Glad to get this one logged before it's too late. This house is located only about 4 or 5 away from mine, but wouldn't you know, I'd wait 'til the last minute to log it!
It is a double octagon house. There are two octagons, attached with a center section. It is a custom built house, about 15 years old.

This was on private property at the back of the main house. It is a stand alone building and I couldn't figure out just what it was used for but you can see by the roof line that it is octagonal. It was starting to get dark when I saw it and got turned around to take the picture. I was surprised the pictures came out as clear as they did.
This is a church in New Castle, Indiana. An addition has been added in the past, but the octagonal shape still follows through in the hallway where the addition attaches.
This octagonal-shaped building is the Metropolitan Toronto Police Headquarters on Bay Street, just a few steps from where I work.
In Cheektowaga, NY.
It is part of a Chaple and mausoleum.
There is another one on the property, if any one needs one to log.

Found this one on an decommishined Air Force base in Sacramento Cal. Little yellow is proud to be in the pic. Thanks, Cache On!
This house is located in Mars Hill Maine. There are tow eight sided homes built by the same person. I have always wonder why any one would build a small home of this type as there appears to be so much wasted space but I have never been inside either so I really don't know. The cache did make me look at it a little more carefully. The photo is not very good so I will try to get a better next time I go by the house. In this one not all the sides are the same which give the house a strange look.
Found while looking for a multi-cache in this area. It is one of the oldest windmill in Trois-Rivières and has been moved to be reconstructed on the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières’s campus according to the original design. It has an 8 sided roof…

This is in the City of Monessen, PA. Monessen is named for many of the imigrants that moved into the area to become steel workers from Essen, Germany. Monessen is located on the Monongahela River. So you get Mon-Essen or Monessen. The building is actually an retirement home - we call it the tower. Enjoy the photos.

This rather unique home even bills itself as the Octagon House. It's located on the Chain of Lakes vacation area just outside of Waupaca, WI. We would have loved to check it out more, but it is a private residence.
This house in Oneonta, NY was built in 1870 as a single family home. Now cut up into apartments. Is on the corner of Grand and Division Streets.

Found an octagon building in the middle of a square in Newport Village off of Ioco Rd. in Port Moody, B.C. Canada. It houses a bakery & deli, grocery & florist shop. Picture not too good as taken at night, but I was so excited to come across it while on our weekend visit to the BC coast.
Built in 1880, the Galveston Garten Verin's, a social club,is situated among Kempner Park's five acres. Visitors welcome.
We found this Octagon Shaped Building along the Pacific Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, California. It is part of a house and has a beautiful ocean view from the property. Thanks for the fun search.
The octagon I found was in Peachland, B.C., Canada. It was built in 1910 and was used as a Baptist Church for 50 years. Now it is the Peachland Museum. Location is: 5890 Beach Av. (requirement for Coin Quest Game)
Octagonal home in the Alviso area of norther San Jose, California. The roof is even more ambitions, appearing to have maybe 20-40 sides! It's a peculiar home but at least it's more interesting than the usual boring subdivisions so prevalent around here.
I found this octagon building at a farm for children in Neuss, a city near Düsseldorf, Northrhine-Westfalia, Germany.

We have driven past the site for weeks now wondering what they were building. As it final started to take shape we found out they were erecting a new church. Today my wife noticed it had a weird shape to it. We stopped and looked and lo and behold it is an Octagon shaped church. Really neat. The church sign has not be erected yet but will update the log with a picture when they do.
We found our octagonal building in the dark while looking for another cache in Ottawa. Check out the pictures and TFTH.
Don't know if you will accept it but I take a chance...)))
This building is very interesting: it's an old Waterman Fountain Pen Company factory located in the old St.Lambert, Quebec, Canada. Actually, his restoration is almost completed and it's know a deluxe condo building.
You can see the octagon structure. I don't know why originally they put this on the rooftop of this factory. Anyway, know, it's either the ceiling of the stairs or a part of a deluxe penthouse))

This is the second of two octagonal structures in Williams Park, Brownsburg Indiana. There are numerous octagonal picnic shelters also. Also, a rocket themed playground called Blast Off. If you check the coords for my find with Google Earth, you will see that this park is labeled as a possible missle site.
It is the home to several other traditional caches, a multi cache and a CD exchange ammo box cache.

This is the Harnsberger Octagonal Barn, also known as the Mount Meridian Octagonal Barn, near Grottoes Virginia (it can be seen from the intersection of VA 256 and VA 895; you can get closer by travelling down VA 772 to VA 769. It is privately owned, so the coordinates are from the where I took the picture without the GPS.
It's a challenge to find an octagonal building in Belgium.
Reviewing the web we could find this link http://bruxelles-balade.be/news/62.shtml
This is a gothic well from the XVth century
The building is situated in the Egmont park, a nice quiet place near the fashionable areas of the city

On the way home today my SIL and I saw this coffee shop - had to flip a quick U-turn to log this nifty 8-sided building.
Sturgeon Point Ontario Canada. This beautiful octagonal church, constructed entirely of wood and glass, was the site of my daughter's wedding in 2004. Built in 1915, little has changed about the structure - there is still no heat, plumbing or running water. Services are only held during July and August. The full history is given on the plaque located just outside the church. I have included a picture of the plaque with my log.

