We had a great day out in Pinkenba, exploring some of the quieter roads and today they were definitely quiet. The only busy road was the one from the Brisbane cruising wharf, which seem to have a steady line of traffic. Maybe the big P&O liner had just pulled in? It was docked when we had arrived in the area earlier today. Thanks chamad for the series, the Geo art and the puzzles. Domsky
Headed out with a couple of my best geo buddies whom live local who graciously have their time to transport me around the sailboat series.Smooth sailing for a SundayThanks CHAMAD for creating, placing and maintaining for our enjoyment.
working our way through the sailboatjust two left to solve now and then a couple of challengers to work oni always end up with two ... found the last one another well hidden hide
2766 - I headed out to grab a few of the Sailing Boat Geoart series that I had managed to solve this afternoon, as Sunday is definitely the best day of the week to move around this area. This is the sixth of seven I grabbed this afternoon, with my note being made on the log sheet at 2:36pm. Thanks for placing this one here and of course for the great geoart series chamad.
Great Spring Sunday afternoon around Pinkenba with the dog (quite often the best 'cover' you can have now that the kids have grown up a bit). Driving around picking up a few of the puzzles that i had solved over the past year. From when i parked the car i knew where this cache would be. All is good with the log book and I signed and secreted it back away in its hidey hole. Thanks very much for the cache and the series chamad. Cheers
Nice easy puzzle to do without too much thought, unlike a couple of other puzzles in this series. This was my last find before lunch, and nice and easy find too. So far I've found about 13 or 14 caches today, I can't quite remember how many. It's all a happy blur. Lunch at the nearby Trade Coast Pub was surprisingly delicious and a lot more modern than I had expected. Thanks, chamad, for another Yellow Smiley.
Over visiting from NZ and using the time to do as much caching as other commitments allow. Today I had teamed up with GEM_54 to try and knock off as many of the sailboat series as possible.I'm certainly glad we chose a Sunday to do these ones, as the area was almost deserted and so parking near GZ's was never a problem, but I can imagine how busy it would be on a week day, with lots of workers and heavy traffic. On a roll now. Getting used to the CO's hides and managing nice quick finds and no dnf's yet. Let's hope this continues. TFTC
GCA9ZTA #21 Rock the BoatAfter finishing work decided to go grab some of these solved puzzles. Went to sign this one and saw my name already in it. Seems my book keeping is letting me down. Paperwork now up to date. TFTC chamad
7/7/2024 Find #7075Pprime had suggested a few weeks ago the idea of us working on the sailboat puzzle caches out this way. So, as it was holiday time, I figured I could put a little of the grey matter to work and see what I could come up with. And between us we did pretty darned well, I will say. So it was decided that today he and T4mmmy would collect me and we would take a trip over here to claim everything we could, getting me out and about for the last day of my break, before the rude return to work tomorrow. Cache was quickly found in the likely spot. Thanks for the cache chamad.
Accio 11:57:12A lovely day out 'sailing' with T4mmmy and 1MinnimooThanks chamad for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12565}*
#21 Rock the BoatWith rain originally forecast today I didn't make plans, but as the sun was shining I jumped in the car with geopup to collect some of the sail boat.A collection of great puzzles which were fun to solve.A quick find here, log signed, all replaced as found. Out and about caching with joojoo57 and Endeavour 3 around the Airport/Brisbane River area. Arrived at GZ and found cache. TFTC
Out and about for our second day of caching on the northside and today's area was over near the airport. Quite a variety to keep us busy and we were able to keep out of the showers most of the time later in the day. Thanks to all the COs.
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific. There were 3 members of our crew today - joojoo57, Richmond Lad & endeavour3. Now that we are crewed up we set sail in our to voyage to finds on some Little Sailing Boat caches. Logs may have been signed E3 to save space. TFTC Found & logged using Cachly for iOS
Thanks for the series chamad and arranging this hide. Quiet this morning which is great.
Crew 153, Mrs Crew and NobbysNuts hit the road to find a few caches on Leap Day. We had targeted some of the caches in this series.Another one were we had to talk to the nearby tradie who was keeping one eye on us. TFTC chamad
Out with Crew 153 and NobbysNuts to find a few caches on Leap Day. TFTC chamad
Spent a few hours out here collecting caches this morning. Had some trouble with a few due to the recent rain, but Ardom brought his kayak boots and happily sloshed through the puddles A nice variety of caches collected so far. Im looking forward to coming back to collect the rest! TFTPuzzles and caches!
I had an afternoon free today so headed over to find a few more of Chamad's Sailboat Art. After the downpours almost all day yesterday, today was a lovely fine day and remarkably quiet for such an industrial area. Another quick and easy find here today. Thanks for find #5296TNLN
For such a quiet area on a Sunday, we were surprised to see how much yellow paint had been wasted telling people where not to park. Maybe through the week this place is pumping but on a weekend I have seen old people dancing at the RSL with more vigour. Those same old people press the buttons on a pokie with even more vigour.Mrs Woodyrothwell dropped me off whilst she drove down to turn the car around. I cant tell you how nervous I get at times watching her drive my car. Shes been known to lose a fight in her car with a pole that was mathematically impossible to come in contact with.At least she was driving my car with the respect it deserves. Its a caching 4WD that never gets washed so I was amazed to see her driving through every puddle that wasnt even in range to try and clean it. tftc
Found a spot to park that wasnt borded by a yellow line and walked back to GZ where the cache was quickly located. TFTC
Did all my puzzles by hand. Out at the airport today making finds. Able to find with no watchers. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks chamad. All good with this cache and puzzle.
Out and about at 1.30 am finding caches in my work truck again. I only have time for a couple of finds each time because ... I am at work. A quick find here tonight before moving onto the next one. Thanks for the cache.
Out today to make another dent on the little sail boat geoart. I collected 11 smileys on a very quiet Sunday. A weekend is most definitely the best time to be here. TFTC
