Great Geo art, a mix of puzzles and a lot of fun.Its great to be here in Brisbane for a few days with the opportunity to come and find this series. Today we had the company for awhile of Bluewattle, GrannySmoith1947 and chamad. Thanks chamad Domsky
oh this one took some work in the end we had the right word we just were not doing the right thing with it well it seems appropriate that this container would not like me just as i reached out to it the tott moved and i was ... nope not happeningsend the fireman up the ladder
Nice and quiet today, so we were able to set the TOTT up. Barb went up, but could only just touch the cache. My turn to put my old skills into practice.Log retrieved, signed and replaced.TFTC
Headed out with a couple of my best geo buddies whom live local who graciously have their time to transport me around the sailboat series.Smooth sailing for a SundayThanks CHAMAD for creating, placing and maintaining for our enjoyment.
A cache worthy of it's D/T. I went down so many different tracks in trying to solve this cache. Rabbit warrens everywhere, none of which got me anywhere. In the end, as this was a needed D/T for my next loop, and the only remaining cache in the series that I hadn't solved, I reluctantly contacted the CO who gave me the clue which pointed me in the right direction. I hadn't seen a puzzle like this before, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have ever been able to solve it by myself. Tricky. The cache itself was fun. I love a good tree climb, and there are so many beautiful trees in this area. The particular tree at GZ was a prime example and an enjoyable climb, especially on a Saturday when no one was nearby. Thanks for the fun climb and the cache, chamad. A FP for this one.
Nice quiet find today. A nice climb here log signed, and replaced as found.TFTC chamad
Over visiting from NZ and using the time to do as much caching as other commitments allow. Today I had teamed up with GEM_54 to try and knock off as many of the sailboat series as possible.I'm certainly glad we chose a Sunday to do these ones, as the area was almost deserted and so parking near GZ's was never a problem, but I can imagine how busy it would be on a week day, with lots of workers and heavy traffic.Quickly spotted by Jackie on arrival at GZ. Hmmm.., a bit of a climb, but I reckon this old pensioner could do it, so up I went and survived to tell the tale. TFTC
Jackie spotted what we were after, and in no time at all Peter had his hand on the log. We couldn't have done it without Peter's Ob8 Ob8 help . What a great day we are all having.
7/7/2024 Find #7066Pprime had suggested a few weeks ago the idea of us working on the sailboat puzzle caches out this way. So, as it was holiday time, I figured I could put a little of the grey matter to work and see what I could come up with. And between us we did pretty darned well, I will say. So it was decided that today he and T4mmmy would collect me and we would take a trip over here to claim everything we could, getting me out and about for the last day of my break, before the rude return to work tomorrow. Pprime saw it first and in usual style flew up to make the grab. Thanks for the cache chamad.
Accio 11:00:55A lovely day out 'sailing' with T4mmmy and 1MinnimooThanks chamad for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12559}*
Easy climb just past midnight. A great one for filling my next matrix loop. I find myself once again in Brisbane for a short visit. After the duties of the day, chasing some caches is certainly a good way of making the best of being in Queenslands caching Mekka. Unfortunately, it is rather rainy this time around, so I am focusing more on the urban caches, just in case the hunt has to be ended sooner rather than later. This was one of the caches I have found during my trip, so thanks chamad for creating the Small sized 5.0/4.0 Mystery Geocache #23 Take the Con.
Tough puzzle. Without a breadcrumb, it's possible to come up with some wild ideas. So I did. But I also came up with the solution. At GZ today, there were lots of insects about. I focused on getting up to the cache safely.TFTC!
Thanks for the series chamad and arranging this hide. Quiet this morning which is great. Ladder helped. Fav point
The night before Australia Day I was sipping on a few meads and reading some old logs so we knew what to expect today. I had even gone to the extent of packing a ladder just in case.Being named Justin, Ive heard all the specials at the pub thinking theyre the first person to say ahh, just in case. The ones that think they are truly smart go ahh, just in time. I even had one old timer go ahh, just in at the news desk (which no one laughed at and for good reason). Yes Ive heard them all a million times since I was born and they dont phase me, but there is one that cut me to shreds. It was the first time I was being intimate with my wife and she said ahh, just in.So just in case we needed it the ladder was packed. However we didnt see anything that was stopping an assault on the tree and I scrambled up to grab the hide. Thankfully there werent any crawly things or I would have been just in the shit. I was Justin The Shit! tftc
Spent a few hours out here collecting caches this morning. Had some trouble with a few due to the recent rain, but Ardom brought his kayak boots and happily sloshed through the puddles A nice variety of caches collected so far. Im looking forward to coming back to collect the rest! TFTPuzzles and caches!
Currently this tree is covered in bees/wasps(?). Decided to try a ladder to avoid climbing directly though them, but while we got close (as in touched the container) the insects had other plans... Logging with permission of the CO who saw that state of the tree. Hopefully they move on soon.
I'd been slowly working my way through this series of puzzles but just couldn't make any progress with this last one. Then a conversation with a fellow geocacher while trudging through mangroves and mud gave me a clear path to follow. Although I've heard of this type of puzzle, I'd never actually come across it before. Well, I don't think I have .So, since this one fills the second-last spot on our 7th D/T loop, I took a pause from work today to come and grab it. All my practice in tree climbing lately has obviously paid off and I made it easily up this tree to the container. Thanks for find #5239TNLN
Headed out after the Secret Santa 2023 event to knock off a few more of this geoart. Hmm took a look but not for me!
Puzzle not what I expected. The other half of Team Benders team helped out as I'm 5'2" and he's 6 ft. No way without a TOTT which I don't have yet. He retrieved and I signed the log. Thanks chamad. All good with this cache and puzzle.
Trying to build up numbers and a certain attribute, this geoart was our main target for the day while we had some time to kill. Spotted from the ground then a fun climb up to the cache.Tftc chamadFind #4819
