Next stop, muggle box #4. Given it was a Sunday afternoon, the car park was full of cars, although no one was around. We guess they are all off riding their bicycles in the nearby bushland. We spotted the well camouflaged Hide and soon had it retrieved and signed. Thanks Muggle 65Domsky
Had to go to Fernlands today so stopped on way back to get this one, Too hot to do the next one (#3 )so will come back another day for it. TFTC
Out and about with Teamnanabombana today and this was first. Quickly spotted and retrieval was fast too, and got it back up with no worries. Thanks for the fun!
A trip to Brisbane for work gave me a bit of time for caching as well. Always great to visit Brisbane and to explore the area using caching as a guide. Found this cache on 26 October 2024 at9:50AM Thank you Muggle65 for placing and maintaining this cache for everyone to find. Tftc
Today, I was joined by Seffnjarah on a caching run around the northside, collecting interesting puzzles and the odd higher DT cache here and there. My caching kit contained one of the finest carbon fibre tree fishing poles that China makes, so naturally we had to stop at all tree fishing caches along the way. We had outwaited the first mountain biking muggle here, utilising the well placed seat, but when another arrived, we decided to walk a bit further and grab the next one. On our return, the coast was all clear, and a quick find made. Many thanks Muggle65Pete#8,067
After a very enjoyable, but exhausting , nine days of GCLogan events, I had 2 full days left before flying back to NZ. To maximise the value of these 2 days, a plan was hatched with GG1 and M65 to target some special caches on the Northside that would help me with possibly two further D/T loop completions. Their help was invaluable, with local knowledge ensuring the best route was taken to fit in as many high quality caches as possible today. Day two today and a little bit later start, but we still didn't stop till well after dark..... With my hosts well prepared for any tott we might need today, it was not too much trouble, even for an old guy, to access this one and sign the log. TFTC
Today I set out on a MacGyver Day on the northside, looking for caches that require a special tool. I ended up hauling in 10 tree fishing caches in total. This was my sixth stop and by far the easiest find for the day. I parked 5m away from the cache. Spotted it from the car. Not too far up so it was a nice easy retrieval. All good with the cache and clue noted before returning it back to it's spot. Too easy! I was a bit perturbed by the nearby cat grave, though. I hope that's not a bad omen for me. Thanks muggle65 for placing this nice easy tree fishing cache and making it a letterbox too!
All good in the good here. A little stretch and it was down. Thanks for placing these cache I AM GUR
Down in Brisbane for the day and had a whole day of caching planned but the unseasonable amount of wet stuff falling from the sky might hinder that plan. Ive got my gumboots, raincoat and umbrella so well see how far we get! It was pouring when I arrived at the parking so went for a walk in the bush. When I returned the rain had stopped and I could go fishing. Thanks for the cache Muggle65Find #6217
So having found the nearby tree fishing cache, we walked back to the parking spot and now it was all quiet with only two cars here. It didnt take long to spot and was not as high as the cache I had just completed. The extraction was quick and all is good with the log book. Now that I am logging todays finds, I see that I should have made note of the stamp letter included within the cache container. Oh, well. Had fun this time, I guess Ill have fun next time as well. Lesson learned. All is good with this cache. Thanks very much for creating this cache Muggle65. Cheers
This whole area has been burnt off but the cache is safe. I was looking too high but still needed my pole. After Id signed up and replaced, a muggle asked me about the game before disappearing down the track. All good here so TFTC.
Visiting South East Queensland for a week from Port Macquarie. Today we primarily cached around the suburbs of Brisbane, with a real mixture of hides found. We then capped it off with a late afternoon river ferry ride to South Bank, before returning to our accommodation in time to write up logs and watch Origin Game II.This was by far the easiest tree fishing cache we've done, locating it barely two metres off the ground and only needing one section of our TOTT extended, although we probably could have grabbed it without it. Seems the last finder, or someone else who hasn't logged didn't replace it properly. Couldn't see clearly where it should belong so replaced it about a metre higher as to be out of reach of muggles. Thanks for the cache
Yeah. Again! We had to work with this one. Thankfully, I am still a bit taller than hatzofff.Log signed and cache replaced on 7th June 2024. TFTC, GreenCecko1.
A nice drive up this way to pick up a few caches for a challenge I'm working towards and joined by a couple of local geo friends. Thanks Muggle65 for placing another good letterbox hide, this one was found much quicker than the last one and we sure are getting good use out of our ToT today.
Up this way a few hours before a meeting and picking up a few caches beforehand and this was one of them.TFTC
In town and had the right TOTT so put it to use. No problems with the catch and release, just took a bit to spot.We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Out and about with Dora the Explorer! today and doing a little bit of fishing. We had the right equipment to catch this one. The letter on the stamp was noted.TFTC.
