Logs
From Victoria and visiting Mr Harrowangs muggle sister for a few days. This one sounded like fun and we were sure we had the right TOTT to do the job. SL at 2.45pm Great fun and easily achieved. #11,395 TFTC kingfisher_au - now to check what else is in this area.
#6325I was up from Sydney to attend my grandson's school Grandparent's Day activities. After enjoying the activities followed by an after school milkshake and donuts at the local shopping centre, it was time to go fishing. On a previous visit, I had identified the location of the cache and today I remembered to bring my TOTT.It didn't take long for my grandson and I to retrieve the cache, sign the log and replace.I wonder what the people going past thought we were doing! Geocaching, of course!!!Thanks for the geo-fun kingfisher_au.
I was out on a fishing trip with my Poppy, Calypso62. He had brought a TOTT which enabled us to grab the cache. I didn't know caches could be placed this way. Lots of fun. Thanks.
Finally spotted the prize and got the TOT out. Up and guided the cache down to land. Signed log and replaced as found. TFTC
We scouted the area first and managed to spot the cache. Then it was back to the car for our trusty TOTT and its newly acquired extensions that now give us much greater reach. There was little wind so retrieval and return were easier than can often be.Our focus today was on a number of Ad Labs and associated bonuses in East Maitland and Morpeth as well as some high D and T caches where we could work our TOTTs. Of course there is always a few other caches to distract us along the way.An overcast, but reasonable day where the rain stayed away.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache kingfisher_au.**SKI Pair****
Felt a little exposed here what with the traffic going past and some disc golfers nearby but cache quickly retrieved and signed. Thanks kingfisher
Found it with ease but struggled to get it down! We have completed 3 caches successfully so are newbies! Will invest in some TOTT and be back!!
We noticed this pole cache nearby while doing a labcache so we popped on over to try our luck with the male Tritonz skills. There wasnt any problems spotting the cache and it was down in no time and signed. Thanks kingfisher_au for the pole placement.
bunadoorian and I came for a drive to Maitland whilst our nephew was having a restful Sunday morning. This little park I targetted due to the favourite points on these caches. bunadoorian soon realised he bought the incorrect TOTT so went back to the car for it. Thankfully he was able to get the cache. TFTC and for bringing us here kingfisher_au
I arrived at GZ with the incorrect TOTT and had to return with the correct one. Eventually got the logbook signed and was wrapped with the statistics I achieved in this parkland. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC.
After doing the nearby cache I saw there was another here and I have that TOTT with me as well. Terrific I head over to GZ and see a branch on the ground with cable ties and I thought the cache had fallen to the ground. When I looked closer, someone has gathered lots of branches and cable tied them together to try to get the cache. See attached photo ???Anyway, I look up and there is the cache. I deployed my TOTT and quickly had it down, signed and returned as found.TFTC
Found the ceche but cant got it down we will be back with a pole to hit it down
We'll wouldn't that just rot your socks.I arrived at GZ and began searching. I had three to choose from so did a systematic walk around each. I was here for about 5min before I spotted what I was looking for.Back to the car to grab the necessary equipment only to discover said equipment is not anywhere to be seen.Grrrrrrr!!!!I did notice someone had tried to improvise a TOTT but I think that one would probably come up short.I visit the area regularly to visit family so will put this on the agenda for another visit and this time, I'll make sure I have what I need.Cheers
Decided to spend some time today hunting caches around the East Maitland area with ilook4geo. There was no problem in finding this one and the log was soon signed. Thanks go to kingfisher_au for placing this cache.
Checking out East Maitland today with goingplaces2 and picking up a random selection of caches while in the area. No problem with this one. TFTC.
Found it was the easy part... getting it down was fairly easy but returning it back has taken us 40mins!

Found with MummyPenny after dining on Kurri Kurri take-away in this lovely park. We came well-prepared and had this down and back after the usual trial-and-error manoeuvres. Thanks kingfisher_au.
That took a bit of effort, as I had GeodogZelda with me and trying to balance my TOTT and stand on her lead was awkward. But with persistence, I managed to get CIH. Signed and put back in place and on our way. TFTC
Found this one a few weeks back and didn't bring a pole. Today we set out with a mission, took a couple of goes hut finally got it. Signed log, returned as found.
Find#1464

TFTC and a nice find. So exciting for me to put the cache back after Deni_f got it down. A favourite from me. I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy tree fishing because I find water fishing boring. I love tree fishing so hence my favourite.
A quick find and retrieve with our TOTT. Perhaps we are getting better at this as it was 10 minutes from car back to car! Thanks for a fun one. TNLN TFTC
Thanks to Shaneo58s great angling skills in the wind, I was able to sign the log once he'd landed his cache. TFTC
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 12554.
Another D4 cache brings me even closer to a challenge cache I’m working on. I was surprised to see this was still unfound after 2 nights so I detoured slightly to make the find this morning and surprised to see a blank log.
Thanks kingfisher_au for the cache and the [FTF]

Still unfound? Surely not. ??
I was right, surely not. I can't have missed it by much.
Wow this was a pretty decent challenge in the wind this morning with my flimsy fishing rod and needed to come up with some on the fly extensions this morning. It was right on my limits. TFTC ??

I arrived a little early for the nearby event, so I went for a little walk, I had not even realised this cache had been published so had not brought my pole, So I just waited underneath the cache and sure enough some cachers walked over. Shaneo did great work getting the cache down and Samuel replaced it. Thanks for the cache kingfisher_au tnln replaced as found sl
Find No: 9145. Joined the multitudes from the Maker Magic Event to retrieve the beast, thanks for the cache kingfisher_au!!
As i parked to attend the nearby event, i noticed a mob moving away from the event gz, so decided to follow, as i knew where they were going. Sure enough, with his trusty new pole, Shaneo58 retrieved the cache, it was passed around for everyone to sign, then Samuel737 replaced it. Well done all! TFTC.

We were here for the Maker Magic Event, of course our excellent host had put on another cache for us to find whilst here.... As we arrived we saw the group assembling at GZ, with Shaneo at the business end of a long pole skyward.
The cache came down with Isaac Newton at the wheel, and was signed by the crowd. Samuel managed to reinstall it with our new pole. These are always fun... and another '4' for our challenge progress... only 98 to go!
