The background image scene on the cache page was full of joggers this afternoon as they fought the elements in the 10th Surf Coast Trail Marathon. Luckily we had this place to ourselves and could make a speedy find before continuing on our way - not puffing nearly as much as the others who had done the beach run and hill climb. TFTC.

This one had been left quite obviously in the open. In the same place, but not quite so obvious now.We headed off down the Great Ocean Road for a few days for a belated wedding anniversary celebration. The weather was kind and the scenery along the road spectacular. We based ourselves in Lorne and then tripped around checking out the local places. While we had visited the area some time ago it was great to spend more time exploring the area, and of course the caching.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache H_3.**SKI Pair****

6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot. Today, we take the great road sea to go to Mount Gambier. We halt to se this spotThanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots

We drive past here regularly, today we finally stopped to find the cache. We also found lots of nectarines on a tree, but they still need some time to ripen up. And now we found that the cache was placed on one of our birthdays. A modest trifecta for us. Thanks to the CO whom we met at the Geelong waterfront just before Christmas!

Velk cesta do Ocenie - den 16 - Melbourne - Great Ocean Road - Colac, Victoria (280 km)Rno v Melbourne opt prelo. Stlo m to 3 tisce a nemm kde bydlet. Nakonec mi dmy nachzej motel za vy cenu kousek odtud - 65 km ! To jako by ti v Brn ekli, e se m jet ubytovat do Znojma. Tady to ale za dnou vzdlenost nepovauj. Zanm mt Austrlie pln zuby. Jete mm toho panka bourbonu a colu. Jsem zvdav, co m tu jet ek. Zlat Amerika !In Melbourne rain again this morning. So I leave and drive to the Great Ocean Road. I make a little detour and found some challengies in countryside. Than I spend whole day on the GOR and found some caches there and finished my way in Apollo Bay where my booked and payed accomodation was occupied ! Shit ! I need to drive another 65 km to Colac and pay another 250 AUD in another motel. I dont like Australia. Every day is raining, windy and cold and now this. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Czech republic.

A lovely day for a drive down to the coastthat was until we came across bumper to bumper traffic trying to enter Anglesea haha. At the lookout there were many tourists admiring the brilliant views so while they were busy taking selfies we sneakily grabbed the cache and signed it while pretending to take interest in the signage. Thanks H_3 for the placement with a view.

This week I'm staying down at Anglesea with some friends to celebrate the end of the year and have been fortunate to grab a couple of caches in a very pretty area that I haven't visited since the mega in 2016!Chauffeuring a member of millsy031 (who's rather complaisant regarding impromptu caching expeditions) around the place has granted me a few more opportunities to diverge slightly from the group's intended route than would otherwise be anticipated in such circumstances, which often gained the curiosity of the two folks in the other car and resulted in a couple of adventures with all four of us!Today we kicked things off at the chocolaterie where an alarming amount of money left my bank account (but another ice-cream AL location was ticked off which balances it out), then visited Split Point Lighthouse before heading down to Lorne for some further shopping and a quick swim, after which we all headed to the Mermaid's Pool for a scenic conclusion to the day.Navigating via caches is good for the find count, but not necessarily great for a group trying to reach the beach! For some reason, I totally missed the existence of a carpark down by the beach and opted to navigate us all here instead (I believe my logic was something along the lines of "a cache called Urquhart Bluff must be near Urquhart Bluff!").We all took a slightly sketchy direct route down to the walking trail where I soon realised that we were in a woefully inconvenient spot for beachgoing and had to loop us back around to the carpark via the actual trail this time.Luckily, this cache up the top didn't add to the confusion, and it was quickly spotted in the first spot that I checked prior to the kerfuffle.Log signed and off we go to the right carpark this time...Thanks to H_3 for placing this one here! Smile

Today we headed out from Winchelsea to do our second day on the GOR. We made our way down through Wensleydale and picked up a few trads in tiny little none weatherproof pots. Nice little series. Then on to Anglesea which seemed to be very hipster/surfer vibes and we enjoyed a nice walk around The Wetlands, more caches and ate our packed lunch at one of the murals. Onwards to Aireys Inlet to visit the lighthouse and more caching. Lorne was our last stop on GOC seemed to be a bit more exy here and lots of posh Melbs people here . Back to Winchelsea via Erskine Falls, surprised no cache there and via Bambra area to collect some super cool woodland caches. Ran out of time to do everything we wanted but you can never get them all .Thanks to all the CO for some really great hides and especially to Bushfire we were sad to read of ill health.Super quick find here TFTC

Nice views from here and I found the information available on the board to be interesting. This should have been a simple find but another couple arrived which made seeking out and retrieving the cache without being spotted a bit problematic but we managed it *eventually!* But then once they had moved on and we were about to replace the cache another mob descended and swarmed around the area like bleedin' ants! Eventually they all gathered to take photo's, selfies and whatnot away from the GZ so we were able to return the cache to where we found it and continue on with our journey.TFTC

Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. Started on the 17th September in Cairns. Our plan is driving.along the eastcoast down. Then in the south on to Adelaide and from there ending the 31th October in Alice Springs.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case H_3, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.

We are visiting from Brisbane with muggle grandma, driving along a big section of The Great Ocean Road. Before everyone else was awake, I snuck out at daybreak to finish off some caches in Anglesea before we all headed off to Apollo Bay. So many beautiful places to see along the way. Many of those places are pointed out to me through caching.Needed to give Mr 10 a leg up for us to be able to sign this one.

Find No. 4318. Found with FUF009 at 8.29am.

Another weekend in Anglesea caching the area and finding caches we didn't get last time we were here (at the end of May). Geodog Penny came with us again and this time FUF009 came along as well. FUF009 hasn't been down to this area caching since October 2018 so he had quite a few to find. Today we made our way to Lorne caching along the way as we went.

First stop was for this one, which is only a new cache. When you see the hint 'magnetic' you can guess straight away where the cache will be. A quick find here for us. Spent more time enjoying the views from here.

Find # 12700

Found with Tyred n Cranky.

A family weekend away in Anglesea. Down here to enjoy and cache the area.

Last time I was in Anglesea was Oct 2018 and I had left a few unfound. So back again to claim some more finds in the area and tackle the AdLabs.

Great views over the water up here.
Being earlyish in the morning we had the parking area to ourselves.
