Back again. NOPE! Too high and I'm way too old.Maybe if I can find a monkey to bring along.
Out with GS1947, Domskey and chamadThanks for creating, placing and maintaining for our enjoyment Party time GCARTY0 - 05 October 2025 Sunshine Coast
In geocaching, there are many opportunities for a good scuttlebutt. It could be a way of putting a friend or foe off the true pathway to find a puzzle or could be leading someone down the wrong garden path. Scuttlebutt! The implications of this were dangerous, so we decided to work on the puzzle by ourselves in case we found ourselves involved in the rumour mill on how to solve it. No scuttlebutting here. Just a nice honest find. Thanks chamad Domsky
Out and about with Kolour after the CITO collecting some of the sailboat caches, many of these have an attribute required for another challenge this month.Arriving at gz we had a look around. Jeepers ... that's high! It looked like it would be manageable so up I went. This was a fun climb, I felt safe while up there. Log signed, all replaced as found. Thanks chamad for the puzzle and cache, enjoying collecting more of this series.
After todays CITO, Willis007 and I met up at Pinkenba to find more of this series, especially those with the off road attribute for a challenge. I found most last November but there were a few that I hadnt solved but with more experience and a little nudge on a couple of them, I had the solved coordinates for all. I had looked at this tree climb a year ago but decided that it was too hard for me, especially on my own. Even though a few people drove by, it was easier to find a park today. The wonderful Willis007 did the tricky climb with a channel billed cuckoo looking on. Logbook signed and replaced as found. Tftc
It was a high climb but not a hard climb at Ground Zero, although Im happy to have been here on a weekend. Anywhere around this area would be pretty busy during the week, and I may have had an audience for my climb. This area has so many old fig trees, which are my favourite trees to climb. My ascent and made easier by the natural rungs placed perfectly along the way.A nice easy puzzle to solve thanks to technology. Thanks for the fun here, chamad
out to finish the last of our solved todaya bit too busy for the tool todaywill be backtb visit
Over visiting from NZ and using the time to do as much caching as other commitments allow. Today I had teamed up with GEM_54 to try and knock off as many of the sailboat series as possible.I'm certainly glad we chose a Sunday to do these ones, as the area was almost deserted and so parking near GZ's was never a problem, but I can imagine how busy it would be on a week day, with lots of workers and heavy traffic.Over half way through the series now and still going strong, managing mostly nice quick finds and no dnf's yet. Jackie spotted this one, but it was pensioner yours truly, that headed up high to sign the log. Unfortunately it was very wet, so with the use of another tott, a replacement log was sent up. TFTC
We are going great today, so far not one dnf. Another gotcha for us . Out and about with Ob8 Ob8 from N.Z. . We replaced the very wet log with a new log sheet and replaced the cache as found. Tftc
7/7/2024 Find #7063Pprime had suggested a few weeks ago the idea of us working on the sailboat puzzle caches out this way. So, as it was holiday time, I figured I could put a little of the grey matter to work and see what I could come up with. And between us we did pretty darned well, I will say. So it was decided that today he and T4mmmy would collect me and we would take a trip over here to claim everything we could, getting me out and about for the last day of my break, before the rude return to work tomorrow. Taking pity on my legs, Pprime monkeyed up faster than lightning to make the grab here. Thanks for the cache chamad.
Accio 10:48:49A lovely day out 'sailing' with T4mmmy and 1MinnimooThanks chamad for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12556}*
Good climb and the cache was easy to spot. Nice container too. I find myself once again in Brisbane for a short visit. After the duties of the day, chasing some caches is certainly a good way of making the best of being in Queenslands caching Mekka. Unfortunately, it is rather rainy this time around, so I am focusing more on the urban caches, just in case the hunt has to be ended sooner rather than later. This was one of the caches I have found during my trip, so thanks chamad for creating the Small sized 2.5/4.5 Mystery Geocache #30 Scuttlebutt.
For some reason I need 4 x T4.5 caches in May for one challenge I have unfulfilled. At the beginning of this month my mind warp remembered 4.5s were needed and a big incorrect assumption thought it was D4.5s. When I rechecked a few challenges for another challenge realised this is just another error I've made and needed to be rectified. So arriving at GZ was greeted with plenty of off street parkers. As there was no candooling going on, eventually figured why they were there. This resulted in parking back down the street then a decent walk to GZ. Spotted the cache up there and it looked do-able without ground support or a TOTT. Got to the right level and had a small shower of ants as the log was uncovered. Thanks for setting up the boat series chamad.
