I have spent a bit of time over the last couple of weeks trying to solve all of the puzzles for this geo art series. Today I had a couple of hours spare between family commitments so I headed over the gateway to Pinkenba to squeeze in as many finds as I could.Nice puzzle which was translated using an online decoder, which sped up the process immensely. At GZ I spied the container at a good height, and was able to retrieve and replace without issue. A great secluded spot for a tree fish. All is good with the log sheet. Thanks very much for the cache placement and creation of the series Chamad. A truly super effort. Cheers

Over visiting from NZ and using the time to do as much caching as other commitments allow. Today I had teamed up with GEM_54 to try and knock off as many of the sailboat series as possible.I'm certainly glad we chose a Sunday to do these ones, as the area was almost deserted and so parking near GZ's was never a problem, but I can imagine how busy it would be on a week day, with lots of workers and heavy traffic.Part of the benefit of teaming up with some great locals, is that they had the right tott for caches such as this one. A bit of swaying in the breeze and our names were soon on the log. TFTC

We spotted what we were after, and out with the pole ,and a bit of hard work we had it done and dusted.

7/7/2024 Find #7078Pprime had suggested a few weeks ago the idea of us working on the sailboat puzzle caches out this way. So, as it was holiday time, I figured I could put a little of the grey matter to work and see what I could come up with. And between us we did pretty darned well, I will say. So it was decided that today he and T4mmmy would collect me and we would take a trip over here to claim everything we could, getting me out and about for the last day of my break, before the rude return to work tomorrow. We decided to stop for a bite to eat and something to drink, heading back to the pub. Once we had revived ourselves a little, we headed here to continue our day and made a quick find. Thanks for the cache chamad.

I have had this puzzle solved for a long time and today i needed to fill my calendar for a challenge i signed in New Zealand to fill a year of puzzles . Today i knew where this cache was as i went past it on a bike ride one day and did not have the required TOTT. Today it meant a quick hook and fish for this cache. Thanks chamad for all the fun

Out and about for our second day of caching on the northside and today's area was over near the airport. Quite a variety to keep us busy and we were able to keep out of the showers most of the time later in the day. Thanks to all the COs.

I was in the area finding some caches that were on my list for some different Challenges, as well as one needed for my next loop. Although this one wasn't on my original list, it wasn't far away from where I was, so I ducked over with my trusty TOTT and fished for a cache.Nice and easy find at GZ, although the mozzies were pretty fierce. The puzzle was also fairly easy, with the help of a different type of TOTT.Thanks, chamad. I'll get to the rest another time.

02-Mar-24
Thanks for the series chamad and arranging this hide. Had the right tool with us.

Spent a few hours out here collecting caches this morning. Had some trouble with a few due to the recent rain, but Ardom brought his kayak boots and happily sloshed through the puddles A nice variety of caches collected so far. Im looking forward to coming back to collect the rest! TFTPuzzles and caches!

Once I found all the parts for my TOTT from my car boot (there is far too many useful things in there!), this was a quick find! TFTC.

I had an afternoon free today so headed over to find a few more of Chamad's Sailboat Art. After the downpours almost all day yesterday, today was a lovely fine day and remarkably quiet for such an industrial area. What I want to know is why is the sun always in the worst possible location when I'm trying to fish the container down? Thanks for find #5297TNLN

Because of the heat we were happy there werent many long walks required. Like they say: if you cant stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. If you are someone that likes their meat cooked well-done, then definitely stay out of the kitchen and for that matter try to stay out of space-time continuum altogether. We used to meet an uncle of mine at the RSL for rump dinner and he always had to have it cooked well-done. I couldnt work out why he would always some poor piece of meat cooked within an inch of its life. Then one night he choked on a bit whilst my medium-rare slipped down my throat. While he went to hospital for wanting his meat tougher than jerky, I wiped the blood off my plate with the chips. So heat aside, it wasnt the worst walk to GZ. There was some tree cover, some cloud cover, and someone fielding at cover point. Mrs Woodyrothwell sent up the pole and not only came down with the cache, but also the branch it was hanging on. I called her an environmental vandal for breaking a piece of dead wood and she told me to choke on some over cooked steak. tftc

As I was passing by I tested my skills to see if I could spot this one. I could indeed see it but I dont have the necessary TOTT (maybe one day).

