Hovering over this side of town for another event tonight so I stopped here for a late lunch/ early dinner. Flipped the map open to see what cache/s were here and spotted this one. Wandered over to look for it and spotted it within a minute. Signed the log and returned it to it's perch.TFTC
Cache was quickly spotted once we arrived at GZ and although retrieving was quick, replacing it with the breeze waving tree around was challenging but got there in the end. TFTC
Didnt take me long to spot this one in the tree, and was the easiest of the five fishes I attempted today. Id just had two DNFs so this was a small win. Quick retrieval, sign, and replace then I was on my way. Thanks for this series, I hope the others are back up and running soon.
After going round and round the tree neither of us had spotted it. I remembered reading logs where they said they found it on the ground so decided to look round the base of the tree. No sooner did I look down, I spotted it in the roots. Gorjess516 placed it back up the tree after we signed the log. TFTC
Ekka public holiday and Ive just returned home from sunny Palm Cove this morning to rainy rainy Brisbane. Found on the ground. Replaced in a nice likely spot up above. So many places to choose from. Going strong for the August challenge. TFTC, found with mugglemum.
Out with Selva Girls to grab a few caches in the area and this was one of them. A short walk and once at GZ the cache was soon retrieved, log signed and all returned as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy. TFTC RogerRamjett
After finding a few caches by kayak, it was time for some caching on land, so Konie and I made our way to this cache. It took way longer to spot than it should have because we were looking based on the terrain rating. Not sure how someone in a wheelchair would be able to get this cache from the path. Eventually, we located the cache and added our names to the log. TFTC
RogerRamjett I found your cache G Angling In The Greenery on 11/7/2024, 2:50PM. This is my find 6834 and find # 6 today. Found it, retrieved it, signed it and returned it. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Had the TOTT with me so headed over on this visit. This one was a quick spot and launch of the TOTT. We completed the signing duties and re hoisted. TFTC.
Found with Dora the Explorer! This took quite a while to spot but when I eventually spotted it, Dora the Explorer was half way up the tree trying to get a closer view from there. She ended up fishing the cache down from where she was in the tree.TFTC.
This took us awhile to find and I even climbed the tree part way. CDAH55 spotted the cache and I completed the tree fishing from where I was standing in the tree making it much easier to catch release and return.
Changing to DNF coz although I found it I didnt sign so I will be returning on this fishing trip
Happy Leap year Day. It is now 5:15am and I am continuing my day of chasing certain D/T combinations to help with completing another loop of my D/T grid. After driving down the hill from Toowoomba I am moving onto the next cache on my 'to do' list. It seems other people are up and about at this time of the morning. I was asked a couple of time what I am doing and happily explained Geocaching other people of the night. Spotted after about 5 minutes of searching in the dark. Quickly retrieved, log signed, and returned. Thanks for the cache.
Alyce and I have made plans to head out every Friday to grab a variety of caches. We are trying our best to clean out areas but caches keep sprouting up and we havent had the opportunity to keep up so thats why were in the area today. We spotted this one after a brief search and had it down within seconds, but it took an eternity to pop back up, something like 10 - 15 attempts. I nearly gave up and was tempted to throw it, but hey, I managed to get it back up in the end. Thanks for bringing us here.#4248 - TFTC
The park is closed off due to the recent flooding, but I found a park and made my way here. The circus is setting up nearby. Returning these with such a small loop was rather hard! TFTC.
Ive never had much success with tree fishing caches, but today was rainy, hot and sticky which at least reduced the number muggles laughing at my attempts. Very pleased to have got this one down and back up successfully . TFTC
After finding the other cache in the area I walked over to this one. Took a bit longer to spot than the last one. A quick retrieve, sign and return. TFTC
That's a tricky tree. Madrabbitoh had just said " not too many options", I looked back up and spotted it. TFTC
My second find in this familiar location. This one was a little less obtrusive than the previous fishing cache, and I was alone to locate and fish for the cache. A nice easy cache to find before I made my way to my appointment and then back up the highway to the Sunny Coast to not think about work for at least 6 days! Woohoo...Happy Christmas to me!Thanks, RogerRamjett, for another tree-fishing cache in this area nearby to my workplace.
My last caching time before flying back to Melbourne later today. A mix of targets, mainly tree fishing or climbing, making use of the tree fishing pole I had borrowed for the trip.Stop 2 here, and another quick find and retrieve without being paid any attention. TFTC!
We found this cache and signed the log.Thank you for the cache says Team sissifalke
After a bit of hangling near by, went for a short walk to try some gangling. Was here late last week killing a few hours while the car was serviced. Walked down to the park to look for both angling caches for when I came back. Quickly dispatched the cache and was far enough away from the few kids using the park amenities to raise any suspicions. Thanks for the tree fishing series RogerRamjett.
Today i decided to do a bit of tree fishing which was a bit silly seeing it was so windy. It did make it a bit difficult but i liked the challenge. This cache i spotted pretty quick. Thanks Roger for all the fun
After a fair bit of planning yesterday I had an objective of completing the 25 different DT challenge in the Tinchi Tamba wetlands.I marked out my route which was probably going to make me more of a Leyland brother than Id ever hoped to be but I thought I could squeeze it in.Unfortunately at the second of my planned caches for the day I pulled out to take off and collected a concrete block that wasnt in view. Bang, front skirt scratched and big puncture in the side wall of my tyre. There goes the time I needed to reach the goal.Any way I stayed the course and gave it a shot and came up short by about 5 caches. Dan that punctured tyre.Anyone this cache was found safe and well. A signature was applied to the log and returned safely to its hiding place.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this ache available to be found bet fellow cachers.Cheers
Retrieval was straight forward but it took me 4 attempts to replace. Definitely felt the burn in the neck and arms today. TFTC
We looked in and around the trees but unable to find it. Our first geocache so we might be missing some basic logic
Down in SEQ for a few days to celebrate the life of a caching ambassador and a great friend Karicka.
Back in BrisVegas to grab some rare DT targets today with BenM70 and greencordial.
Seems that the poles in SEQ must be shorter than those up North. Perhaps because of the cooler temps or maybe it’s just previous finders rehanging them lower than when initially placed. Either way we were happy to pick up the generous difficulty ratings.
No audience this time for a quick catch and return.
Thanks RogerRamjett for adding to my day.

