Today we headed out for a day of caching on South Arm. We did a mix of walking and driving caches. It started out chilly and a bit wet but as the day went on the weather got better. We did have a couple of dnf but the caching in general was really good and we are grateful to all the CO for contributing to our game. This one was a nice quick find, although it didnt seem to be magnetized? As this cache went missing and the previous location is a bit exposed, I have refashioned a new cache and replaced it in a (hopefully) safer location. Happy caching.

A day to escape and find a few caches that I had eyed off but not found. Started with a trip to Cambridge. Then on to south arm via one cache and then back to Hobart. A cool group of caches. Each was special in its own way, and I think out of the four I gave 4 favourite points. TftcThe biggest issue I had with this cachE was finding parking. In the end I stop, but didnt turn the engine off while I grabbed the cache from a no parking position. The sun was certainly out and so were all the people.

TFTC - tassietan,Was in the area as Mrs EeePees wanted to visit South Arm Market this morning, opening up after its winter break. So I dropped her off and headed off into the worsening weather. After a quick find just up the road, I came back here, and got away with parking as the awful weather just now meant there were no muggles, no fisherfolk, no cars, and no boats/trailers.I looked, unsuccessfully, at the wrong parts of the host first, but made a quick find once I looked in the right spot. Another clever handmade cache. Thanks so much, for adding hides to the game.Cheers, EPs. 3688 - Sunday 1st October 2023@1025hrs

There was one person fishing from the jetty when we arrived in the late afternoon but the person appeared to take no interest in us. Accurate coordinates and something a little out of place led to a quick find of a well designed and placed cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks tassietan for another quality cache.

This was the first weekend after getting back from the NTso a short day out in South Arm, we ignored the signs as you do and parked near GZ and made the quick find before heading off to the next.

Thanks for the cache.

We drove down and the jetty was deserted. We looked in the obvious place but no, not there. There was only one other option as far as I was concerned, and there it was!
Thanks tassietan

I was excited to see there was 5 new hides on my map close to home (and 2 not so close but easy to access being rural hides on the South Arm Peninsula) I decided to make a day of it and grab them all. The puzzle-side of the Letterbox Hybrid, Going Postal [GCAADV2] was solved last night so i was ready to go grabski all 7 of them

This was my last find for the day and i was reminded of NO PARKING down here, bugga... oh well more steps to my step-count were gained Wink as i made my way down to GZ with a pair of Muggle-Workers in a truck were "Parked" there!

They were just outta sight thankfully as after 10 minutes i finally found the sneaky hide.
SL sitting down in comfort at 13:11 on Wednesday the 28th of June 2023.

A nice hide and creation indeed.

**FTF ** 6.55am.
We were looking for local caches to find and log for the multiple GC Challenges currently running and had been disappointed that no new caches had appeared on South Arm.
Last night up popped this FTF and early this morning (unable to sleep) I got out of bed and headed to complete the 34kms drive to a spot just over 5 Kms away, in a straight line. It was pitch black on arrival at GZ and the GPS refused to load in the dark. Thought about the likely location and just about to discover the cache when the GPS confirmed that i was in the right place. Despite the "park and grab" description the CO did not let us down with a well presented cache container well hidden from prying eyes. Delighted to find a blank page and sign the log. Returned watching the rising sun as I approached home in time for breakfast.

Congratulations membsec on your early bird FTF. A frosty morning but nice to see the sun emerge over the South Arm peninsula.

There were a couple of new caches at Opossum Bay published this morning, and as one of them was still hadn’t been logged as found by the afternoon, we decided to go and look for them. As it turned out we had been beaten to the ftf and stf and so ended up with the third to find on both of the new caches. As well as finding those two we found three others, ending up with a total of five finds for the day.

I saw this one come out last night, but the ftf was gone by the morning. Today after finding another newly published cache nearby we came and had a look for this one. After a few minutes of searching we had the cache in hand, nice container.

Thanks for the cache tassietan!
