2761 - I headed out to grab a few of the Sailing Boat Geoart series that I had managed to solve this afternoon, as Sunday is definitely the best day of the week to move around this area. This is the first of the series I grabbed this afternoon at 2:13pm. All was good here, so it was a quick entry in the log, and I was on my way to the next one in the series. Thanks for placing this one here and of course for the great geoart series chamad.

Usual Sunday afternoon ritual, dropped son number one over at his mates place at Wynnum, and had nearly three hours to tick off a few caches. This week, i decided to head across the gateway to the northern side, and picked up a couple of caches around Pinkenba. After signing a couple of log books for challenges that are still far from achieved, I drove to the stipulated coordinates and identified the 5 digit number. After some quick calculations, it was back to the car and off for a drive to the hide. Pretty sure i would have passed a couple of other caches on the way, but a multi today was the priority. When i finally got to GZ, the cache container was quickly found and my name was added. Signed as AWT? and I was on my way again. Thanks very much for this cache and this series Chamad. What a great afternoon. First of a few by the looks. Cheers

21-Sep-24
Hmmm, yes. Well it helps to pay attention to details, and I didn't. After going past here, I made my way back to where I needed to be, found the required information and did the calculations. The cache was found quickly thereafter. Found at 12:49pm during my long chamad cache day. I had set my goal as finding as many caches in this series as time allowed, before heading back to the Sunny Coast to watch the Brisbane Lions play in the Preliminary Final. Good day of finds with lots of different cache containers, sizes, and hides. A beautiful day for it too. Thanks, chamad, for this fun multi.

03-Sep-24
Nice. We do like a short multi especially when it all works out well first go. Cache was a quick find. All good and dry here. Thank you.

25-Aug-24
Over visiting from NZ and using the time to do as much caching as other commitments allow. Today I had teamed up with GEM_54 to try and knock off as many of the sailboat series as possible.I'm certainly glad we chose a Sunday to do these ones, as the area was almost deserted and so parking near GZ's was never a problem, but I can imagine how busy it would be on a week day, with lots of workers and heavy traffic.A nice quick calculation here of the final FZ and then once there, Jackie dived in for a quick find. TFTC

Out and about with Peter Ob8 Ob8 from N.Z. we are all going great at finding smiles today. We worked things out as a team and headed out for our smile . Gotcha.. TFTC

24-Aug-24
I planned a day trip from Toowoomba to find a few selected caches only and go to an event. Big GrinA couple of the caches filled in D/T grid spots, others were because I completed the challenge cache criteria, or a unique cache like this one. CoolAfter attending an event I headed out this way to find a couple more of the Sailboat geoart caches. SmileAfter completing step 1 I quickly headed to GZ and soon spotted the cache, signed the log book and returned the cache to its hiding location. Big GrinThanks for the cache.

Having dropped a family member off at the airport, I figured I may as well do some caching while in the area. Plus being a Sunday guaranteed that the area would be deserted. Great little multi. GCA9ZRY #16 - ShipShapeNeeded a multi for a challenge so I slipped out here on my lunch break. Numbers were quickly crunched at the reference point. A quick trip to GZ where the cache was quickly found. This was a different type of hide for this type of location. TFTC chamad

7/7/2024 Find #7084Pprime had suggested a few weeks ago the idea of us working on the sailboat puzzle caches out this way. So, as it was holiday time, I figured I could put a little of the grey matter to work and see what I could come up with. And between us we did pretty darned well, I will say. So it was decided that today he and T4mmmy would collect me and we would take a trip over here to claim everything we could, getting me out and about for the last day of my break, before the rude return to work tomorrow. A quick find at GZ. Thanks for the cache chamad.

12-May-24
Accio 15:14:34A quick run out this arvo with T4mmmy and Suki-hound - moreso for a leg stretch, but also seeking decent sized caches to leave some well travelled trackables in. Not having ventured into the puzzles of this series yet - but this one was doable on the fly. No TBs left here, but zero issues sorting the GZ destination out and the short drive over there. Thanks chamad for entertaining me at this location.Cool *{Overall find #12518}* Cool

I'm taking a cruise circumnavigating Aust in a few months time starting and finishing in Sydney. As it's been decades since I've visited this spot, thought I'd take a drive and have a look at the new cruise terminal. Still deciding if I bother getting off the ship and seeing its close proximity to Luggage Point, drinking the day away on board the ship seems the logical thing to do.In fact the last time I came to this exact spot was in high school with a few mates, a few beers and a fishing rod. The natural Luggage Point berley trail bought in plenty of fish which were later sold on to a local fish n' chip shop. Which gets me to this cache's title, try saying shipshape quickly 5 times with the pee and tee become interchangeable. To bring this cyclic conversation to a head, the berley trail had the full spectrum of 7 poop types / shapes according to the Bristol poop chart. Admittedly it was hard to discern Types 5 to 7 - Mr Hankies. Now this is probably a good segway for a cache puzzle, thanks chamad for the idea generator.