25-Nov-23
With an appointment in the morning and a concert at night, there was plenty of time for some caching in the middle. We made this geoart our main target for the day having stayed up until all hours of the morning solving the puzzles. We did not check the attributes before getting to GZrookie mistake. We located the cache but then I had to go back to the car to retrieve the tool while JDavs waited and made sure it didnt move. Tftc chamadFind #4844

I had solved many of this series, some easy and some hard, a couple of months ago. Wanting to find a certain attribute this month for a challenge, I drove out here early hoping to avoid too many people. As it turned out, it was a very busy day as there is a cruise ship at the terminal and lots of fishermen at various locations. At at a few of the caches I bumped into nikid1, KerriMG and Que Sera who had the same idea.I wasn't sure if my 8m pole would reach this one but I saw the cache on approach and it was an easy retrieval and replace in a quiet location. Tftc

Over the last week IolantheK and me have looking out towards the bay at a little sailing boat with no smilies We decided to try and light it up (well mostly, a few challenges have remained dark )Some were easy, whilst others weren't so much harder but took a while to decode, whilst others required one to get into the mind of the CO In the end I think we managed to solve all but three without assistance (Me thinks some puzzling may require a psychiatry degree, as IolantheK says "purple because aliens" )So with that done we headed out over the last weekend and found and signed a great variety of caches!!*Well done chamad TFTCs*

12-Nov-23
T-Tech and I headed out again this afternoon to see if we could finish off this series A familiar code, and a quick find at GZ. TFTC, chamad.

29-Oct-23
This series' puzzles were interesting and a great tutorial for those learning the different types. I was able to recognise most puzzles, and then had to research a few others on the typical puzzle-solving websites. Regarding this puzzle, a familiar code that didn't take long in making its decipher.Regarding the *My Little Sailing Boat Geoart* series, I really enjoyed my Sunday afternoon in the industrial areas of Eagle Farm, Pinkenba and Myrtletown, and it was largely quiet other than a few trucks and Uber drivers / taxis heading between the ports of the cruise terminal and Tangalooma. I think it is a choice area to place the geoart, as it is out of the way and its quieter street network makes it optimal to add geocaches. Furthermore, I felt like there were a few opportunities to add larger-sized containers with the suburbs' factories/industry. To give others an indication of timing, I was able to collect 24 finds in 2:40 hr, commencing at 14:20 hr. The series gets a big thumbs-up! I parked my car to the south-east, and then proceeded to walk towards GZ. It was my first time that I checked the puzzle/hint upon my arrival, and immediately realised my blunder that I walked TOTT-less. I made sure to spot the prize so my return wasn't completely pointless, and with that realised, I made another jog back/forth. The retrieval and placement went without issue, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This afternoon, I had a few hours available whilst baby Cottontail was napping, and a family get-together, so I decided to finally return to the *My Little Sailing Boat Geoart* series having visited the area briefly during its first night of publication. A delightful afternoon with good weather and reasonably quick finds that had my mood in good spirits despite gallivanting around this series solo.

I was in the area today so I decided to take a short detour to grab a couple of caches prior to heading home. This was spotted easily enough but it took a little longer to retrieve and replace. All is good with this cache.TFTC

A team up with Gunnie69 today to tackle this geoart. He had them solved, and some of the challenges we both were able to qualify for. So today we made a team effort to make the finds here. We started up top and worked our way down. Some were tricky, like working out on site puzzles, and some were easy straightforward finds - but hey that is all part of the fun of making a find. As we ventured off to make the find here, I noted we needed a TOTT, back Gunnie went to the car and retrieved it. I spotted the cache on approach and guided Gunnie to retrieve it and replace. TFTC

After parking the car up and heading across the road, I realised we were about to head into the bush without the potentially required TOTT... Surprised So, swiftly back over I armed myself with what I suspected we would need and into the greenery we went. On arrival at GZ NurseyJulie spied the container and we were both very pleased the necessary equipment was on hand. Big GrinWith all the puzzles solved at home where I could and the challenges checked for qualification, I teamed up with NurseyJulie this morning to pick up what we could. Heading to the furthest point to start, then working our way back toward the big smoke, we managed to get almost every cache on the list, despite spending a chunk of time sorting the multi and unknown caches out at the boat ramp. Red Face I was sad to see the multi over there once we had the final cords. SadThanks for the variety and some interesting hides Chamad, we had a great morning hunting icons. Smile

Out finding a few caches with Dora the Explorer! The sailboat geoart was our target for the day. All caches, except one, were quickly located and the logs signed. We enjoyed this series with its variety of puzzles, D/Ts, containers and hides. Thanks, chamad, for the effort involved in this geoart for the enjoyment of all cachers.....and TFTC.