I found this octagon building in English park of Krasny Dvur Chateau in Czech republic. This building is one of the romantic structures placed in the park - this one is commemorated to well-know German poet J.W. Goethe, who personally visited the park. Thanks for the cache
Found this Octogonal Building while doing a cache in the area. We don't know the history but it is currently being used as an apartment house. Pretty neat structure. lakeman&tagalong

This house is located at HÃ¥nes outside Kristiansand in southern Norway. The funny thing about this one (there are actually two next to each other) is that it can turn around its centre, so that for example the sun always is in a favourable position!

Aurora, Oregon. This Octagon House is a beautiful residence located accross from a city park. It looks like a fun place to live - sort of a treehouse for adults.

There is a group of octagonal buildings in Cassiobury Park in Watford, England. Their uses include changing rooms for the paddling pool and a Snack hut (attached). We have not included a GPS shot (we forgot!) but as proof that we were caching at this location, we have logged the multi-cache "Hornets Hide 12 - Cassiobury Park" and this is Waypoint 1 in that multi. We completed and logged this cache on this same date.
Location: Abtei Marienstatt, Westerwaldkreis, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany
We found this octagonal building named "Kriegerkapelle Marienstatt" on our way to the cache "Valentinstag #3" (GCMRWR). It is located near the Cistercian Abbey of Marienstatt in the Westerwaldkreis district of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
You can find more information about the abbey (German language only) in the German Wikipedia http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abtei_Marienstatt or at the abbey's website http://www.abtei-marienstatt.de .
The "Kriegerkapelle" (Warriors' Chapel), built in 1935/36, was dedicated to the memory of the local soldiers who were killed in action during World War I. A memorial plaque dedicated to the local soldiers who were killed in action during World War II was added later.
Nowadays, the people who pray there are encouraged to pray for peace, so that the chapel may now serve as a "Friedenskapelle" (Peace Chapel).
We apologize for the bad picture quality, but our digicam was running out of batteries when we got there, so we had to use Sanne's mobile phone in order to take the required pictures.
Thanks for the cache!

This is the office for a contractor that builds octagon buildings in NW Florida. The building is in Panama City, FL. TFTC.
This Ocatgon Building ist the tower of the Ruin Hohenegg (Dunkelsteiner Wald, Austria). The former Castle Hohenegg dates back at least to the middle of the 12th century when the Graf v. Poigen-Rebgau was the authenticated owner from 1140 to 1188. The most famous owner was Raimund von Montecuccoli (1609-1680). In contemporary publications it was described as the "Pearl of Austria" so it must have been a wunderful building.
Sorry to say: After removing the roof tiles the castle more and more went to rack and ruin into it´s current state.
As you can see on the fotos the base of the tower is four-sided, but the main part is that octagonal tower which daomitates the landscape of the whole area.
Happy Caching

The Octagon house I found is located on Makyes Road, Onondaga Hill near Syracuse, NY. This house is rather unique as it is circular at the base but the sides are octagonal and it appears not to have a basement which is almost unheard of in the cold North. It also sits off of the ground.
I found this clocktower beside a church in southwest of Sweden. The church is from 1200 century.
This is a small restaurant and bar in the 1st district of Vienna, Austria. It blends in into the trees with its unique roof, has doors and windows and is a great hangout in the evenings.

This octagon building is located near Downtown Buffalo, NY. I'm guessing it's an office building of some-sorts.

Wow! What a beautiful house!!! Now let's get real. There's no possible way to search through over 900 logs to see if THIS house has been listed already, so if so, I'm very sorry. But it IS beautiful! Now turned into a Bed & Breakfast, it was built in 1870 by William Randall. It supposedly had an octagon carriage house, but I didn't see it there. It's listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and is also a Michigan Centennial Farm. Here is an excerpt about it:
"The William Randall House is a two-story, balloon frame, Octagon house surmounted by an octagonal cupola. A one-and-one-half-story, rectangular, gabled wing projects from one side and a single-story porch surrounds the other sides. Each level is ornamented with a denticulated cornice and the sash windows are elaborated with hoods. The William Randall House is a well-preserved and unusual example of one of the few octagon houses in Michigan. Unlike typical octagon houses, the main body of the Randall House was built onto an existing gabled structure and placed the kitchen in the new section. William Randall, a farmer and carpenter, completed this house in approximately 1870 to 1872. Never modified, the house is currently in good condition."

This is a 'Pill box' one of many that can be found in teh UK.
The PILLBOX is the first example of defensive work seen by most people. Which is not surprising as over 18,000 were constructed across the British Isles to resist Nazi invasion during Hitler's proposed `Operation Sealion`, the planned German Invasion of England set for 1940.
This pill box is found aside the River Medway near Tonbridge in Kent.