GCA9ZTH #23 Take the ConOut for a morning of caching with Que Sera and KerriMG to grab some of these sailing boats which had an attribute we were interested in. Also ran into Kolour which was lovely. This was a tricky puzzle that I struggled with even though I have solved a similar puzzle in the past. At GZ I was glad QS was happy to go up. We took lots of photos to celebrate her 6th loop. Well done and glad we could be there to celebrate with her. TFTC chamad
I am officially 6 times loopy now. My husband thinks it it more than that after he saw the photos of me up this tree. Today KerriMG, Nikid1 and i had hatched a plan to find some off road caches for the November challenge by georode. This puzzle had me completely stumped . I tried everything i could think of and finally asked for help. Loved this puzzle and i love a nice tree climb so giving it a FP for all the fun
I had solved many of this series, some easy and some hard, a couple of months ago. Wanting to find a certain attribute this month for a challenge, I drove out here early hoping to avoid too many people. As it turned out, it was a very busy day as there is a cruise ship at the terminal and lots of fishermen at various locations. At at a few of the caches I bumped into nikid1, KerriMG and Que Sera who had the same idea.I only solved this one last night after chatting to the CO who gave me a hint. Not so hard when you know how . I'm not always confident with tree climbs, but at gz, once on the correct side of the tree and the cache spotted, it was an easy climb. Tftc
Over the last week IolantheK and me have looking out towards the bay at a little sailing boat with no smilies We decided to try and light it up (well mostly, a few challenges have remained dark )Some were easy, whilst others weren't so much harder but took a while to decode, whilst others required one to get into the mind of the CO In the end I think we managed to solve all but three without assistance (Me thinks some puzzling may require a psychiatry degree, as IolantheK says "purple because aliens" )So with that done we headed out over the last weekend and found and signed a great variety of caches!!*Well done chamad TFTCs*
T-Tech and I headed out again this afternoon to see if we could finish off this series This one had me tearing my hair out! Eventually I asked the CO for a hint, and that was a good move as I don't think I'd have made the hyper-leap to the solution. At G I spied the container and T-Tech did the fetching. TFTC, chamad.
This series' puzzles were interesting and a great tutorial for those learning the different types. I was able to recognise most puzzles, and then had to research a few others on the typical puzzle-solving websites. Regarding this puzzle, this was perhaps the most difficult that I had encountered, with its 5.0 Difficulty rating adequately describing what was required. Despite being the first name in Certitude, I needed to get help with what was required as I was certainly lost as the hint suggested.Regarding the *My Little Sailing Boat Geoart* series, I really enjoyed my Sunday afternoon in the industrial areas of Eagle Farm, Pinkenba and Myrtletown, and it was largely quiet other than a few trucks and Uber drivers / taxis heading between the ports of the cruise terminal and Tangalooma. I think it is a choice area to place the geoart, as it is out of the way and its quieter street network makes it optimal to add geocaches. Furthermore, I felt like there were a few opportunities to add larger-sized containers with the suburbs' factories/industry. To give others an indication of timing, I was able to collect 24 finds in 2:40 hr, commencing at 14:20 hr. The series gets a big thumbs-up! Today during my visit, I was very familiar with this location as I spent 25 min on the first night trying to find the faux pas container at ground level (as that Terrain rating suggested). With the small mishap sorted, I made sure to collect the facade container (seriously - if you saw this container, would you not think it was the cache?!), and then made my way to and up the applicable tree. A fun climb, and I was soon at the relevant elevation signing the logbook. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This afternoon, I had a few hours available whilst baby Cottontail was napping, and a family get-together, so I decided to finally return to the *My Little Sailing Boat Geoart* series having visited the area briefly during its first night of publication. A delightful afternoon with good weather and reasonably quick finds that had my mood in good spirits despite gallivanting around this series solo.
Like the D/T hereTftc Chamad, weekday is probably not the best choice for these as the area is quite busy.Enjoyed the puzzlesNice geo art
A team up with Gunnie69 today to tackle this geoart. He had them solved, and some of the challenges we both were able to qualify for. So today we made a team effort to make the finds here. We started up top and worked our way down. Some were tricky, like working out on site puzzles, and some were easy straightforward finds - but hey that is all part of the fun of making a find. Up Gunnie went for this one. A nice simple climb here. TFTC
What intrigued me about this puzzle, was the D rating. I initially thought surely this is a simple google search and a tap of the answer into certitude. Fair to say, after adding countless red crossed to the total, I get the rating now. At GZ, the container was spotted pretty quickly and after a little elevation, we had some names in the log. A nice easy climb on this one. With all the puzzles solved at home where I could and the challenges checked for qualification, I teamed up with NurseyJulie this morning to pick up what we could. Heading to the furthest point to start, then working our way back toward the big smoke, we managed to get almost every cache on the list, despite spending a chunk of time sorting the multi and unknown caches out at the boat ramp. I was sad to see the multi over there once we had the final cords. Thanks for the variety and some interesting hides Chamad, we had a great morning hunting icons.
This one was the most challenging puzzle of the series, requiring some assistance from others to discover what was needed. The retrieval of the cache was much easier, with Mr DisSister performing the necessary gymnastics. A great D/T combo for my next loop was a bonus too. Thanks chamad
Out finding a few caches with Dora the Explorer! The sailboat geoart was our target for the day. All caches, except one, were quickly located and the logs signed. We enjoyed this series with its variety of puzzles, D/Ts, containers and hides. Thanks, chamad, for the effort involved in this geoart for the enjoyment of all cachers.....and TFTC.
Down in SEQ for a few days to celebrate the life of a caching ambassador and a great friend Karicka. It’s more than likely he’d found this one.
Back in BrisVegas to grab some rare DT targets today with BenM70 and greencordial.
Quick grab here. Thanks chamad for adding to my day.

