This is a quick puzzle and an easy find. It's just as well that this is our penultimate cache for the day, as the heat and wind are getting a bit much.
I am heading home after a long road trip going to and coming back from the Mega in Dunedin. This cache was right on my way, so I just had to stop. TFTC.
Armed with jandals and a chilly bin, a couple of Aussies headed across the ditch for a 3-week tiki tour, exploring the beauty of New Zealand.DAY 18: Christchurch, via Timaru, Ashburton and a rather special windmill. Thanks for showing us this special place by placing this cache, Coconuts3 tn koe~~
Day #14 Lake Tekapo to Christchurch - The Mega New Zealand ExperienceA chance for an overseas Mega was too good to pass up. Especially with half the state seeming to be attending also. I set about some last minute planning. Flights still available Accommodation found Mode of transport securedLooks like its time to cross the ditch. Ive never visited the South Island before so it is bound to be a fun filled trip. The final full day in NZ. After leaving the beautiful lake I wound my way back to Christchurch, stopping many times along the way.I picked this geoart as it was one of the smallest which gave me a chance of solving it before I left given I had limited time. I only made it half way through, so some late nights during the trip and some homework got me over the line. A big thanks goes to Coconuts3 for taking the time to add Windmill # 15 Cijfers to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! The fun just never stops.Have you logged your will attend for Victoria's first ever Block Party? (Think Mega but even more special!)Join us on 22-23 March 2025 in Sunbury to celebrate 25 years of geocaching by logging your will attend at [**GCAP417**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).
Heading south with rattll to Dunedin for GeoToroa. We spent last night at Leeston, headed to Oamaru tonight. In between, geoart to find and penguin adlabs, plus anything else that piques our interest. The first order of the day was to complete as much of the Windmill geoart as we could. We did miss a few, one because of an Environment Canterbury vehicle parked next to GZ, others because we chose not to stop a large van there. But mostly quick finds, in good condition. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
Having spent the night at the lake domain, it's now time to hit the road again, but first we want to grab some of the mysteries we'd solved in preparation for this trip.We didn't get all of this series as some had muggle issues or were just not suitable for parking a campervan. Thanks for setting this series up
Down in Christchurch for an extra long long weekend, staying with That Darn Bear. I have a lot of solved puzzles - 800 of them, just in the South Island, and one of my aims was to nuke some of that list. Sometimes the bear came along, other times she wanted to solve them herself and would rather find them afterwards. I respect that.So I am here on my own. When I came out I thought i had the whole series solved. Dammit, I missed two. I guess the favourite for completing the geoart will have to wait till my next trip here.
A nice day for a bit of a drive. SOlved at publication and nice to finally sign it off. Nice quiet spot too. Thanks.
I had a big feed of plump juicy blackberries after signing this off - yum! A school bus flew by while I was there - thank goodness I'll be off these roads while they are making their way around. TFTC # 20,928
Really enjoyed doing this series of puzzles. Had a pleasant mild day to drive around and find 21caches, peaceful countryside with very little traffic around. Had a lovely day! TFTC and the nice day.
Enjoyed solving these puzzles earlier in the year (maybe my Dutch heritage showing through). Had a lovely day for nipping in and out of the back roads collecting the caches today. All nicely hidden and quickly found. Thanks.
No.13 and i enjoyed solving the series between us but came to chch separately. Some puzzles easier than others. Found on a lovely quiet sunny day. Tftc and series
What a great day out and about in the area caching, most of the day was fine untill a heavy rain shower for about 30min, Many Thanaks to all the cache placers. - Bitsprayer
Early early morning (well late maybe, haven't been to sleep - but it's after midnight) for todays mystery dot day. A quick find at GZ which was good cos I'm getting a little sleepy, and still an hour away from home... Good once I was driving again though, I perked up as usual. Another one of the series completed. TFTC Coconuts3, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 1 today, making this find #4537
FINALLY, and with humble apologies for being so late, I am catching up on my logging.Another Skindo hide.I enjoyed solving the puzzles and apologise for the generic logs as often there was only a few minutes between finding one cache and arriving at the next -noting enough to make any extra notes as I was the navigator.Day 1 of The North Islanders in Canterbury tour with Liss Crew. We are targeting specific caches -oldies, and puzzles. Of course, there will be lots of laughter.During our time here, all found caches were signed as NZL, regardless of whether either of us has found it previously, or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Coconuts3.
I'm down in the South Island for 6 days on a mostly puzzle finding trip with NZ_B. Her flight was due an hour after mine so I did a few caches around the airport while I waited. Once she arrived and after quite a few hic ups we managed to pick up our rental car. We then headed out here to collect this geoart on our way to Oamaru. I'd been told about these puzzles soon after they were published and got into solving them straight away. I tried a tool for this puzzle but was disappointed as it gave me an obviously wrong solution. I then did it the longer way and got the correct co-ords. Another quick find today. Thanks for the time to set up the puzzles and hides in this geoart series
Today was the day I will be tolting at windmills, even though the windmills are imaginary the enemy caches were real enough and had to dealt with by taking a pen to them. That's enough of Don Quixote.Well, that's a change, sort of.Cheers for the cache, Coconuts3.
By coincidence most of these I solved while pulling an almost overnighter watching the Black Caps playing The Netherlands in the World Cup. I probably shouldnt have sorted them into difficulty and solved them in that order. By 3 am I was starting to struggle and had to leave the last couple until after some sleep. A beautiful day to be out finding them today, all of them except one where very quick finds. Thanks for a fun trail Coconuts3#14789
A nice easy find on a hot and windy day out. Thank you for the work that went into the cache and the puzzle. TFTH And the farmer mentioned this one also.
We zoomed through. TFTC!
#23061. Another quick grab here. Right, time to turn the corner and head back towards the lake. TFTC.
I had solved all the puzzles in the Windmill geoart on the day they were published, so it was about time StreetWalkerNZ and I turned them into smilies. After a period of dry weather, today seemed as good a time as any to go for a drive.SW ducked out of the car to find this one, while I stayed in the car. As we were parked side on to the norwester, I could feel the car being buffeted by the wind. TFTC.
Quickly dashed out this morning to find the cache. Pleased that my local petrol station has a discount day today as I seem to be using a lot of petrol doing the puzzle challenge.
Today is the first of my multicache challenge dot-days for August. It was for that reason that I left the signing of my last six of the Windmill series of mysteries until today. There signing off would give something else to do whilst I'm down in this quarter of the Selwyn District visiting the Lakeside Soldiers Memorial cache.
My translator of the last number came up with a different number to that of the checker's! So I played with the digits until the checker said, "Yes" TFTC Coconuts3