Down in SEQ for a few days to celebrate the life of a caching ambassador and a great friend Karicka.

Back in BrisVegas to grab some rare DT targets today with BenM70 and greencordial.

Another quick grab here. Thanks chamad for adding to my day.

16-Sep-23
I was instructed that this was a good D/T to get. Does the CO know much about D/T loops?

Thank you chamad for placing this cache for me to enjoy!

16-Sep-23
I was feeling a bit out of sorts this morning. A bit more scattered than usual. Hoping a few more caches will sort that out. Maybe a tree fish to focus on something was the answer. Nope, but it got our three names in the log and at least something was smiling at the end of it
Thanks chamad for placing this Mystery for my find # 4463

Today's geocaching adventure took me to a most extraordinary place: a heavy industrial area perched alongside the majestic river. What made this expedition truly unique was the fusion of mystery, multi, letterbox, and challenge caches, each ingeniously hidden amidst the gritty industrial landscape.

This power trail was unlike any other, not just because of its diversity but also the added thrill of tree climbs, tree fishing, and exceptional camouflage. It was an adventure lover's paradise!

The relentless buzz of machinery contrasted beautifully with the soothing flow of the nearby river, setting the stage for an unforgettable day of geocaching. As I navigated through the labyrinthine structures, I felt like an urban explorer on a quest for hidden treasures.

Tree climbs and tree fishing were the name of the game in this power trail. Each cache brought its unique challenge - from scaling heights to reaching seemingly impossible places. The adrenaline rush with each find was exhilarating!

Camouflage took on a whole new meaning as these caches were expertly hidden in plain sight, blending seamlessly with their industrial surroundings. It took a keen eye and a patient hand to reveal them.

The logbooks within these caches told tales of fellow adventurers who had dared to tackle this extraordinary trail. I proudly added my geocaching username, the date, and a heartfelt message of gratitude in each logbook.

This power trail was a testament to the ingenuity of the cache owners, who turned an industrial landscape into a geocacher's playground. To them, I extend my utmost appreciation.

As I conclude this epic geocaching journey, I am left with memories of exhilarating climbs, unexpected finds, and the undeniable thrill of urban exploration. Until the next adventure, may your caches be as creative as this one!

Out and about picking up a few newer caches down around the airport, hearing the planes thunder overhead.

Was wondering how a cache could have wheelchair friendly, tree fishing, and wading required attributes all at once, but now I know!

After my usual Tuesday morning kid drop at Nundah, I continued on to this area. It was a beautiful day for a walk so I decided to park at the far end of the trail and enjoy the stroll through to GZ. I imagine this would be quite an eerie place to walk through on a misty morning. On arrival, the cache was spotted quickly. TOTT deployed for retrieval and replacement without a problem. Thanks chamad

#7358

Day 3 of MegaGOM boating and tree fishing expedition with **bella at waggy**, **Baktrak**, **Purplepeopleater** and an anonymous local.

After 2 days on the water, it was time to remain on terra firma. But we still caught some fish, and for some, it was a big slog up a steep hill. Towards the end of the day, it was a mad dash mopping up around the airport and still managing to get through security on time.

Enjoyed all the caches and the company was reasonable as well.

On a quick trip North with a few Sydney mates and a colourful local for a few days on the water, in the mud and up the hills, running around grabbing some beaut caches. Much joint puzzle-solving and planning paid off. On day 3, we left the water and mud behind in favour of tall trees, steep hills and a final race around the streets near the airport.
We signed with the space-saving catch-all, “megagom”, in memory of previous exploits.
Thanks chamad.