With an appointment in the morning and a concert at night, there was plenty of time for some caching in the middle. We made this geoart our main target for the day having stayed up until all hours of the morning solving the puzzles.A nice quick find. Thanks chamadFind #4843
Over the last week IolantheK and me have looking out towards the bay at a little sailing boat with no smilies We decided to try and light it up (well mostly, a few challenges have remained dark )Some were easy, whilst others weren't so much harder but took a while to decode, whilst others required one to get into the mind of the CO In the end I think we managed to solve all but three without assistance (Me thinks some puzzling may require a psychiatry degree, as IolantheK says "purple because aliens" )So with that done we headed out over the last weekend and found and signed a great variety of caches!!*Well done chamad TFTCs*
T-Tech and I spent some time over the last couple of days to get this My Little Sailing Boat Geoart series sorted, and today we had a few hours to make some of them smileys I like doing these ones by hand, and the answer soon fell out. GZ is the closest drive-by I've ever done TFTC, chamad.
Cache- While i was riding along i saw a likely hiding spot and my instincts were correct. I actually love these types of hidesPuzzle. This one was a fun one to do on a lunch break at work. Fun day- Today i decided to go for a bike ride from home to find some of this series. I had to ride past a few because one there was a truck parked right at GZ and the Truckee obviously asleep with the curtains drawn. Another someone pulled up in their car right in front of GZ just as i got there and others i rode past that needed either fishing gear or had off road attribute that i need for November . Also i cant get 2 multis in one day . I ended up going 53km in 5 hours and it is a great place to ride on a weekend so i am looking forward to coming back next month. Thanks chamad for all the fun
Tftc Chamad, weekday is probably not the best choice for these as the area is quite busy.Enjoyed the puzzlesNice geo art
Working at the Bridge to Brisbane this morning but arrived for work a little early so decided to fill my time with some caching before work. I have been solving these over the last few weeks and am proud to say I only needed a couple of nudges here and there. This was my first stop for the morning. Quick find and replace. No-one around this early Sunday morning. TFTC
A team up with Gunnie69 today to tackle this geoart. He had them solved, and some of the challenges we both were able to qualify for. So today we made a team effort to make the finds here. We started up top and worked our way down. Some were tricky, like working out on site puzzles, and some were easy straightforward finds - but hey that is all part of the fun of making a find. As we pulled up to the cache, Gunnie was able to make the find whilst I plugged in the next co-ords. TFTC
It was like Pitt Street here this morning and while it was a weekend, there was very limited parking options. Thankfully, GZ was obvious as we drew near so as there was little chance of getting in anyone's way, I pulled up adjacent to the final location and jumped out for a quick find. With all the puzzles solved at home where I could and the challenges checked for qualification, I teamed up with NurseyJulie this morning to pick up what we could. Heading to the furthest point to start, then working our way back toward the big smoke, we managed to get almost every cache on the list, despite spending a chunk of time sorting the multi and unknown caches out at the boat ramp. I was sad to see the multi over there once we had the final cords. Thanks for the variety and some interesting hides Chamad, we had a great morning hunting icons.
I came out to the Pinkenba area, on this quiet Sunday morning, to sign some challenge caches and find some of this series that I managed to solve - more than I would have thought possible - some easy and others very hard. Once I was on the right side of the road, the cache was soon found and log signed. Tftc
Found on a pleasant Spring afternoon while out driving in the area with grandson.I've solved quite a few of these puzzles and intend to come and look for them in short bursts.I'm glad we came on the weekend, I can just imagine how busy it would be during the week with all hustle and bustle from the industries. Even today there were a few huge trucks around.Usually I print this type of puzzle out to complete but luckily I didn't need to and came up with the answer quite quickly. Thanks for the puzzle and cache Chamad
Out finding a few caches with Dora the Explorer! The sailboat geoart was our target for the day. All caches, except one, were quickly located and the logs signed. We enjoyed this series with its variety of puzzles, D/Ts, containers and hides. Thanks, chamad, for the effort involved in this geoart for the enjoyment of all cachers.....and TFTC.
Today's geocaching adventure took me to a most extraordinary place: a heavy industrial area perched alongside the majestic river. What made this expedition truly unique was the fusion of mystery, multi, letterbox, and challenge caches, each ingeniously hidden amidst the gritty industrial landscape.
This power trail was unlike any other, not just because of its diversity but also the added thrill of tree climbs, tree fishing, and exceptional camouflage. It was an adventure lover's paradise!
The relentless buzz of machinery contrasted beautifully with the soothing flow of the nearby river, setting the stage for an unforgettable day of geocaching. As I navigated through the labyrinthine structures, I felt like an urban explorer on a quest for hidden treasures.
Tree climbs and tree fishing were the name of the game in this power trail. Each cache brought its unique challenge - from scaling heights to reaching seemingly impossible places. The adrenaline rush with each find was exhilarating!
Camouflage took on a whole new meaning as these caches were expertly hidden in plain sight, blending seamlessly with their industrial surroundings. It took a keen eye and a patient hand to reveal them.
The logbooks within these caches told tales of fellow adventurers who had dared to tackle this extraordinary trail. I proudly added my geocaching username, the date, and a heartfelt message of gratitude in each logbook.
This power trail was a testament to the ingenuity of the cache owners, who turned an industrial landscape into a geocacher's playground. To them, I extend my utmost appreciation.
As I conclude this epic geocaching journey, I am left with memories of exhilarating climbs, unexpected finds, and the undeniable thrill of urban exploration. Until the next adventure, may your caches be as creative as this one!

