Like many others, I've been chasing caches with off-road attributes this month. Yesterday, domsky suggested to me that I should come and get the sailing boat caches with that attribute. So last night I sat down and nutted my way through the necessary puzzles, knowing that Sunday would be a good day to come and look for them. GeoM decided to join me this afternoon and we had a fun afternoon finding caches and exploring the area. Before heading out I checked a few of the challenges and this was one that I did qualify for.Brissy Cat fulfills challenge #4 Bottoms Up - Challenge (GCA9JCY) according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA9JCY/78448After GeoM had checked a few places without finding anything I spied a place where I thought the cache might be hiding. Turned out I was right. GeoM is always a bit disappointed when I make the find but he soon finds a way of cheering himself up. So he challenged himself to jump across the nearby rocks and practiced until he could do it. Thanks chamad for the challenge and the cleverly hidden cache!

Over visiting from NZ and using the time to do as much caching as other commitments allow. Today I had teamed up with GEM_54 to try and knock off as many of the sailboat series as possible.I'm certainly glad we chose a Sunday to do these ones, as the area was almost deserted and so parking near GZ's was never a problem, but I can imagine how busy it would be on a week day, with lots of workers and heavy traffic. On a roll now. Getting used to the CO's hides and managing nice quick finds and no dnf's yet. Let's hope this continues. Qualifying note logged earlier. TFTC

We arrived in Brisbane from down south today and are looking forward to doing some caches in warmer weather. For this trip we are predominately looking for Adventure Labs, Earth caches and Virtual's as we have no muggle problems with them and a few other selected caches. We really enjoy challenge caches, it's great when you succeed and can meet the challenge and it gives you something to aim for when you can't.We targeted this series with ones we met the criteria and had a great time locating all the different hides. Many thanks chamad for setting up this great series, our proof is below.Team Crackers fulfils challenge #4 Bottoms Up - Challenge (GCA9JCY), according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA9JCY/78448
Having dropped a family member off at the airport, I figured I may as well do some caching while in the area. Plus being a Sunday guaranteed that the area would be deserted. Currently, I dont meet the necessary requirements to log as a find, but hopefully in the not too distant future Ill be converting this note into a

7/7/2024 Find #7074Pprime had suggested a few weeks ago the idea of us working on the sailboat puzzle caches out this way. So, as it was holiday time, I figured I could put a little of the grey matter to work and see what I could come up with. And between us we did pretty darned well, I will say. So it was decided that today he and T4mmmy would collect me and we would take a trip over here to claim everything we could, getting me out and about for the last day of my break, before the rude return to work tomorrow. I saw the hide as soon as we rolled up and made a quick retrieval. 1MinnieMoo fulfills challenge #4 Bottoms Up - Challenge (GCA9JCY) according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA9JCY/78448Thanks for the cache chamad.

Solved the puzzle back in Melbourne and the find was quick but soggy underfoot. Thanks for a challenge that I qualify for, and a great mornings adventures.
Im slowly working on the Little Sailing Boat geoart, and this weekend I had the chance to be staying in Brisbane and so made time to find a couple of the caches that I had targeted specifically. This was one.As GZ, because of the recent rains, I was happy to see that there was somewhere to perch to avoid very wet feet. The cache was found quickly, as I spotted something, and the interesting attachment and container were quickly at hand. Thanks, chamad, for another good cache. Appreciate the humor of the cache hide. Spent many years in the health sector and enjoyed the candor of up and coming proctologists warning me of what would happen to me if I didn't build what they wanted. The big hands and hairy knuckles of these 'specialists' usually was enough to keep me focused on the job in hand. The cache hide here gave me flashbacks of those threats. In a similar vain, I've found finding multis provides a similar pain to what proctologists can deliver. Multi challenges enhance / magnifies this pain. But in fairness being eligible for this challenge as the fine print says below, I'm happy no more work is required, thanks chamad and a FP for the painless examination.TeamARF has used Project-GC Challenge Checker to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.176 dates of 30 completed. I had no idea if I would qualify for this one. I do enjoy a good multi, so I knew I had completed plenty, but would they be spread out enough. Well after 10 year and 14000 finds that was very big yes.
I am very excited that we dont qualify for every challenge because otherwise we would be the parents on Christmas morning watching everyone opening presents that you know all about. Sometimes you want to be the red-headed step child hoping for approval from your step parent.Having said that you also want to know that you are capable of something and want some sort of validation. I was always seeking validation from my own mum and so when she would repeatedly tell me that she wished I was as good as my brothers and sister, thats all I had to cling to. Clearly being the oldest does not guarantee you favouritism.I have three kids and the accepted norm would be to not pick a favourite. I always tell my kids who my favourite is and it is always the last one that brings me a beer. Its always good to watch them fight tooth and nail to be the one quickest to the fridge. It was surprisingly good to know we had somehow qualified for one sailboat challenge because for most of the others we are miles away from. Its good to have some future goals to look forward to, like the first time my mum says she is proud of me. Who am I kidding? That will never happen. tftc