After some useful (rare) professional development I went looking for a few high or rarer DTs before heading to the airport and home to Townsville. Last one before dashing off to refuel the hire car and pass security with boarding imminent. Im in the easy camp here. Up there faster than a rat up a drainpipe. Thanks chamad for fun.
2nd day of collecting this series, and a much drier & quieter day today which allowed for some creative parking at some GZs. A fun series with a variety of different hides, and no DNFs which is a good day. TFTCaches!
This was the only area on our visit today where parking was at a premium. Whatever was going on at Tangalooma had every one in a dizzy. I dropped Mrs Woodyrothwell off to grab the cache and when I drove back she told me it was a tree climb. So in the end I had to park 350 metres away and leg it back which was not enjoyable because it was so fin hot.I didnt know what to expect but on the walk back my wife phoned and first asked what was taking so long and then told me the hide was pretty high for an old man like you. Ive still got a few bedroom tricks up my sleeve that I have been saving for each decade so old was not a word I enjoyed.I made it back and agreed the cache was pretty high. I was already sweaty and uncomfortable which is how Mrs Woodyrothwell refers to my love making online. I didnt want to leave one cache unfound so gripped hard (which is another term my wife uses online) and scaled. The blood was pumping but so was the perspiration. I made it up and even found a place to stamp the log. Then I floated down and caressed the earth with a gentleness that my wife would ever use online to describe my athletics in the cot. tftc
Solved the puzzle. Time to find the cache. We knew this one was muggle prone so we picked hottest day middle of day. Noone around. Perfect. Up to cache. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks Chamad. All good with this cache and puzzle. A favourite from me.
I took a break from work today to come grab just a few of the sailboat series. This one fills a spot on both our mystery-only D/T loop and will help with our next, the 8th, D/T loop. While I'm not keen on heights, this tree looked to be a pretty decent one for climbing so up I went. Getting to the correct height was reasonably easy however I didn't particularly enjoy coming down quite so much Thanks for find #5240TNLN
I am again out caching at 2am in the morning hoping to get just the one find in the time I have available. Luckily, I spotted the cache quickly and climbed up to make a quick find here today for me. Now, back to work. Thanks for the cache.
These puzzles were solved when they first came out and we had a chance to collect our handy work today. We made a questionable parking choice but the plan was to not be here long. A fun climb up to add our name to the log. Having not been told to move on yet we took the opportunity for a photo shoot.Tftc chamadFind #4826
GCA9ZV9 #30 ScuttlebuttOut for a morning of caching with Que Sera and KerriMG to grab some of these sailing boats which had an attribute we were interested in. Also ran into Kolour which was lovely. This was a tricky puzzle that teamwork cracked. Very glad to be in Que Seras company today as she made easy work of this one. Signed as KQNTFTC chamad
I had solved many of this series, some easy and some hard, a couple of months ago. Wanting to find a certain attribute this month for a challenge, I drove out here early hoping to avoid too many people. As it turned out, it was a very busy day as there is a cruise ship at the terminal and lots of fishermen at various locations. Managed to find a park but decided this one was too high for me.
Today KerriMG, Nikid1 and i had hatched a plan to find some off road caches for the November challenge by georode. This puzzle i could get only enough information to then figure out the coordinates but never get them all clear. I had been past here before on my bike to check out the hide and wow it is high. I do love a tree climb and this one even though it is high up it was nice and safe , although i did see 2 broken off branches on the way up . Thanks chamad once again for all the fun
Over the last week IolantheK and me have looking out towards the bay at a little sailing boat with no smilies We decided to try and light it up (well mostly, a few challenges have remained dark )Some were easy, whilst others weren't so much harder but took a while to decode, whilst others required one to get into the mind of the CO In the end I think we managed to solve all but three without assistance (Me thinks some puzzling may require a psychiatry degree, as IolantheK says "purple because aliens" )So with that done we headed out over the last weekend and found and signed a great variety of caches!!*Well done chamad TFTCs*
T-Tech and I headed out again this afternoon to see if we could finish off this series This one took longer to solve than it should have, and I even called in a hint T-Tech did the hard yards at GZ. TFTC, chamad.
