Puzzle sorted, and log sign out on our Adventure in Pinkenba today. Awesome series. A lot of work has gone into this geo artThanks chamad Domsky
Headed out with a couple of my best geo buddies whom live local who graciously have their time to transport me around the sailboat series.Smooth sailing for a SundayThanks CHAMAD for creating, placing and maintaining for our enjoyment.
I parked in front of Ground Zero and made an anti-clockwise circle around the tree. Of course, the cache was found just to the left of where I started! Typical.Another cache found on my list of caches today. Not sure Ill get them all done today, but Ill give it a good crack. Thanks chamad.
out to finish the last of our solved todayvery clever puzzlenice for have a quick find after a not very successful start to the dayi like these tethers
2777 - I was in the area yesterday to pick up some of the ones I had solved in this series, but I didn't quite grab them all, as I needed to grab some lunch. I knew I was going to come back today though, as a Cruise ship was in town which meant that the Cruise Terminal would be open and I could grab the Adventure Labs up there, before making my way back to the west a little to grab the remaining ones I had solved. This was a quick find at 12:28pm. Ants had made a home in the area containing the container, and once they were disturbed they slipped into defend their territory mode. I made a quick note in the log book before I was on my way to the next one. Thanks again for the cache and the geoart series chamad.
After stopping to grab the one up the road nearby, i whipped in here to make another find. Round and round I went before releasing I was still 10 metres from GZ. Rookie mistake. Once at the right GZ I made a quick find. Maybe I have time for 1 more. TFTC
We were grateful for the hint. (We might never have solved it. ) And we circumnavigated the tree several times before spotting the tether. All good here. Thank you.
Over visiting from NZ and using the time to do as much caching as other commitments allow. Today I had teamed up with GEM_54 to try and knock off as many of the sailboat series as possible.I'm certainly glad we chose a Sunday to do these ones, as the area was almost deserted and so parking near GZ's was never a problem, but I can imagine how busy it would be on a week day, with lots of workers and heavy traffic.Over half way through the series now and still going strong, managing nice quick finds and still no dnf's yet. Let's hope this continues. TFTC
It's great to work as a team. Jackie spotted it, Peter retrieved it,and I Trevor signed it. Replaced cache as found. Off to the next one in this geo art.
Found with bennyboy3677 and PeytieCakes while on our way to Brissy, thanks for the fun
7/7/2024 Find #7064Pprime had suggested a few weeks ago the idea of us working on the sailboat puzzle caches out this way. So, as it was holiday time, I figured I could put a little of the grey matter to work and see what I could come up with. And between us we did pretty darned well, I will say. So it was decided that today he and T4mmmy would collect me and we would take a trip over here to claim everything we could, getting me out and about for the last day of my break, before the rude return to work tomorrow. Pprime circumnavigated the tree twice and didnt see it Move over and let me have a go and I spot it (with the obvious colour and all) right away. Thanks for the cache chamad.
Accio 10:53:13A lovely day out 'sailing' with T4mmmy and 1MinnimooThanks chamad for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12557}*
I find myself once again in Brisbane for a short visit. After the duties of the day, chasing some caches is certainly a good way of making the best of being in Queenslands caching Mekka. Unfortunately, it is rather rainy this time around, so I am focusing more on the urban caches, just in case the hunt has to be ended sooner rather than later. This was one of the caches I have found during my trip, so thanks chamad for creating the Small sized 1.0/1.5 Mystery Geocache #28 Through Thick and Thin.
I actually had my GPS set to a different cache but this one appears when I was close so I decided to find it first.A quick find again.TFTC chamad
A nice speedy find to keep my streak going today. I was lucky to score a park right at GZ. Thanks chamad
Thanks for the series chamad and arranging this hide. Quiet this morning which is great.
2nd day of collecting this series, and a much drier & quieter day today which allowed for some creative parking at some GZs. A fun series with a variety of different hides, and no DNFs which is a good day. TFTCaches!