Equipped with my trusty tree fishing pole and a spirit of exploration, I set out to uncover this hidden gem.Upon arriving at the coordinates, I slowly located the cache thanks to the helpful hint provided. As per the cache description, I retrieved the stamp from inside the container and carefully noted the letter imprinted on it. The serene surroundings and convenient parking near the cache site made the experience even more enjoyable.I'm excited to utilize the collected letter to unlock the coordinates for the bonus cache. This added layer of mystery adds a delightful twist to the geocaching experience, encouraging further exploration and discovery. Before resealing the cache and returning it to its hiding spot, I took a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature surrounding me. Geocaching not only leads to hidden treasures but also allows us to connect with nature.
Well, that was fun. Not too high, but smaller branches added a bit of challenge to get me thinking about approach. TFTC!
I've seen this spot very busy on weekends with cars parked both side of the road, birthing bicycles and MAMILs of all different sizes and types. Today thought the chances of pulling out the pole would be a better option than weekends even with rain of biblical proportions forecast and school holiday munchins likely to be haunting the place. How sweet it is when you arrive at the car park in a very slight drizzle and no one else is around. With the car parked within a few metres of GZ, was tempted to cast the pole remaining seated but even my pole isn't quite that long so got out and did the dirty. No issues collecting mugglebox #4 and the few passing muggle vehicles weren't interested in what I was doing. Thanks Muggle65 for the Jinker Track's postal run.
Popular place for bikers parking. Entertained a few today while having to retrieve cache twice. Once to sign the log and second time to record the cle for the bonus. Didn't take too long to spot and the up and down was quite easy. Thanks for the cache placement and
One of the kids had a baseball game nearby and afterwards we decided to grab a cache on the way home, much to his disgust, but hey, thats life! This cache looked like it was the easiest of the bunch so we settled on this one. We parked on top of GZ but a muggle was sitting underneath the cache, well, I certainly wasnt going to retrieve it while he was there. I walked to the car and back numerous times to make him feel awkward and sure enough he hopped up, buggered off to his car and left, Im glad I have that effect on people, Ill note that for next time. With the pole in hand and the dust and spiderwebs removed it was a matter of extending it onwards and upwards to the prize and as I was doing just that a muggle thought now was the best time to strike up a conversation and ask what I was doing, obviously I told them the truth, however I was oh so close to saying I was actually tracking koalas in the vicinity and this you beaut pole has a GPS tracker on it I really did think about it but I succumbed to the pressure and said I was Geocaching.Anywho, she buggered off and I was able to lower the cache back down for signing duties. Thanks for bringing us here.#4212 - TFTC
We were heading to Ferny Hills to catch up with some friends so I took advantage of our passing nearby to grab some more of this series of geocaches. We thought this one was a little low in comparison to the CO's usual style but we're not going to complain...Thanks for find #5243TNLN
Shazzar66 and I met up after work for a few hours of caching. It's always nice to cache in Summer: more hours to get more caching achieved before it becomes too late to see. For some bizarre reason, both of us were right on the spot, but we couldn't see the cache. After about 20 minutes, finally Shazzar66 spotted it. How did neither of us see it previously? I have no idea. Of course once you see it, you can't un-see it. We decided that we must have been looking too high.Victory and the cache was soon at hand, Shazzar66 doing the fishing. I just stood by and watched. I may have contributed a pen. Thanks, Muggle65, for another chiro appointment!
I headed out with Duppers for a few caches today.Decided to hit a few around xxx.I found your cache, MuggleBox #4 today. This is my 2547 find.Another quick find for the day.Muggle65, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
If youre going to try this one, early evening is a terrible choice! With the light almost gone, it was almost impossible to spot the container, but with two sets of eyes and a lot of persistence we finally spotted it! The foliage made for a challenging retrieval and even more challenging replacement but its back safe and sound. TFTC, Muggle65. =^.^=
Putting back was easier as thankfully the wind had died off a bit compadres to when we were trying to get down but all was well with this cache today
Returning back from our walk from GeckoBox #1, there were a couple of MTB-ers taking selfies right at the tree in question at GZ! Infant Cottontail was wanting a snack and drink of water, so once those needs were serviced, the MTB-ers rode on, and we were left to make the somewhat not-too-difficult spotting of the cache container. The TOTT was then retrieved, carefully avoiding other branches and shrubbery, and brought back to ground safely. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Our only issue was getting the looped container snagged halfway back up, so more fishing practice, and the cache was back on the same sturdy branch that we found it! Thanks Muggle65 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
----------
This morning, infant Cottontail and I decided to take the small drive north for a spot of tree fishing, and play in Albany Creek. The fresh letterbox hybrid caches along Jinker Track in Bunyaville Conservation Park were the first target, and strangely, it was my south-western corner of my D-T grid that was starting to become "critical path" i.e. 4.5-1.0. A couple of these letterbox hybrid caches appeared to satisfy that need, and following our fishing, we then went north for a nearby playground. As it turned out, another unmapped playground became our stop when we found a geocache nearby, and as the morning closed out for the lunch nap, we returned home.