Another month, another challenge. I don't know if I'll manage the full 28 day streak but I'm keen to see how many days I can get out and find caches this month. This is Streak Day 14. I decided to find a few more of these puzzles this morning. This was the first one I came to. All good here. Cache found in the first place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
Been putting it off for long enough. Having paired up all the glossary a while ago and then last week solving the last windmill today was the day to clean out the glossary and the windmills. Only one dnf in the lot and that is most likely an incorrect glossary pairing by me.
Out with Envy-Us to collect this series. Enjoyed the drive around an area we don't normally see.
A neat series. TFTC

Out for a walk to find a few solved puzzles. This cache was a quick find. TFTC.
Good to see someone ahead of us today, even if it was only virtual. (their log, not a person.) Thanks Coconuts3
A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache. Occaisionally signed MK+KR on some of the caches today, and apologies for the generic logs.
Ms_KR and I are home and today we went for a drive to get enough caches for the Solstice souvenir. We got most of the windmills, but had places to be, and it was getting dark so we will leave the rest for another day.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.

Not sure why I blanked out over solving this puzzle, but then, everything is easier in hindsight
Thanks for hiding this cache Coconuts3 I appreciate it. Mijn Taal is niet good. But I do know the numbers. I was able to work this out in the car when we were parked. ️
I had my own personal translator for this one. No need for Google! Thanks for the puzzle and hide, coconuts3.

Would have found spelling hard at school if these were the words that we needed to learn. However a neat little find and a pattern developing. Looking forward to the others. Thank you M.
Got queried by the local cockie wondering if I was lost. Explained geocaching to him, he left happy. Cheers for the {FTF}.