Right at GZ we found an old rusty shifter on the ground. There must be some tradie building a bridge somewhere doing up the nuts and bolts finger-tight.This got me to thinking about old men that are hoarders of old tools because the ones at Bunnings are bloody cheap Chinese plastic crap (an actual quote on the Bunnings price tag). My father in law was an old mechanic and when he moved house I was the stupid and fit son in-law capable of moving old crud. One of the things I had to move was a box of about 100 shifters. What the hell do you need 100 shifters for that just one cant do? Not only that the old bugger was so tight he didnt give me one. He was retired but I still had to lug those shifters to his new place so they could sit beside the 400 screwdrivers and over 3000 nuts, bolts and washers that might come in handy one day. They never did! tftc
GCA9ZTZ #28 Through Thick and ThinLast minute decision to go for the December solstice souvenir has me grabbing a few of these. The beauty of a Saturday hunt the streets are pretty empty. Well everywhere but here. A truck and a car right at GZ but as I drove past they were shanking hands hopefully that means they are heading in their seperate ways. Parked a bit further along and yes a stroke of luck they were moving on. Walked down and made a quick find. Watched a plane overhead thinking Im glad Im not at work caching is much more funTFTC chamad
Grabbing a few in the series while up in Brisbane. Gradually making our way through the puzzles. Thanks chamad.
Another early morning caching run at 2am because work brought me close. A quick find here this morning. Thanks for the cache.
Out and about caching today looking for a number of caches. Arrived at GZ and started searching. After a quick search, cache was found. TFTC.
GPS was a little crazy at first But finally settled down enough for me to head towards GZ where the cache was found neatly tucked away. TFTC
Last one today. Had to hurry as a storm was approaching. Rocked up to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks Chamad. All good with this cache and puzzle. A favourite for the series so far.
Out for a short time today to collect some of this geoart while the area is not busy. I collected 7 smileys in between the small showers TFTC
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific. This morning I headed out on my to find some of the solved sailing boat caches I ended up finding & signing the log on 18 caches for the morning. I like this type of hide Found & logged using Cachly for iOS
Over the last week IolantheK and me have looking out towards the bay at a little sailing boat with no smilies We decided to try and light it up (well mostly, a few challenges have remained dark )Some were easy, whilst others weren't so much harder but took a while to decode, whilst others required one to get into the mind of the CO In the end I think we managed to solve all but three without assistance (Me thinks some puzzling may require a psychiatry degree, as IolantheK says "purple because aliens" )So with that done we headed out over the last weekend and found and signed a great variety of caches!!*Well done chamad TFTCs*
T-Tech and I headed out again this afternoon to see if we could finish off this series Umm, how to solve??? Oh, that'll do A quick find at GZ. TFTC, chamad.
This series' puzzles were interesting and a great tutorial for those learning the different types. I was able to recognise most puzzles, and then had to research a few others on the typical puzzle-solving websites. Regarding this puzzle, its 1.0 Difficulty rating was certainly reflective of how much effort I needed to solve this one (and yet I missed out on FTF, haha, clearly I missed the obvious).Regarding the *My Little Sailing Boat Geoart* series, I really enjoyed my Sunday afternoon in the industrial areas of Eagle Farm, Pinkenba and Myrtletown, and it was largely quiet other than a few trucks and Uber drivers / taxis heading between the ports of the cruise terminal and Tangalooma. I think it is a choice area to place the geoart, as it is out of the way and its quieter street network makes it optimal to add geocaches. Furthermore, I felt like there were a few opportunities to add larger-sized containers with the suburbs' factories/industry. To give others an indication of timing, I was able to collect 24 finds in 2:40 hr, commencing at 14:20 hr. The series gets a big thumbs-up! Upon my arrival today, I quickly found the cache on the ground next to the tree, so I placed back in a relevant nook that I thought would be the safest. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I was initially confused when I didnt see the last finder's name in the logbook, but then noted their name much higher up, so perhaps there is some incidental logging date confusion? Thanks [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This afternoon, I had a few hours available whilst baby Cottontail was napping, and a family get-together, so I decided to finally return to the *My Little Sailing Boat Geoart* series having visited the area briefly during its first night of publication. A delightful afternoon with good weather and reasonably quick finds that had my mood in good spirits despite gallivanting around this series solo.