Thanks for the series chamad and arranging this hide. We're enjoying the variety. Good hide fav point alloc

I had an afternoon free today so headed over to find a few more of Chamad's Sailboat Art. After the downpours almost all day yesterday, today was a lovely fine day and remarkably quiet for such an industrial area. Another quick and easy find here today. Thanks for find #5288TNLN

20-Dec-23
Nearly forgot to check this one out. Not too far back at least. This is my idea of a nice multi. [^] In fact, you can even have a favourite point for it.

17-Dec-23
Yesterday we had only found three drive by caches and the heat was so bad it dehydrated us more than a prune. Today our cunning plan was to get up early and try and find a few before our deodorant started fighting a losing battle. We drove out as far as we could wondering why this stretch of road was so busy, so early in the morning. At least we finally found where the new cruise ship terminal is located and the reason for all the activity. We actually started up the road and were muggled out on a challenge we dont even qualify for and I was filthy. I shouldnt have been because its not like the cache was going anywhere and it was going to take us some time to qualify. I was just shirty someone had parked near the hide for free instead of using the perfectly good paid parking on site.We sat in the car aircon and crunched the numbers before taking the handbrake off and rolling to GZ. tftc

A nice quick find here today. You dont see these containers around much these days. TFTC

Out for a short time today to collect some of this geoart while the area is not busy. I collected 7 smileys in between the small showers. Very tricky Chamad making me backtrack to that sign again! TFTC

25-Nov-23
With an appointment in the morning and a concert at night, there was plenty of time for some caching in the middle. We made this geoart our main target for the day having stayed up until all hours of the morning solving the puzzles. While JDavs was distracted by the fluffy chickens I took care of the numbers and the hide.Tftc chamadFind #4837

This morning sees me heading back to the airport for the 3rd time in under a day to collect some colleagues travelling in for a conference. Of course I decided to depart early, knowing I had plenty of caches to keep me occupied until they arrived.Continuing on here for a few extra smilies, this multi seemed like a fairly straight forward exercise, I was able to get the right info after initially using the wrong pole, then made a quick find. TFTC.

14-Nov-23
Oops! Probably should have read the cache page properly before attempting this cache. I started by pulling up at the posted coords. Not seeing any power pole I read the cache page again. Doh! Wrong place and I had just driven past the reference point. Oh well, back I go. Pulling up at the WP I noticed a very likely cachey hidey hole. Hmmm. I mathed the math and sure enough, I was spot on with my guess. Heading to GZ the beasty was in hand quickly. Thanks for the multicache chamad Big Grin

11-Nov-23
Over the last week IolantheK and me have looking out towards the bay at a little sailing boat with no smilies We decided to try and light it up (well mostly, a few challenges have remained dark )Some were easy, whilst others weren't so much harder but took a while to decode, whilst others required one to get into the mind of the CO In the end I think we managed to solve all but three without assistance (Me thinks some puzzling may require a psychiatry degree, as IolantheK says "purple because aliens" )So with that done we headed out over the last weekend and found and signed a great variety of caches!!*Well done chamad TFTCs* A fav point for this one

11-Nov-23
T-Tech and I spent some time over the last couple of days to get this My Little Sailing Boat Geoart series sorted, and today we had a few hours to make some of them smileys Big GrinWe were able to solve this one at home, so we headed straight to GZ. TFTC, chamad.

15-Oct-23
Working at the Bridge to Brisbane this morning but arrived for work a little early so decided to fill my time with some caching in the area before work. I have been solving these over the last few weeks and am proud to say I only needed a couple of nudges here and there. Did the sums at the posted cords and made my back to a location I had been at earlier today. Quick find at GZ. TFTC

12-Oct-23
Last time through I missed this one probably because I was just looking at the puzzles. Did the maths, came up with some numbers the checker liked first up and then off to HZ and made a quick find. We completed the signing duties and headed for the plane. TFTC

I am slowly filling my calendar with multis and today i needed one so i headed here and gathered the info and i liked the location of the final, very good and sturdy cache. Thanks chamad for this multi so that i can get closer to your challenge.

