS.
Absolutely glorious day to be out in the great outdoors...few others out enjoying the sunshine.
Decided to go and grab a couple of caches.
Placed my first trackable here in Shepparton. Excited to see how far it goes.

Very happy to tick off another of the MSHG series by TBS on a bush walk today esp as quite a few of the remaining caches are currently inaccessible due to recent rain. Nice hide TBS, TFTC
Who doesn't love a road trip with bogonghazy and littleboss 2. TFTC The Blind Side
Heading to a night in Shepp with LittleBoss2 and Sorceysal. This was a quick find amid all the water. Nice and dry though. Thanks The Blind Side
Found with Bogonghazy and SS on our overnight trip to Shep. Thanks for placing the geocache

{FTF} @3:19pm.
Stuck at work when notifications came flowing in around 10am. Needing a cache today, I had to wait til I finished work. Happy to see no one had found them yet I ventured into the enchanted forest between Shepp and Mooroopna. Soon had cache in hand and happy to find a fresh logbook. Quickly signed and replaced in its hiding spot, I decided to leave the other two for another day.
Number 56….little known fact that Michael Voss wore 56 for the then Brisbane Bears for 8 games. We all know how good a footballer Voss turned out to be, one of the best midfielders to play the game, and respected by all for his toughness and leadership. As a Carlton fan, the jury is still out on his coaching abilities however.
Another popular 56 is Australian left arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc. He also wears it on his back in Test, One day and 20/20s.