A delayed flight meant I had some time to pick up a few caches in this series. It was dark but it meant I wasnt being watched as I searched by torchlight. Quick find here. Tftc chamad
Cache- I spotted the cache a bit too high for me and was going to use my bike as a ladder but had seen a tool hanging in the tree that was perfect. Puzzle- I followed the instructions and soon had the coordinates.Fun day- Today i decided to go for a bike ride from home to find some of this series. I had to ride past a few because one there was a truck parked right at GZ and the Truckee obviously asleep with the curtains drawn. Another someone pulled up in their car right in front of GZ just as i got there and others i rode past that needed either fishing gear or had off road attribute that i need for November . Also i cant get 2 multis in one day . I ended up going 53km in 5 hours and it is a great place to ride on a weekend so i am looking forward to coming back next month. Thanks chamad for all the fun
Tftc Chamad, weekday is probably not the best choice for these as the area is quite busy.Enjoyed the puzzlesNice geo art
A team up with Gunnie69 today to tackle this geoart. He had them solved, and some of the challenges we both were able to qualify for. So today we made a team effort to make the finds here. We started up top and worked our way down. Some were tricky, like working out on site puzzles, and some were easy straightforward finds - but hey that is all part of the fun of making a find. Was not sure which tree to search, so I checked a previous log and that narrowed it down and aided the retrieval of this one. TFTC
Maybe the only business to be operating today in this area, but thankfully there was plenty of greenery between GZ and the muggles on the other side. The container took a minute or so to track down and NurseyJulie nabbed the find after picking up a hint in a previous log. With all the puzzles solved at home where I could and the challenges checked for qualification, I teamed up with NurseyJulie this morning to pick up what we could. Heading to the furthest point to start, then working our way back toward the big smoke, we managed to get almost every cache on the list, despite spending a chunk of time sorting the multi and unknown caches out at the boat ramp. I was sad to see the multi over there once we had the final coords. Thanks for the variety and some interesting hides Chamad, we had a great morning hunting icons.
I came out to the Pinkenba area, on a quiet Sunday morning, to sign some challenge caches and find some of this series that I managed to solve - more than I would have thought possible! This cache was well out of reach for me but there was a handy Bunnings bucket nearby. Cache retrieved and logbook signed. Tftc
Out finding a few caches with Dora the Explorer! The sailboat geoart was our target for the day. All caches, except one, were quickly located and the logs signed. We enjoyed this series with its variety of puzzles, D/Ts, containers and hides. Thanks, chamad, for the effort involved in this geoart for the enjoyment of all cachers.....and TFTC.
Today's geocaching adventure took me to a most extraordinary place: a heavy industrial area perched alongside the majestic river. What made this expedition truly unique was the fusion of mystery, multi, letterbox, and challenge caches, each ingeniously hidden amidst the gritty industrial landscape.
This power trail was unlike any other, not just because of its diversity but also the added thrill of tree climbs, tree fishing, and exceptional camouflage. It was an adventure lover's paradise!
The relentless buzz of machinery contrasted beautifully with the soothing flow of the nearby river, setting the stage for an unforgettable day of geocaching. As I navigated through the labyrinthine structures, I felt like an urban explorer on a quest for hidden treasures.
Tree climbs and tree fishing were the name of the game in this power trail. Each cache brought its unique challenge - from scaling heights to reaching seemingly impossible places. The adrenaline rush with each find was exhilarating!
Camouflage took on a whole new meaning as these caches were expertly hidden in plain sight, blending seamlessly with their industrial surroundings. It took a keen eye and a patient hand to reveal them.
The logbooks within these caches told tales of fellow adventurers who had dared to tackle this extraordinary trail. I proudly added my geocaching username, the date, and a heartfelt message of gratitude in each logbook.
This power trail was a testament to the ingenuity of the cache owners, who turned an industrial landscape into a geocacher's playground. To them, I extend my utmost appreciation.
As I conclude this epic geocaching journey, I am left with memories of exhilarating climbs, unexpected finds, and the undeniable thrill of urban exploration. Until the next adventure, may your caches be as creative as this one!

