So excited , finally got a sighting of a King Parrot. Even better he came down and sat on my shoulder! We
Found it but was quickly reminded its my cousin's that can climb tree's, not me, silly Wombat. Will be back with the appropriate tool, or maybe my cousin Kevin Koala.......
Wow what a great cache Lohmeyerplus5, and such fun to find. Buddy the geodog helped us with this one. Found on May 1, 2024. # 9021Worthy of a favourite point.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 3 - Moulamein to Werrimul via Balranald, Robinvale and Gol Gol. After a great night at the pub with a fun band, I had a great night sleep before heading off. Typical outback NSW, no bakery's open, so I saved some money there. I started caching in Robinvale, and with all the effort for the puzzles, it was a very short return. Plenty of DNFs. I decided to bypass central Mildura and went around the Silver city highway for a few caches before heading to my nights stop at Werrimul. I first came here with Ballooning in about 2007, so I like to visit occasionally. Only a few blokes playing pool.I managed to get within 50m of this one before I decided to walk. I might have made it further if there was not as much traffic about. I saw the host container quickly and managed to hook it and get it down. mmm, no log. It was on the ground. All put back in one piece. Enough for me for one day. Thanks for the cache Lohmeyerplus546389.10 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & EarthCache 10th Birthday A#289**Albida**
Terrible how long it's taken us to get out here to log this cache going it's pretty much on our door step. We visited a few months earlier to assess the TOTT that would be required but just never got back to it. We traded in our traditional Friday night movie night for a cache find and some fun exploring along the river bank. Collected some discarded bottles & cans, found a tent peg, a sinker, 4x D shackles and evidence of an old campfire which led to some charcoal fun. TFTC
Staying in Mildura whilst having our airconditioner replaced. AirCon all fixed but alas Mrs F ended up with an infection and being flown to Melbourne. All better now (hopefully) and so a days caching finally on the agenda.Picnic lunch by the Murray and 20smilies for the day. Happy Valentines Day. Enjoy these types of caches.TFTC Lohmeyerplus5 [^]
Found by Mary and David at 15:15. Our last day on the Yorke, after three days with a Victorian group doing Geoart caches. On our own today, so we decided to finish off the Ad Labs and pick up some other caches along the way, before returning to the Ardrossan CP. We'd heard about this one so put it on our list as we headed from SA to Mildura and now we can cross it off the list. Easy to get down, but harder to put back. Most enjoyable though, so a FP added. There must have been a lot of rain, as the tracks were muddy with many pools of water. Our thanks to Lohmeyerplus5.
I'm traveling across to South Australia with micaparamedic to try our luck at a few of the series over there .We were also stopping for caches neither of us had found along the way.We have been chasing the TDOC caches and planned our route to Gawler via Mildura to pick up this cache. The cache was located quickly but it took a little while longer before we could get our names into the log but happily we had the right time so it wasn't an issue. We returned everything as it was before heading off again many thanks for Lohmeyerplus5 for the cache and showing us the area
After doing this cache with kbucky, I came to the conclusion that this is definitely not a T2. We wandered, or was that waded down to gz after the heavy rain. The cache was quickly spotted but retrieval was a bit more difficult. We quickly signed the log and that is where things got tricky. Putting the cache back was another thing. Lots of attempts and laughter ensued and we managed to place the cache back where it belonged. our real TOTT for the day was our umbrellas although we still managed to be soaked, especially our feet. A favourite for the cute container and our effort to retrieve and return the cache to its hide
after doing several types of these caches recently though this would be a breeze - but uh no! King Parrot has been munching on way too many cackers and came down with a thud. log signed and went to replace, one, two, three and four attempts and finally successful King Parrot needs to go on a diet!. Our TOTT should have been gumboots as we waded through puddles to GZ. A fun experience with weirdobiker to enjoy another Cachmemas cache. Well done Lohmeyerplus55
Well my trip up to QOGM started a couple of weeks ago and I took the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there. So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling. So after a couple big days out to Stonehenge, Isisford and Ilfracombe, The Tritonz and Roaming Howie finally joined me and we did the puzzle trail. Then a fun first muster day to Muttaburra and back then a great tea event and a few more caches.A trip to Stonehenge and back again for them. The second muster day and boy what a busy day as there was a lot going on in the car with everything we had to do.Collect trads, look at photos, find some forks and then some property numbers as well. The Mexicans as we were called teamed up with a couple of other cars The Morris and Pool Pool to have a lot of fun over the radio.Well all the caches have been found and after another great dinner event QOGM has officially finished. This was my first QOGM and I had a great time, but all good things must come to end and today I must start heading towards home but Im also taking the very long way around back to Victoria. So this was state # 4 for me on this trip.Roaming Howie is joined me on part of the Strzelecki track and left me at Camerons Corner.I continued on down the track and and eventually reached the black stuff again and stayed at Copley then Wentworth. The question for the day is will I reach Melbourne or make my holiday last one more night.Riverland and a TDOC cache was the reason I came back this way.I was able to park right near the cache and with the right TOTT on board I was able to coax it off its perch.A fav goes out to you for this one. Thanks Lohmeyerplus5 TFTC.