27-Aug-23
Some plans were hatched with a local and some Sydney Siders for a 3 day quick caching trip which involved getting the boat out, yaks, mud, poles, ladders, trees etc. Plenty of solving was done and routes plotted. The boat, the MV Grumpy lived up to its name with some cantankerous displays and the need for running repairs on serval occasions so our timetable had to be amended on more than one occasion.
Day 3 was planned to be a land day well with a few trees as well.
This was the last leg, how much of the art work can be collected before the flight in a few hours? The answer is most of it.
A number of us have thought we have previously been the victims of caching identity theft by that mysterious mob called the GOM’s. As a result and given it felt like a bit of a mega the logs were signed MegaGOM. TFTC

27-Aug-23
Together with Crash2079, Baktrak, bella at waggy and a notorious QLDer this was day 3 of the MegaGOM's special edition Brisbane adventure.
Sans the boat today, there were far less mishaps other than losing a certain member of the party for some time.

Caches all found and in good condition.

Lovely day out caching with geo friends, and Saturday sure is a good day to be in this industrial landscape, with very little traffic to contend with.
I am so pleased to get some more tree fishing practise, nice and firm retrival here, and returned as found.

Thank you, chamad, for placing this cache for our benefit combined with all the hard work, time, and effort you put into the puzzles & hides ️

I’m listening to Southern Cross by CSNY as I write this… I saw them sing it in Brisbane many years ago. RIP David Crosby…
Today was the day to get out my neglected tree-pole and boy oh boy, I’m glad I bought a long one.
I reckon this cache is the highest I’ve ever attempted… but fortunately the pole was up to the challenge. Wow.
All good inside so TFTC. Replaced as found.

Out caching with Peppa and BM75, really we went looking a JP and an open Officeworks, but the winding roads took us to a whole lot of other places instead

HMAS Ronaldo brought us safely to our next port of call, on my way to my next DT llop

Thank you for this cache Chamad

After the Sweden, Sweden, Sweden... Bork! Bork!! BORK!!!! event this morning, with a promise of a trip to Officeworks I got Karicka in the car… Beardman75 came along as arm candy after ensuring he had the appropriate footwear on…

So my plans to save these caches for a rainy day went out the window… a fabulous afternoon full of dark humour, reminiscing and man bonding… not to be confused with bondage… that’s different…

I tried hard to get Renaldo as close as possible, but no amount of sport mode count get me past the yellow barrier… I wasn’t willing to through on two wheels…

It’s always entertaining to watch Queensland’s #1 puzzle finder in action …

Thanks chamad

Out today with RoddyC hatzofff Imbunda and Echocage1 to grab as many of these sailboat caches as we can. Traffic building up along this road as there probably is a cruise ship in Port.

Parked near the entrance to this parkland and once at gz spied the cache. Used RoddyC's pole as it is much longer but still has to stretch. Log signed as Geo 5.

On a short break from work today I jumped in the geowagon and headed out to pick up a few recently placed caches in this new piece of geoart close to home.

On arrival a safe place to park the car was found and after a short walk, I soon laid my hands on the cache and made my mark on the log before safely returning the cache back in its hides hole.

Quick walk back to the car and I was quickly off to grab another in the series.

A big thanks to the cache owner for making this series available for fellow cachers to find.

Cheers

I figured I would use a free hour this afternoon to clean up the last few solved but not found caches in this series.

My phones GPS was playing up in this bit of bush this afternoon. Whilst waiting for the acuracy to improve, I read a few logs. I just happened to notice something on the path that matched the previous finders photo. So I knew I was in the right spot. Why are these things always placed so you looking straight into the sun. My fishing pole made short work getting this one done, but as the previous finder mentioned, the attachment is now quite short, so it took me a bit longer to return it.

Many thanks chamad

Partner got the cache down in one go, getting it back up was hindered by the decreased length of the location after first attempt to return. Another 4 goes by me and it is back up there but the CO may wish to check he is happy for I fear it may fall fowl in bad weather. Thanks for the hide and smiley.

With some help from a famous inspector. The puzzle was solved. Pleasant stroll to gz where our tool was not present. Quick trip back to vehicle and cache was at ground level. Log signed and cache returned to tethering location which now is a little shorter. Amputation in photo. Thanks for hide

Checking out chamad's boat series, I noticed this particular cache for it's D/T, one I need to complete a challenge. I worked out the co-ords last night and planned on an early start to find a few of the new caches. Arriving at gz I spotted the cache straight away but immediately doubted my TOTT would help. I was super happy to be able to reach the cache, after I got it to ground, completed the signing duties, I popped the cache back where it came from.
Thanks chamad for the great new series, looking forward to collecting some others. A FP for me as I am so glad to now have the other challenge completed!