With the sad new that karicka, Townsville’s honarary #1 had passed, I had to come down and pay my respects to a nice bloke with whom I’d enjoyed a few caching adventures.
With the service done the trepid trio, burgo, greencordial and myself went to pick out a few caches that took our fancy for one reason or another
This one had a great DT. Much easier than some technical tree climbs with the same, but it still took a burgo to climb and access it
Thanks chamad for placing this Mystery for my find # 4462

Today's geocaching adventure took me to a most extraordinary place: a heavy industrial area perched alongside the majestic river. What made this expedition truly unique was the fusion of mystery, multi, letterbox, and challenge caches, each ingeniously hidden amidst the gritty industrial landscape.
This power trail was unlike any other, not just because of its diversity but also the added thrill of tree climbs, tree fishing, and exceptional camouflage. It was an adventure lover's paradise!
The relentless buzz of machinery contrasted beautifully with the soothing flow of the nearby river, setting the stage for an unforgettable day of geocaching. As I navigated through the labyrinthine structures, I felt like an urban explorer on a quest for hidden treasures.
Tree climbs and tree fishing were the name of the game in this power trail. Each cache brought its unique challenge - from scaling heights to reaching seemingly impossible places. The adrenaline rush with each find was exhilarating!
Camouflage took on a whole new meaning as these caches were expertly hidden in plain sight, blending seamlessly with their industrial surroundings. It took a keen eye and a patient hand to reveal them.
The logbooks within these caches told tales of fellow adventurers who had dared to tackle this extraordinary trail. I proudly added my geocaching username, the date, and a heartfelt message of gratitude in each logbook.
This power trail was a testament to the ingenuity of the cache owners, who turned an industrial landscape into a geocacher's playground. To them, I extend my utmost appreciation.
As I conclude this epic geocaching journey, I am left with memories of exhilarating climbs, unexpected finds, and the undeniable thrill of urban exploration. Until the next adventure, may your caches be as creative as this one!

