Out with GS1947, Domskey and chamadThanks for creating, placing and maintaining for our enjoyment Party time GCARTY0 - 05 October 2025 Sunshine Coast
The puzzle solve for this one was delegated to Mr. Domsky, as this is a type of puzzle he likes to do on a daily basis. With that quickly sorted, we just had to make sure we could access the hide at GZ. All good at gz with a great day out in the area Thanks chamad Domsky
out to finish the last of our solved todayi am getting so much better and quicker at solving thesetook a video of retrieval ... it is hilariousway cool structure
Smashing the favourite points today Chamad.I have spent a bit of time over the last couple of weeks trying to solve all of the puzzles for this geo art series. Today I had a couple of hours spare between family commitments so I headed over the gateway to Pinkenba to squeeze in as many finds as I could. I recognised the requirements of the puzzle here straight away, and after quite a while (a second start required because you cant have two 8's in one grid) I had some coordinates. At GZ there was a car tucked around the corner, and its occupants were putting on their wellingtons. The dog and I walked past the cache to the waters edge, and after a while returned, and the others had moved down into the creek. The tool was then retrieved, and the cache was soon at hand. All is good with the log sheet. Thanks very much for the cache placement and creation of the series Chamad. A truly super effort. Cheers
Solved the puzzle, found the cache. TFTC....lol, nah, sorry, I like writing logs. Unfortunately for me, all of my logs that I dictated into my drafts disappeared. I have no idea how it happened. So whereas I had written a couple of sentences or paragraphs about each find when it was fresh in my mind, they have now evaporated. Three weeks later, I'm catching up on my logging of the thirty or so caches that I found on 21 September. During those three weeks, I've been overseas to Indonesia, where I spent an excellent week scuba diving, doing 17 dives, each between 60 and 85 minutes. I took lots of photos while I was diving to help me remember what I saw.My brain doesn't work much of the time, hence the notes and the photos on my caches too. The notes on this day's cache finds have since vanished, however the photos are a good reminder. This one, fortunately need no prompting. A fun fish in a nice quiet location. Thanks, chamad.
Interesting area down here. I would have explored a little but there were people milling around down near the river and I was starting to get close to my start time at work. Deployed the ToTT and retrieved the cache. TFTC
Since todays plan fizzled I headed out in the geo-car for a few caches by myself today.I found your cache, #22 Sent up the Pole today. This is my 3301 find.Quick find once in location.chamad, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Over visiting from NZ and using the time to do as much caching as other commitments allow. Today I had teamed up with GEM_54 to try and knock off as many of the sailboat series as possible.I'm certainly glad we chose a Sunday to do these ones, as the area was almost deserted and so parking near GZ's was never a problem, but I can imagine how busy it would be on a week day, with lots of workers and heavy traffic.Nearly half way through the series now. Spotted this one in a tott requiring position, but no problem for Trevor ... TFTC
We can't believe how well we all are going today. Not one dnf so far. After getting out our fishing . Another gotcha for us. Tftc and the challenge Chamad
7/7/2024 Find #7067Pprime had suggested a few weeks ago the idea of us working on the sailboat puzzle caches out this way. So, as it was holiday time, I figured I could put a little of the grey matter to work and see what I could come up with. And between us we did pretty darned well, I will say. So it was decided that today he and T4mmmy would collect me and we would take a trip over here to claim everything we could, getting me out and about for the last day of my break, before the rude return to work tomorrow. A quick fish for this one soon had cache in hand. Thanks for the cache chamad.
Accio 11:06:57A lovely day out 'sailing' with T4mmmy and 1MinnimooThanks chamad for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12560}*
Last fish of my Brisbane trip. CheersI find myself once again in Brisbane for a short visit. After the duties of the day, chasing some caches is certainly a good way of making the best of being in Queenslands caching Mekka. Unfortunately, it is rather rainy this time around, so I am focusing more on the urban caches, just in case the hunt has to be ended sooner rather than later. This was one of the caches I have found during my trip, so thanks chamad for creating the Micro sized 3.0/4.5 Mystery Geocache #22 Sent up the Pole.
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific. There were 3 members of our crew today - joojoo57, Richmond Lad & endeavour3. Now that we are crewed up we set sail in our to voyage to finds on some Little Sailing Boat caches. Logs may have been signed E3 to save space. TFTC Found & logged using Cachly for iOS
Driving down the road to find this cache, I was followed by a Port Security car. I parked nearby, try to look inconspicuous, but was approached by the guy in the car asking if I was lost. Not wanting to cause a drama, I stammered some sort of weak reply, and, whilst being watched, I continued on my way. Bad timing on my part. Ill be back
Thanks for the series chamad and arranging this hide. We're enjoying the variety. Weren't sure if we'd be able to get this one but we could. Fav point alloc