Today KerriMG, Nikid1 and i had hatched a plan to find some off road caches for the November challenge by georode. I love multis so was not surprised that i qualified for this challenge. At GZ it we soon spotted the cache. Thanks chamad for all the fun
Over the last week IolantheK and me have looking out towards the bay at a little sailing boat with no smilies We decided to try and light it up (well mostly, a few challenges have remained dark )Some were easy, whilst others weren't so much harder but took a while to decode, whilst others required one to get into the mind of the CO In the end I think we managed to solve all but three without assistance (Me thinks some puzzling may require a psychiatry degree, as IolantheK says "purple because aliens" )So with that done we headed out over the last weekend and found and signed a great variety of caches!!Finally one we both qualify for and loved the camo too *Well done chamad TFTCs* A fav point for this one

A team up with Gunnie69 today to tackle this geoart. He had them solved, and some of the challenges we both were able to qualify for. So today we made a team effort to make the finds here. We started up top and worked our way down. Some were tricky, like working out on site puzzles, and some were easy straightforward finds - but hey that is all part of the fun of making a find. On arrival I double checked if I qualified for this one, and indeed I did with the big green tick! We spotted a few spots and I suggested Gunnie looked there and sure enough it was. TFTC
Every now and again, you come across something that you have not come across in the hiding of a cache. Today, it was the 'attachment' to the container here at GZ. Never seen this before but it's a very useful device indeed. The cache was quickly located and names added to the log. The checker was satisfied and gave me the green tick of approval, so logging this as a find accordingly. With all the puzzles solved at home where I could and the challenges checked for qualification, I teamed up with NurseyJulie this morning to pick up what we could. Heading to the furthest point to start, then working our way back toward the big smoke, we managed to get almost every cache on the list, despite spending a chunk of time sorting the multi and unknown caches out at the boat ramp. I was sad to see the multi over there once we had the final cords. Thanks for the variety and some interesting hides Chamad, we had a great morning hunting icons. Day 3 of MegaGOM boating and tree fishing expedition with **bella at waggy**, **Baktrak**, **Purplepeopleater** and an anonymous local.
After 2 days on the water, it was time to remain on terra firma. But we still caught some fish, and for some, it was a big slog up a steep hill. Towards the end of the day, it was a mad dash mopping up around the airport and still managing to get through security on time.
Enjoyed all the caches and the company was reasonable as well.

On a quick trip North with a few Sydney mates and a colourful local for a few days on the water, in the mud and up the hills, running around grabbing some beaut caches. Grabbed this in between kid drop off and a hair cut.
Had a bit of trouble getting to the log. I thought I had to do something different but I got there in the end thanks to my little girly hands.
The checker says yes to this one for nikid1.
Did you know that my dad had a fairy penguin “yacht” it was about 10 foot long and fitted on our trailer. Then we upgraded to an Ultimate 16foot trailer sailer. It was bright yellow. I’ll try and find a photo of my young sailing days.
I love nothing more than being on the water.

On a short break from work today I jumped in the geowagon and headed out to pick up a few recently placed caches in this new piece of geoart close to home.
On arrival a safe place to park the car was found and after a short walk, I soon laid my hands on the cache and made my mark on the log before safely returning the cache back in its hides hole.
Quick walk back to the car and I was quickly off to grab another in the series.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this series available for fellow cachers to find.

Cheers

Project GC allowed me this one with 222/30 dates and 161/60 different months. Mum used to say bottoms up when she gave me terrible cough mixture but there was always a lolly after. Very quiet around the area today, just a few trucks. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks chamad. All good with this cache and challenge. A favourite from me.

Who would have thought we qualify for this challenge, as we are not particularly keen on multis, but we did already qualify, with 59 dates of 30 completed ad 64 different months out of 60. We raced over here to log the cache before the end of July so it counts towards Challenging July Challenge. Thanks for the challenge and a nice hide.
Yippee I qualify for this challenge.

An early morning caching trip! Log signed, will need to check if I qualify. Thanks chamad
I have signed the log. I will have to check to see whether I qualify. Thanks for the challenge chamad
Beardman75 and I are on our way to Caboolture for an event… but there was time to make a couple of finds before jumping back onto the Gateway…
The log was signed, but thanks to another of the COs challenges it might take me awhile to confirm that I actually qualify… or not…
Thanks chamad

Nice hide. Will see if I qualify for this one at a later date. It should fit in with another Multi challenge I am working on. Time will tell.