This series' puzzles were interesting and a great tutorial for those learning the different types. I was able to recognise most puzzles, and then had to research a few others on the typical puzzle-solving websites. Regarding this puzzle, a small nudge was required in order to understand its decryption technique.Regarding the *My Little Sailing Boat Geoart* series, I really enjoyed my Sunday afternoon in the industrial areas of Eagle Farm, Pinkenba and Myrtletown, and it was largely quiet other than a few trucks and Uber drivers / taxis heading between the ports of the cruise terminal and Tangalooma. I think it is a choice area to place the geoart, as it is out of the way and its quieter street network makes it optimal to add geocaches. Furthermore, I felt like there were a few opportunities to add larger-sized containers with the suburbs' factories/industry. To give others an indication of timing, I was able to collect 24 finds in 2:40 hr, commencing at 14:20 hr. The series gets a big thumbs-up! I was originally going to call it time prior to this cache, but I did want to target the high D-T geocaches just in case my return was in the dark. Consequently, I added this cache to my list, and before I knew it, I only had a few left to then knock over those available caches that I had to find. My parking at this cache was questionable at best, and who would have known that this particular area/street was going to be busy in the afternoon of a weekend (ok, that should have been obvious). Nevertheless, a fun climb up to the cache, and another terrific cache 3D printing. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. A Favourite Point for the memorable experience and cache construction; Thanks [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This afternoon, I had a few hours available whilst baby Cottontail was napping, and a family get-together, so I decided to finally return to the *My Little Sailing Boat Geoart* series having visited the area briefly during its first night of publication. A delightful afternoon with good weather and reasonably quick finds that had my mood in good spirits despite gallivanting around this series solo.
Tftc Chamad, weekday is probably not the best choice for these as the area is quite busy.Enjoyed the puzzlesNice geo art
A team up with Gunnie69 today to tackle this geoart. He had them solved, and some of the challenges we both were able to qualify for. So today we made a team effort to make the finds here. We started up top and worked our way down. Some were tricky, like working out on site puzzles, and some were easy straightforward finds - but hey that is all part of the fun of making a find. A little bit busy here, but fortunately there was no-one needing to make use of the nearby business. However there was a couple of cars nearby so we parked up close and alongside the GZ whilst Gunnie made the climb. TFTC
Parking proved to be a challenge here on a long weekend, but with that sorted NurseyJulie spotted the tiny cache all the way up there, and I commenced the ascent to add our names to the log. Not too much trouble with the climb, but I did feel a little unstable at the top while trying to remove the log and etch our names. Plenty of muggles passing by, none of which had any idea what was going on. With all the puzzles solved at home where I could and the challenges checked for qualification, I teamed up with NurseyJulie this morning to pick up what we could. Heading to the furthest point to start, then working our way back toward the big smoke, we managed to get almost every cache on the list, despite spending a chunk of time sorting the multi and unknown caches out at the boat ramp. I was sad to see the multi over there once we had the final coords. Thanks for the variety and some interesting hides Chamad, we had a great morning hunting icons.
Out finding a few caches with Dora the Explorer! The sailboat geoart was our target for the day. All caches, except one, were quickly located and the logs signed. We enjoyed this series with its variety of puzzles, D/Ts, containers and hides. Thanks, chamad, for the effort involved in this geoart for the enjoyment of all cachers.....and TFTC.
Today's geocaching adventure took me to a most extraordinary place: a heavy industrial area perched alongside the majestic river. What made this expedition truly unique was the fusion of mystery, multi, letterbox, and challenge caches, each ingeniously hidden amidst the gritty industrial landscape.
This power trail was unlike any other, not just because of its diversity but also the added thrill of tree climbs, tree fishing, and exceptional camouflage. It was an adventure lover's paradise!
The relentless buzz of machinery contrasted beautifully with the soothing flow of the nearby river, setting the stage for an unforgettable day of geocaching. As I navigated through the labyrinthine structures, I felt like an urban explorer on a quest for hidden treasures.
Tree climbs and tree fishing were the name of the game in this power trail. Each cache brought its unique challenge - from scaling heights to reaching seemingly impossible places. The adrenaline rush with each find was exhilarating!
Camouflage took on a whole new meaning as these caches were expertly hidden in plain sight, blending seamlessly with their industrial surroundings. It took a keen eye and a patient hand to reveal them.
The logbooks within these caches told tales of fellow adventurers who had dared to tackle this extraordinary trail. I proudly added my geocaching username, the date, and a heartfelt message of gratitude in each logbook.
This power trail was a testament to the ingenuity of the cache owners, who turned an industrial landscape into a geocacher's playground. To them, I extend my utmost appreciation.
As I conclude this epic geocaching journey, I am left with memories of exhilarating climbs, unexpected finds, and the undeniable thrill of urban exploration. Until the next adventure, may your caches be as creative as this one!