Happy Leap year Day. It is now 3:20 pm am and I am continuing my day of chasing certain D/T combinations to help with completing another loop of my D/T grid. After driving down the hill from Toowoomba I am moving onto the next cache on my 'to do' list. The score so far is: 20 Successes - 2 Failures After some kayaking, I made my way out here as I turn for home. These caches are just that little too far off of my work route to find when I come out this way for work. No caching on work time this trip. Once upon a time I used to work here. Another quick find. Name and date in the log book. Thanks for the cache.
Spent a few hours out here collecting caches this morning. Had some trouble with a few due to the recent rain, but Ardom brought his kayak boots and happily sloshed through the puddles A nice variety of caches collected so far. Im looking forward to coming back to collect the rest! TFTPuzzles and caches!
The heat was starting to get to us by this stage of the day, so we were hoping for a nice quick retrieval here. It was not too bad... TFTC!
My wife and I had come out early to avoid the heat and we were successful. We arent successful all that often including the one time we didnt have sex for three years, yet still had two children during that time. We decided this would be the last find for the morning and we would come back another day to see how far our luck could go with the rest of the sailboat. As we came up to the train tracks the lights were flashing so there was something coming we had to stop for. what eventually came down the track was the most confusing yet novel thing we have ever seen. The thing on the tracks was a Geometry Train. Now to those people that have no life or friends that work in the train industry this might not seem strange, but when something called a Geometry Train comes rolling done a track that is anything but geometrically pleasing, someone has failed a mathematics exam. Also what happens on a Geometry Train and what is its purpose? This was some kind of sine, cosine, tan, Pythagoras shit that was well beyond us. We drove around to GZ thinking about the behemoth on the tracks that seemed to serve no purpose and we were more confused than ever. Mrs Woodyrothwell came up with the goods and our enjoyable morning in Pinkenba was over. tftc
I took a break from work today to come grab just a few of the sailboat series. This one will help with our next, the 8th, D/T loop. And I do enjoy wielding my tree fishing pole . This was a nice easy retrieve! Thanks for find #5241TNLN
Last one today. Run out of solved puzzles. We'll I have no proper TOTT for this so a tree lopper with a golf ball extractor taped and braced with 6 ft man to retrieve it was in hand quickly signed and back just as quick. Thanks chamad. All good with this cache and puzzle. A favourite for the series so far.
These puzzles were solved when they first came out and we had a chance to collect our handy work today. With no one around today it was a nice quick catch and release.Tftc chamadFind #4827
This morning sees me heading back to the airport for the 3rd time in under a day to collect some colleagues travelling in for a conference. Of course I decided to depart early, knowing I had plenty of caches to keep me occupied until they arrived.Stop 3 for the mornings trip. Another puzzle I tackled while sitting in the hotel last night. GZ was a bit sketchy after the rain, lots of ground water to contend with but I was able to get the job done whilst remaining presentable for when I eventually arrived at my work conference later in the morning.
I had solved many of this series, some easy and some hard, a couple of months ago. Wanting to find a certain attribute this month for a challenge, I drove out here early hoping to avoid too many people. As it turned out, it was a very busy day as there is a cruise ship at the terminal and lots of fishermen at various locations. At at a few of the caches I bumped into nikid1, KerriMG and Que Sera who had the same idea.I arrived at GZ, luckily very quiet, and saw the structure - interesting. Then I wandered around and saw the cache which was an easy retrieval and replace. Tftc
Over the last week IolantheK and me have looking out towards the bay at a little sailing boat with no smilies We decided to try and light it up (well mostly, a few challenges have remained dark )Some were easy, whilst others weren't so much harder but took a while to decode, whilst others required one to get into the mind of the CO In the end I think we managed to solve all but three without assistance (Me thinks some puzzling may require a psychiatry degree, as IolantheK says "purple because aliens" )So with that done we headed out over the last weekend and found and signed a great variety of caches!!*Well done chamad TFTCs* A fav point for this one
T-Tech and I spent some time over the last couple of days to get this My Little Sailing Boat Geoart series sorted, and today we had a few hours to make some of them smileys A simple solve here. It was our first of the series to visit as T-Tech was a bit worried about the Attributes and wanted to do a recce. He was pleasantly surprised it was easier than he expected, so we deployed the TOTT and he made short work of the grab. A good start to the afternoon! TFTC, chamad.