Poor cyclist watching what we were doing nearly crashed on the way past. Found with Lauries4. TFTC
What a gorgeous Friday to have an RDO from work.
Few minutes of searching g before spotting it nearly tucked up there. Easy to grab down. We remembered to make note of the letter stamp. TFTC.

After attending a CITO event in Keperra, we went in a caching tour with Grannysmith1947.
We spotted this letterbox, got it down, signed the log and hang it back.

DisSister dropped in earlier today to pick me up for an attempt on this cache. Turned the stove off and headed out (dinner could wait). Light was fading but we managed to locate and retrieve the cache just before the sun dipped below the horizon. Of course the amount of growth made it a little more difficult but got there in the end. TFTC
I realised, as I headed to dinner at a family members place, that I hadn’t yet found a cache for my streak today. This was one of the closest and I even scored a park directly in front of GZ. With the light fading, it took a while to spot but eventually we had it in our hands. The branches then colluded to make it challenging to replace as the sun disappeared but we managed in the end. Thanks Muggle65
After attending a nearby CITO, CuriousQuest and I decided to try fishing for a few caches along the Jinker Track. After locating a nearby letterbox, we headed to this one. Again, the cache was quickly spotted. TotT deployed, log signed, cache returned to its spot and we were on our way again. TFTC
TFTC smile 16655 out and about on a lovely day sign as GS1947 on small logs
Signed and replaced
Thank you, Muggle65, for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Out with T4mmmy for a wee walk, and here we had no issues spotting or retrieving this one. Letter noted although not sure what we are going to do with that as I can't find the final on my map?
Thanks Muggle65 for entertaining me at this location.

Got a park nice and close. After a bit of looking I spied the cache sitting up there. While a few bikes went past as I was searching none came past as I did the retrieval. Signed, clue noted and returned.

I spotted it amongst the foliage and it fell down when I bumped it with the pole. I put it back a little more securely. Thanks for placing this cache Muggle65
It has been such a long time since bear0503 ( my geo work friend ) and i have been out caching and i decided to introduce her to tree fishing. Lucky she was with me today as she spotted this one in no time and this time she did the honors and had the cache in hand in no time. . We noted the clue and cant wait to see where it leads us. Thanks for all the fun
Had a great time finding this cache with Que Sera.
I’m really enjoyed finding this cache and such a lovely area.

Limited time meant I could target a couple of new caches with another trip along the Jinker Track…
I was surprised as to how quickly I spotted this cache… and I didn’t even need to practice my ballet skills from the 90’s to make the retrieval…
I admired the craft skills of the CO’s obsessive partner while taking note of the letter… which I’m beginning to think might just be the COs twisted version of Wheel of Fortune… I’d like to buy a vowel!
Thanks Muggle65

Beta Tested this one on placement day. I certainly was not as smooth as the CO at retrieval or replacement but managed to do both. Made a note of the clue. Thank you for letting me play on your placement day.

Today started with a drive to the coast to grab Maddie and return in time for an event at Enoggera. The maker magic events have been fun and I have been lucky to make it to three of them. This morning’s one was a great event and one that should the skills of cache container building and camouflage is only now enhanced.
Maddie enjoyed the painting of caches and the usage of leaves. I enjoyed the chats with people during the morning and watching the caches being decorated.
We then left for a day of completing chores for ourselves. We had just gotten the shopping packed away when Ding, ding and more dings. Oh Maddie first to finds, I really thought we were going to seat and watch who got the *FTF*'s. Surprise, lets go she says, not wasting this chance so off we go.
We pulled up to this one and it was an easy find, we quickly got the cache down and signed and then back up again in super record time. Then she says where are the others? Not going to do both but we could get at least one more so off we went.
Thanks for the fun here today.