Far too busy on a weekday. Came 3 times and always muggled out by smokers sitting on the buckets
As I was earlier for work I decided to grab this cache. Solve earlier in the day. At GZ the cache was found, log signed and replace back then headed towards work.
chamad thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for geocaching community enjoyment.

Some plans were hatched with a local and some Sydney Siders for a 3 day quick caching trip which involved getting the boat out, yaks, mud, poles, ladders, trees etc. Plenty of solving was done and routes plotted. The boat, the MV Grumpy lived up to its name with some cantankerous displays and the need for running repairs on serval occasions so our timetable had to be amended on more than one occasion.
Day 3 was planned to be a land day well with a few trees as well.
This was the last leg, how much of the art work can be collected before the flight in a few hours? The answer is most of it.
A number of us have thought we have previously been the victims of caching identity theft by that mysterious mob called the GOM’s. As a result and given it felt like a bit of a mega the logs were signed MegaGOM. TFTC

On a quick trip North with a few Sydney mates and a colourful local for a few days on the water, in the mud and up the hills, running around grabbing some beaut caches. Much joint puzzle-solving and planning paid off. On day 3, we left the water and mud behind in favour of tall trees, steep hills and a final race around the streets near the airport.
We signed with the space-saving catch-all, “megagom”, in memory of previous exploits.
Thanks chamad.

Together with Crash2079, Baktrak, bella at waggy and a notorious QLDer this was day 3 of the MegaGOM's special edition Brisbane adventure.
Sans the boat today, there were far less mishaps other than losing a certain member of the party for some time.
Caches all found and in good condition.

In two lots TBU1BIKESU and I got all the sailing boat caches - including signing the challenge caches, but I still have to work on them to qualify.
We climbed up trees, fished a lot and bent over to get the cache containers, and signed the log with TBU.

Lovely day out caching with geo friends, and Saturday sure is a good day to be in this industrial landscape, with very little traffic to contend with.I'm getting familiar with these hides now, going full steam ahead, good hide.Thank you, chamad, for placing this cache for our benefit combined with all the hard work, time, and effort you put into the puzzles & hides ????
Tree climbing was required for our junior members. This brought them great joy.

The finders of this series so far seem not to have commented much on the nautical-themed music choices mentioned at the top of each cache page, but I can’t let this one pass.
‘Wooden Ships’ is a brilliant song I’ve had on my playlists for a long time. It’s not so much about sailing as surviving a nuclear attack! Tremendous work from CSN who sang it at Woodstock and well worth a listen if people are unfamiliar with it.
Anyway, the pre-form here has somehow detached but I hooked it back on. I also had to do some dodgy parking here because of the yellow lines everywhere.
TFTC where all seems OK.

After the Sweden, Sweden, Sweden... Bork! Bork!! BORK!!!! event this morning, with a promise of a trip to Officeworks I got Karicka in the car… Beardman75 came along as arm candy after ensuring he had the appropriate footwear on…
So my plans to save these caches for a rainy day went out the window… a fabulous afternoon full of dark humour, reminiscing and man bonding… not to be confused with bondage… that’s different…
Thanks chamad

Noticed that this new piece of geoart earlier this week and managed to get through quiet a few over the last few days. The unfortunately I didn’t have much of a window to get out and pick them up as we had interstate guests to entertain this weekend.
Did however manage to sneak a hour or so in late on Sunday and made quick work of the closest 10 or so caches to home.
Caches all found safe and well and logs quickly signed and returned to there containers.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this series available to be found. I’ll soon be back for the rest.
Cheers

Found this one on the ground. Signed and returned to a lofty position that makes sense with the tether and fits D/T. Thanks for the hide and smiley. Like your containers.
Unfortunately found this on the ground. Have tethered in the most obvious tethering location. Thanks for cache

I had settled down over dinner, hoping to watch the cricket, when I noticed my inbox had been smashed with notifications for this series. I was feeling lazy and opted not to head out chasing them, but instead stayed up late, watching the cricket and solving puzzles.
After a lazy breakfast, I headed out with the intention of snaffling up as many of the first to finds that were still available. With all the available FTF's now claimed, I set about collecting the remainder of the series on my way home.
No problem with the puzzle and am very glad to be spoon fed the puzzle occasionally!
A car was parked very close, so I felt it bit out of place snooping around to grab this one. Thankfully, no one was around. Thanks chamad

I Found it at 9:04pm. A puzzle I could do.
I spotted the new series in the afternoon, but straight after work I had to head to a kids sport / farewell function. After that had finished, I still was keen to find a cache or two, so bundled up the dog and headed over Meeandah way.
This was the first cache I attempted this evening. Parked AT gz, and the quick search began. Cache spotted and the fresh log sheet was signed. Yippee a {FTF}. Did attempt a second, but was just pipped at the post. I wonder if that saying has nautical origins.
Thanks very much for the series Chamad. A favourite point for the effort and the education. I am enjoying reading the cache pages. Cheers