This series' puzzles were interesting and a great tutorial for those learning the different types. I was able to recognise most puzzles, and then had to research a few others on the typical puzzle-solving websites. Regarding this puzzle, I was able to get a unique solution without issue, so I was surprised to hear that some people had issues with the puzzle (initially).Regarding the *My Little Sailing Boat Geoart* series, I really enjoyed my Sunday afternoon in the industrial areas of Eagle Farm, Pinkenba and Myrtletown, and it was largely quiet other than a few trucks and Uber drivers / taxis heading between the ports of the cruise terminal and Tangalooma. I think it is a choice area to place the geoart, as it is out of the way and its quieter street network makes it optimal to add geocaches. Furthermore, I felt like there were a few opportunities to add larger-sized containers with the suburbs' factories/industry. To give others an indication of timing, I was able to collect 24 finds in 2:40 hr, commencing at 14:20 hr. The series gets a big thumbs-up! I was expecting a climb at this location, but it turned out to be a rather fun and novel retrieval! Nice choice for this cache hide, and the wire grating presented a new challenge for navigating one's TOTT (just like the carnival metal touch games). The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. Favourite Point.----------This afternoon, I had a few hours available whilst baby Cottontail was napping, and a family get-together, so I decided to finally return to the *My Little Sailing Boat Geoart* series having visited the area briefly during its first night of publication. A delightful afternoon with good weather and reasonably quick finds that had my mood in good spirits despite gallivanting around this series solo.
GCA9ZTC #22 Sent up the PoleOut with KerriMG and Que Sera for a spot of caching. We had all solved this one and I was after an attribute here so we stopped for one last one before heading home. Let KerriMG do the retrieving while Que Sera and I chatted. Then went for a walk to check out the view nearby. TFTC chamad
nikid1, Que Sera & I headed to this cache as it had an attribute we needed for the October challenge. I struggled with this sudoku, must need more practice, thank goodness for caching buddies. The retrieving honours were done by nikid1 & our names were soon in the log. Thanks for the puzzle & cache chamad
Hide- I spotted this cache here yesterday on my bike ride but did not have the correct toolPuzzle- i love a suduko but did need help with this oneFun times- Today Nikid1, KerriMG and i decided to pick this one up to help with a challenge. We did use team work to find this cache. Thanks chamad for all the fun
Cool placement Tftc Chamad, weekday is probably not the best choice for these as the area is quite busy.Enjoyed the puzzlesNice geo art
A team up with Gunnie69 today to tackle this geoart. He had them solved, and some of the challenges we both were able to qualify for. So today we made a team effort to make the finds here. We started up top and worked our way down. Some were tricky, like working out on site puzzles, and some were easy straightforward finds - but hey that is all part of the fun of making a find. So many spots it could have been here, but there was a large object that was oddly here - wonder what its for. As I looked up there it was and Gunnie did the honours. TFTC
An interesting placement for this cache and when it was spotted, I wondered how often the structure is visited for maintenance or general operations and whether the container will be spotted. [?] In the mean time though, it's there for retrieval and with the apt tool on hand, it was in hand and the log out for business. A little tricky to snare given the nature of the placement, but we managed. With all the puzzles solved at home where I could and the challenges checked for qualification, I teamed up with NurseyJulie this morning to pick up what we could. Heading to the furthest point to start, then working our way back toward the big smoke, we managed to get almost every cache on the list, despite spending a chunk of time sorting the multi and unknown caches out at the boat ramp. I was sad to see the multi over there once we had the final cords. Thanks for the variety and some interesting hides Chamad, we had a great morning hunting icons.
Out finding a few caches with Dora the Explorer! The sailboat geoart was our target for the day. All caches, except one, were quickly located and the logs signed. We enjoyed this series with its variety of puzzles, D/Ts, containers and hides. Thanks, chamad, for the effort involved in this geoart for the enjoyment of all cachers.....and TFTC.
Today's geocaching adventure took me to a most extraordinary place: a heavy industrial area perched alongside the majestic river. What made this expedition truly unique was the fusion of mystery, multi, letterbox, and challenge caches, each ingeniously hidden amidst the gritty industrial landscape.
This power trail was unlike any other, not just because of its diversity but also the added thrill of tree climbs, tree fishing, and exceptional camouflage. It was an adventure lover's paradise!
The relentless buzz of machinery contrasted beautifully with the soothing flow of the nearby river, setting the stage for an unforgettable day of geocaching. As I navigated through the labyrinthine structures, I felt like an urban explorer on a quest for hidden treasures.
Tree climbs and tree fishing were the name of the game in this power trail. Each cache brought its unique challenge - from scaling heights to reaching seemingly impossible places. The adrenaline rush with each find was exhilarating!
Camouflage took on a whole new meaning as these caches were expertly hidden in plain sight, blending seamlessly with their industrial surroundings. It took a keen eye and a patient hand to reveal them.
The logbooks within these caches told tales of fellow adventurers who had dared to tackle this extraordinary trail. I proudly added my geocaching username, the date, and a heartfelt message of gratitude in each logbook.
This power trail was a testament to the ingenuity of the cache owners, who turned an industrial landscape into a geocacher's playground. To them, I extend my utmost appreciation.
As I conclude this epic geocaching journey, I am left with memories of exhilarating climbs, unexpected finds, and the undeniable thrill of urban exploration. Until the next adventure, may your caches be as creative as this one!