On a short break from work today I jumped in the geowagon and headed out to pick up a few caches to help clear my mind.
On arrival a safe place to park the car was found and after a short walk, I soon laid my hands on the cache and made my mark on the log before safely returning the cache back in its hides hole.
Quick walk back to the car and I was quickly off to grab another in the series.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this series available for fellow cachers to find.
Cheers

Day 3 of MegaGOM boating and tree fishing expedition with **bella at waggy**, **Baktrak**, **Purplepeopleater** and an anonymous local.
After 2 days on the water, it was time to remain on terra firma. But we still caught some fish, and for some, it was a big slog up a steep hill. Towards the end of the day, it was a mad dash mopping up around the airport and still managing to get through security on time.
Enjoyed all the caches and the company was reasonable as well.

Some plans were hatched with a local and some Sydney Siders for a 3 day quick caching trip which involved getting the boat out, yaks, mud, poles, ladders, trees etc. Plenty of solving was done and routes plotted. The boat, the MV Grumpy lived up to its name with some cantankerous displays and the need for running repairs on serval occasions so our timetable had to be amended on more than one occasion.
Day 3 was planned to be a land day well with a few trees as well.
This was the last leg, how much of the art work can be collected before the flight in a few hours? The answer is most of it.
A number of us have thought we have previously been the victims of caching identity theft by that mysterious mob called the GOM’s. As a result and given it felt like a bit of a mega the logs were signed MegaGOM. TFTC

On a quick trip North with a few Sydney mates and a colourful local for a few days on the water, in the mud and up the hills, running around grabbing some beaut caches. Much joint puzzle-solving and planning paid off. On day 3, we left the water and mud behind in favour of tall trees, steep hills and a final race around the streets near the airport.
We signed with the space-saving catch-all, “megagom”, in memory of previous exploits.
Thanks chamad.

Lovely day out caching with geo friends, and Saturday sure is a good day to be in this industrial landscape, with very little traffic to contend with.Wow, this looks rather high, well its no problem for TBU1Bikesu, who volunteered to climb up the mask, and with log signed, we moved on our merry way.Thank you, chamad, for placing this cache for our benefit combined with all the hard work, time, and effort you put into the puzzles & hides ????
TFTC smile 16676 ?? out and about on a lovely day ?? sign as GS1947 on small logs Signed and replaced?? FP Thank you, chamad, for placing this cache for our enjoyment. ????
TBU went out on a geocaching tour to Pinkenba with Snickersallan and Grannysmith1947 to get the remaining Geoart Sailing boat caches.
We spotted this one, Monkey Susan went up and we signed the log.