30-Sep-23
A team up with Gunnie69 today to tackle this geoart. He had them solved, and some of the challenges we both were able to qualify for. So today we made a team effort to make the finds here. We started up top and worked our way down. Some were tricky, like working out on site puzzles, and some were easy straightforward finds - but hey that is all part of the fun of making a find. Another find in another similiar spot to our previous find. Out I got of the car, and straight to it. TFTC

30-Sep-23
Ship shape indeed, that's exactly how NurseyJulie and I found the cache this morning. Big Grin I had the final coords sorted before heading out today, so it was a quick visit to GZ to track down the cache and add our names to the log. Big GrinWith all the puzzles solved at home where I could and the challenges checked for qualification, I teamed up with NurseyJulie this morning to pick up what we could. Heading to the furthest point to start, then working our way back toward the big smoke, we managed to get almost every cache on the list, despite spending a chunk of time sorting the multi and unknown caches out at the boat ramp. Red Face I was sad to see the multi over there once we had the final cords. SadThanks for the variety and some interesting hides Chamad, we had a great morning hunting icons. Smile

24-Sep-23
I came out to the Pinkenba area, on this quiet Sunday morning, to sign some challenge caches and find some of this series that I managed to solve - more than I would have thought possible - some easy and others very hard.I had enough time to do one of the field puzzles, so chose this one. I initially went to the posted co-ordinates but soon realised that was not where I was supposed to be. Not long later, I was at the pole, noting numbers and doing some calculations. The cache was soon found, signed and replaced. Tftc

20-Sep-23
I needed a multi today due to someone creating a challenge that requires quite a few of them and this one looked to be the perfect choice. Parking just near GZ, I gathered the required information, performed the necessary mathematics and smiled at the result. Once at the new GZ, the cache was quickly found. Thanks chamad

Out finding a few caches with Dora the Explorer! The sailboat geoart was our target for the day. All caches, except one, were quickly located and the logs signed. We enjoyed this series with its variety of puzzles, D/Ts, containers and hides. Thanks, chamad, for the effort involved in this geoart for the enjoyment of all cachers.....and TFTC.

Down in SEQ for a few days to celebrate the life of a caching ambassador and a great friend Karicka. It’s more than likely he’d found this one.

No issues here. Thanks chamad for adding to my day.

Today's geocaching adventure took me to a most extraordinary place: a heavy industrial area perched alongside the majestic river. What made this expedition truly unique was the fusion of mystery, multi, letterbox, and challenge caches, each ingeniously hidden amidst the gritty industrial landscape.

This power trail was unlike any other, not just because of its diversity but also the added thrill of tree climbs, tree fishing, and exceptional camouflage. It was an adventure lover's paradise!

The relentless buzz of machinery contrasted beautifully with the soothing flow of the nearby river, setting the stage for an unforgettable day of geocaching. As I navigated through the labyrinthine structures, I felt like an urban explorer on a quest for hidden treasures.

Tree climbs and tree fishing were the name of the game in this power trail. Each cache brought its unique challenge - from scaling heights to reaching seemingly impossible places. The adrenaline rush with each find was exhilarating!

Camouflage took on a whole new meaning as these caches were expertly hidden in plain sight, blending seamlessly with their industrial surroundings. It took a keen eye and a patient hand to reveal them.

The logbooks within these caches told tales of fellow adventurers who had dared to tackle this extraordinary trail. I proudly added my geocaching username, the date, and a heartfelt message of gratitude in each logbook.

This power trail was a testament to the ingenuity of the cache owners, who turned an industrial landscape into a geocacher's playground. To them, I extend my utmost appreciation.

As I conclude this epic geocaching journey, I am left with memories of exhilarating climbs, unexpected finds, and the undeniable thrill of urban exploration. Until the next adventure, may your caches be as creative as this one!

On a short break from work today I jumped in the geowagon and headed out to pick up a few recently placed caches in this new piece of geoart close to home.

On arrival a safe place to park the car was found and after a short walk, I soon laid my hands on the cache and made my mark on the log before safely returning the cache back in its hides hole.

Quick walk back to the car and I was quickly off to grab another in the series.

A big thanks to the cache owner for making this series available for fellow cachers to find.

Cheers

Thanks chamad ??

Congratulations on sharing your sailboat with the community… it’s appreciated… ??

I had settled down over dinner, hoping to watch the cricket, when I noticed my inbox had been smashed with notifications for this series. I was feeling lazy and opted not to head out chasing them, but instead stayed up late, cheering every Aussie ashes run and Pommy wicket and solved most of the puzzles.

I had managed to solve this multi virtually.

After a lazy breakfast, I headed out with the intention of snaffling up as many of the first to finds that were still available.

With all the available FTF's now claimed, my next aim was to collect as many of the remainder of the series as possible on my way home. Muggles forced me to drive past one - Land Ho! - Challenge! and this was next on the list. A nice quick find here.

Many thanks Chamad