Day 3 of MegaGOM boating and tree fishing expedition with **bella at waggy**, **Baktrak**, **Purplepeopleater** and an anonymous local.
After 2 days on the water, it was time to remain on terra firma. But we still caught some fish, and for some, it was a big slog up a steep hill. Towards the end of the day, it was a mad dash mopping up around the airport and still managing to get through security on time.
Enjoyed all the caches and the company was reasonable as well.

On a quick trip North with a few Sydney mates and a colourful local for a few days on the water, in the mud and up the hills, running around grabbing some beaut caches. Much joint puzzle-solving and planning paid off. On day 3, we left the water and mud behind in favour of tall trees, steep hills and a final race around the streets near the airport.
We signed with the space-saving catch-all, “megagom”, in memory of previous exploits.
Thanks chamad.

Some plans were hatched with a local and some Sydney Siders for a 3 day quick caching trip which involved getting the boat out, yaks, mud, poles, ladders, trees etc. Plenty of solving was done and routes plotted. The boat, the MV Grumpy lived up to its name with some cantankerous displays and the need for running repairs on serval occasions so our timetable had to be amended on more than one occasion.
Day 3 was planned to be a land day well with a few trees as well.
This was the last leg, how much of the art work can be collected before the flight in a few hours? The answer is most of it.
A number of us have thought we have previously been the victims of caching identity theft by that mysterious mob called the GOM’s. As a result and given it felt like a bit of a mega the logs were signed MegaGOM. TFTC

Together with Crash2079, Baktrak, bella at waggy and a notorious QLDer this was day 3 of the MegaGOM's special edition Brisbane adventure.
Sans the boat today, there were far less mishaps other than losing a certain member of the party for some time.
Caches all found and in good condition.