The geoboys asked for a tree climb. Started here. They are definitely out of practice because the nerves kicked in. I went half way to show the way which thankfully motivated them because there was no way I was going that high!

I used to sing this song in an a capella vocal group: pretty fun.
This puzzle stumped me until I realised what the hint was saying: very witty!
I arrived at Gz today (public holiday) and parked quasi-legally on a patch of grass nearby.
This is my kind of climb! Pretty challenging in height but lots of straightforward steps. Just need to avoid dead branches, of which there are a few.
Cache is fine (needed to concentrate so as not to drop anything from that kind of height) so TFTC!

Out caching with Peppa and BM75, really we went looking a JP and an open Officeworks, but the winding roads took us to a whole lot of other places instead

After the Sweden, Sweden, Sweden... Bork! Bork!! BORK!!!! event this morning, with a promise of a trip to Officeworks I got Karicka in the car… Beardman75 came along as arm candy after ensuring he had the appropriate footwear on…
So my plans to save these caches for a rainy day went out the window… a fabulous afternoon full of dark humour, reminiscing and man bonding… not to be confused with bondage… that’s different…
This puzzle just wouldn’t co-operate… we saw glimpses, but even putting on rose coloured glasses didn’t really help… if you squint really hard…
Beardman75 was already up the tree by the time Karicka and I shuffled across the road…
Thanks chamad

Out today with RoddyC hatzofff Imbunda and Echocage1 to grab as many of these sailboat caches as we can. Early start and little traffic to interfere with our caching adventures.
Took a bit to get a solve on this puzzle but got there in the end. At gz we craned our necks looking for the cache and once spotted, it was up to me to make the climb. Carefully making sure of 3 points of contact on the climb, I had no trouble and signed the log Geo 5. What a thrill!! Fav point from me.

We brought the pole for this and then saw it was not a tree fishing. A tree climb in a dress required the dress to go into the shorts. My height was just sufficient to log this printed cache. Thanks for the hide, exercise and smiley.
Good puzzle to work on another in this series that was a little difficult to spot and with teamwork conquered. Thanks for the cache.
We made an after dinner foray to the area to pick up another cache in this wonderful geoart. I chose this one to help towards a challenge. Parking was a breeze at this hour and we were soon at GZ gazing skyward with torches alight. This ended up being a team effort as Mr DisSister made the climb to retrieve it after I managed to spot it from the ground. Thanks chamad
{*FTF*} with Muggle65 and Brislions today. We expected the logs to be signed for this already so it was a surprise to see a blank logbook. We did a bit of solving together last night in preparation for a few finds today. Thank you for the fun ??
Out early because CO inserted a number of new caches into the community late yesterday & other cachers were gratuitous to allow me & my compatriots grab a couple of Joint {*FTF*}’s.
The joint find was in the company of Brislions Bris & The Green Geckos.

I had settled down over dinner, hoping to watch the cricket, when I noticed my inbox had been smashed with notifications for this series. I was feeling lazy and opted not to head out chasing them, but instead stayed up late, watching the cricket and solving puzzles.
I managed to piece enough of this one together to be able to sort out coordinates, but I don't think I quite had the right cipher.
After a lazy breakfast, I headed out with the intention of snaffling up as many of the first to finds that were still available.
This one had been on my possible FTF list, but I was beaten to it early on in the morning and directed my attention elsewhere. With all the available FTF's now claimed, I set about collecting the remainder of the series on my way home.
Again, it was all quiet here. After not spotting this from the ground, I ventured higher, and then a bit higher and finally spotted it above me. I like nice solid tree climb like this - easy climbing, but high enough to have consequences!
Many thanks chamad