A bit of guidance from the co was required for me on this one but once nudged it all came together.
It’s an early morning start for me travelling through the north side of Brisbane with a mission.
I arrived in the area early this morning with a view to picking up a few caches I needed for a particular challenge but timed my run incorrectly. Non the less I made the most of my location and made my way to a parking spot to tee off for this cache.
It didn’t take all that long before I laid my hands on the prize and etched my name into the log. Returned the cache to its position of safety and returned to the car n search of my next challenge.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Cheers

#7348Day 3 of MegaGOM boating and tree fishing expedition with **bella at waggy**, **Baktrak**, **Purplepeopleater** and an anonymous local. After 2 days on the water, it was time to remain on terra firma. But we still caught some fish, and for some, it was a big slog up a steep hill. Towards the end of the day, it was a mad dash mopping up around the airport and still managing to get through security on time.Enjoyed all the caches and the company was reasonable as well.TFTC chamad
Found it last year with the GOMs from Sydney after a very big weekend of boating, kayaking, laddering and climbing.Sorry for the tardy logthere will be more.Cheers
On a quick trip North with a few Sydney mates and a colourful local for a few days on the water, in the mud and up the hills, running around grabbing some beaut caches. Much joint puzzle-solving and planning paid off. On day 3, we left the water and mud behind in favour of tall trees, steep hills and a final race around the streets near the airport.
We signed with the space-saving catch-all, “megagom”, in memory of previous exploits.
Thanks chamad.

Some plans were hatched with a local and some Sydney Siders for a 3 day quick caching trip which involved getting the boat out, yaks, mud, poles, ladders, trees etc. Plenty of solving was done and routes plotted. The boat, the MV Grumpy lived up to its name with some cantankerous displays and the need for running repairs on serval occasions so our timetable had to be amended on more than one occasion.
Day 3 was planned to be a land day well with a few trees as well.
This was the last leg, how much of the art work can be collected before the flight in a few hours? The answer is most of it.
A number of us have thought we have previously been the victims of caching identity theft by that mysterious mob call the GOM’s. As a result and given it felt like a bit of a mega the logs were signed MegaGOM. TFTC

Together with Crash2079, Baktrak, bella at waggy and a notorious QLDer this was day 3 of the MegaGOM's special edition Brisbane adventure.
Sans the boat today, there were far less mishaps other than losing a certain member of the party for some time.
Caches all found and in good condition.

Lovely day out caching with geo friends, and Saturday sure is a good day to be in this industrial landscape, with very little traffic to contend with.My teammates were all keen to nab this one for their grid, so I did the honours with the retrieval and replacement ??Thank you, chamad, for placing this cache for our benefit combined with all the hard work, time, and effort you put into the puzzles & hides ????
We shared the climbs.... and also putting fish back in other cases. That's increasing the fun of caching!
TBU went out on a geocaching tour to Pinkenba with Snickersallan and Grannysmith1947 to get the remaining Geoart Sailing boat caches.
We signed the log.

I had lots of trouble finding a place to start this puzzle and needed a strong hint to know how to identify it and start sleuthing it out.
Pleasingly, as I was getting towards the end of the day, the climb was easy. Always good to have a nice soft paperbark to grab.

After the Sweden, Sweden, Sweden... Bork! Bork!! BORK!!!! event this morning, with a promise of a trip to Officeworks I got Karicka in the car… Beardman75 came along as arm candy after ensuring he had the appropriate footwear on…
I put Renaldo into “sport/4WD” and parked within metres of GZ… didn’t want my ladies to exhaust themselves to early… apparently this cache gets Karicka get his 73rd loop or something… and one small stumble and Beardman75 has his next one too…

Out today with RoddyC hatzofff Imbunda and Echocage1 to grab as many of these sailboat caches as we can. Early start and little traffic to interfere with our caching adventures.
This puzzle certainly got us thinking on how to solve it until a light bulb moment. Now at gz, we had a discussion on which tree and how should we get it.
Bit like Cluedo.... Echocage1 up the tree with a ladder. Log signed Geo 5.

I was trying to save Chamad’s little boat for calendar days… it’s close-ish to work… I managed to drive past so many without stopping, but I’m only human…
This puzzle was perhaps the most taxing of the whole Geoart… we just couldn’t make the step, and looking at the red number on the checker, neither could anyone else…
A nice climb that didn’t set off any alarms bells in my head…