In two lots TBU1BIKESU and I got all the sailing boat caches - including signing the challenge caches, but I still have to work on them to qualify.
We climbed up trees, fished a lot and bent over to get the cache containers, and signed the log with TBU.

Lovely day out caching with geo friends, and Saturday sure is a good day to be in this industrial landscape, with very little traffic to contend with.We had an audience for this one, oh to explain tree fishing when they think you are trying to hook a koala bear out of a tree. Lucky our pole reached up enough to retrieve and replace as found, and the bystander was pleased we didn't do anything illegal too ?????Thank you, chamad, for placing this cache for our benefit combined with all the hard work, time, and effort you put into the puzzles & hides ????
Yes we sent up the pole - even though a nearby working truck driver offered to climb up ....
We got the full length out of our pole .... as this D/T was definitely needed for me for the next loop.
TBU went out on a geocaching tour to Pinkenba with Snickersallan and Grannysmith1947 to get the remaining Geoart Sailing boat caches.
We got this one down and signed the log. Then it went up again!

I rocked up and was initially concerned that something had come off the carabiner up there… but of course the cache was actually perfectly safe.
This was my first use of my fishing pole for quite some time and I’m really pleased it still works fine, with a new hook on the end.
An FP from me… TFTC!

Out today with RoddyC hatzofff Imbunda and Echocage1 to grab as many of these sailboat caches as we can. Early start and little traffic to interfere with our caching adventures.
Parked nearby and made my way to GZ but didn't spot it in the trees. Once gps settled it pointed in a different direction. Oh look at that!! What a Clever hide. Using our tott we made a quick catch and release. Log signed as Geo 5. A fav point from me.

I’ve just finished my book of sudoku puzzles so it was good to get a new one in the form of this puzzle. We went for a wee drive today with various TOTTs in the back and quickly ascertained which one was needed when we arrived at GZ. A bold hide here again, it didn’t take long before the log was signed and cache returned. Thanks chamad
Noticed that this new piece of geoart earlier this week and managed to get through quiet a few over the last few days. The unfortunately I didn’t have much of a window to get out and pick them up as we had interstate guests to entertain this weekend.
Did however manage to sneak a hour or so in late on Sunday and made quick work of the closest 10 or so caches to home.
Caches all found safe and well and logs quickly signed and returned to there containers.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this series available to be found. I’ll soon be back for the rest.
Cheers

Beardman75 and I are off to Caboolture and this is the one new sailing boat we’ve decided to target…
Nice work on the location… despite the aroma…
We went one way only to discover another…

I had settled down over dinner, hoping to watch the cricket, when I noticed my inbox had been smashed with notifications for this series. I was feeling lazy and opted not to head out chasing them, but instead stayed up late, cheering every Aussie ashes run and Pommy wicket and solved most of the puzzles.
After a lazy breakfast, I headed out with the intention of snaffling up as many of the first to finds that were still available.
I am not certain why but this puzzle took me a while. Eventually I got the green tick from the checker. Spying the unusual terrain rating, I decided to throw a few typical tools of the trade into the kit bag, just in case.
I must say I got a bit of a surprise at GZ. Not quite the pole that I expected, but a great urban hide none the less.
I had correctly anticipated the necessary tool and at 8.41 am signed my name in the logbook to claim the ***FTF***.
Enjoyed this one. Have a crooked favourite point. Many thanks Chamad