#7362Day 3 of MegaGOM boating and tree fishing expedition with **bella at waggy**, **Baktrak**, **Purplepeopleater** and an anonymous local. After 2 days on the water, it was time to remain on terra firma. But we still caught some fish, and for some, it was a big slog up a steep hill. Towards the end of the day, it was a mad dash mopping up around the airport and still managing to get through security on time.Enjoyed all the caches and the company was reasonable as well.TFTC chamad
On a quick trip North with a few Sydney mates and a colourful local for a few days on the water, in the mud and up the hills, running around grabbing some beaut caches. Much joint puzzle-solving and planning paid off. On day 3, we left the water and mud behind in favour of tall trees, steep hills and a final race around the streets near the airport.
We signed with the space-saving catch-all, “megagom”, in memory of previous exploits.
Thanks chamad.

Some plans were hatched with a local and some Sydney Siders for a 3 day quick caching trip which involved getting the boat out, yaks, mud, poles, ladders, trees etc. Plenty of solving was done and routes plotted. The boat, the MV Grumpy lived up to its name with some cantankerous displays and the need for running repairs on serval occasions so our timetable had to be amended on more than one occasion.
Day 3 was planned to be a land day well with a few trees as well.
This was the last leg, how much of the art work can be collected before the flight in a few hours? The answer is most of it.
A number of us have thought we have previously been the victims of caching identity theft by that mysterious mob call the GOM’s. As a result and given it felt like a bit of a mega the logs were signed MegaGOM. TFTC