Day 26. A last minute plan had been hatched to make my by way to QOGM. Very little planning had been done but a very rough outline was in place and it was going to be a day by day trip. After making it all the way to Broken Hill last night its time to snake my way across a few borders and back into Victoria.I was late into Mildura and had to tackle this one in the dark. Fortunately there were no campers nearby and so with the TOTT in one hand and torch in the other I managed to located and retrieve the weight challenged parrot. Returning it to its tight spot proved more challenging and that took some time, not helped by being in the dark.Eventually it was returned and I was able to move on. Thanks for participating in the Cachemas festivities. Thanks Lohmeyerplus5 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you planning a trip to Victoria? After an early morning Event in Mildura we set out to claim some enjoyable nearby caches. We were up for a drive to Wentworth and discovered this TDOC23 cache not too far away. After a short walk from our parking spot we enjoyed the challenge to locate the cache. Thank you for the cache.
With a huge portion of the Victorian caching community enjoying their pilgrimage north to Longreach, chook(nchunk) and I decided to plan our own little mini-adventure, targetting adlabs, solved puzzles, faves, TDOCs and anything else that piques our interest along the way. Day Two: Jerilderie, Swan Hill, Mildura, Merbein.Yesterday, when we were merging the contents of two vehicles into one, we discussed whether wed need this TOTT or not. Yes, no, yes, no. Ahhh, it doesnt take up much room, so may as well throw it in.Being one of our main targets, thank goodness we did!!Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Lohmeyerplus5 ~~
Day 2 of Chook and OzHockeyChick's "QOGM-consolation" roadtrip, targeting caches in three states over four days of fun, friendship, laughter and adventure. This was one we had targeted and luckily had packed the right TOTT in the car. In hindsight, we maybe should have reinforced the top part of the TOTT but it handled the weight perfectly and just added to the fun. TFTC Lohmeyerplus5.

Approaching town late in the afternoon, we decided to look at this cache….looks like it needs something we don’t have…eek. A detour to Bunnings and we found some suitable equipment and of course gaffer tape!! Out to GZ and we spotted the excellently themed cache. We got to stringing (or taping) things together and had huge success. Thanks for bringing us here today , it is a pretty spot and as we have seen throughout the day today, the river is magnificent. A favourite from us.
Thanks for placing the cache Lohmeyerplus5. Happy Cachemas.

Found with nannynomad, MazzyMay and Joybell53 and logged as DYLZ for short (the last letters of our caching names.) I have been targetting the TDOC23 caches so had to find this one while in the area. We drove to the parking spot then made our way on foot to the cache, there are a lot of tracks to choose from. I spotted the cache straight away then waited for the others to spot it before making the retrieve with my TOTT, a little tricky to retrieve but not too bad. Admired the cache and signed the log, then found it was quite a bit more tricky to replace. Got there eventually. TFTC
We came out late this afternoon to see if we could spy this geocache and what TOTT we may need. A quick trip home and we were back for the retrieval. A great geocache! Put a smile on our faces when we found it! Well created! {FTF} @6:35pm. Happy Cachemas in July!