Together with Crash2079, Baktrak, bella at waggy and a notorious QLDer this was day 3 of the MegaGOM's special edition Brisbane adventure.
Sans the boat today, there were far less mishaps other than losing a certain member of the party for some time.
Caches all found and in good condition.

In two lots TBU1BIKESU and I got all the sailing boat caches - including signing the challenge caches, but I still have to work on them to qualify.
We climbed up trees, fished a lot and bent over to get the cache containers, and signed the log with TBU.

Lovely day out caching with geo friends, and Saturday sure is a good day to be in this industrial landscape, with very little traffic to contend with.Picked an ideal spot to park to grab this one, a nice quick find here.Thank you, chamad, for placing this cache for our benefit combined with all the hard work, time, and effort you put into the puzzles & hides ????
Out caching with Peppa and BM75, really we went looking a JP and an open Officeworks, but the winding roads took us to a whole lot of other places instead
HMAS Ronaldo brought us safely to our next port of call

Out with Karicka and Peppa and we made a quick find here. Thanks for the cache chamad
After the Sweden, Sweden, Sweden... Bork! Bork!! BORK!!!! event this morning, with a promise of a trip to Officeworks I got Karicka in the car… Beardman75 came along as arm candy after ensuring he had the appropriate footwear on…
So my plans to save these caches for a rainy day went out the window… a fabulous afternoon full of dark humour, reminiscing and man bonding… not to be confused with bondage… that’s different…
It was after attending to the container that I realised that this was “the” cache… the one that caused pistols to be drawn…
Thanks chamad

On a short break from work today I jumped in the geowagon and headed out to pick up a few recently placed caches in this new piece of geoart close to home.
On arrival a safe place to park the car was found and after a short walk, I soon laid my hands on the cache and made my mark on the log before safely returning the cache back in its hides hole.
Quick walk back to the car and I was quickly off to grab another in the series.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this series available for fellow cachers to find.
Cheers

I had some business in Eagle Farm to finish the working day this afternoon. When done, just on dark, I thought I might grab a few from this series that I missed on the weekend and have since solved.
I arrived here just after dark and thankfully all quiet. A nice quick find. Thanks chamad

It was mentioned to me at this morning's event that my name wasn't in this cache that was visited over the last couple of days. I was quite perplexed and then compared my final coordinates. They weren't the same, and furthermore, Certitude was no longer showing my name as a solver.
Upon further review of other puzzles in the series during the afternoon, I noted that I had solved [#23 Take the Con](https://coord.info/GCA9ZTH) according to Certitude. A conversation with the CO indicated that there had been an accidental mix-up with Certitudes, and it was the coordinates of #23 that had been assigned to this puzzle that I had used on Friday evening.
I am not sure what the odds are of a cache-like container appearing at ground level of #23, but that was where the container was found/left, which explains why my name is missing from the logbook (and why there are strangely two FTFs for this geocache).

After narrowly missing one of the few remaining FTFs in this series, I arrived at this GZ only to find a bunch of hi-vis muggles standing around nearby, with seemingly nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon than have a chat right here. They were occupying what seemed to be all the legal parking spots in the area so I created a ‘quasi-legal’ spot and stealthily walked past, ascertaining that the cache was in place but not being able to remove it.
It was frustrating but I left, found others and then returned. Finding a blank log, I’m happy to claim *FTF*! TFTC Chamad and the great series which I’ll be working steadily through.