The trepid trio, burgo, greencordial and myself went to pick out a few caches that took our fancy for one reason or another. Was picking up a bit of a haul for the day
A quick scan and an uncapping of the rod. Added a few lengths then reeled in this camouflaged preform. Put it back up and went for a challenge
Thanks RogerRamjett for placing this Traditional for my find # 4481
We are now heading north to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria. Loving our time around Brisbane and around the area. Today we had the opportunity to grab just a few while running chores.
Stopped off here and found another using my special TOTT. It was then an easy retrieval, with very few muggles about and surprising they didn't take any notice of me. It was fun, so given a fav.
Thanks RogerRamjett for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Early morning start for a day of caching with Peppa on the northside. I had no list of caches but Peppa managed to find some we both haven't found.
This was on the way to a targeted cache so decided to stop and have a go. With Peppa's TOTT we made our way to Gz where we managed to locate this cache in the tree. A quick catch and release.

Nice to see a new cache pop up not far from where ours used to be for 7 years, but archived after it kept going missing. I found a step up into the tree gave me the best angle for retrieval

On to some more alphabet angling, and this has to be one of the busiest parks to come to on a Sunday with so many muggles stopping to question what we were up to.
Cache spied quickly with hatzofff doing the honours for our group.
Thank you, RogerRamjett, for placing this cache for our benefit and enjoyment

With a morning paddle organised, I stopped here on the way to try my luck with this tree fish. I had heard these ones were placed quite high, I wasn't sure if my TOTT was up to the task. I needn't have worried, I was able to spot the cache easily and before long had the log signed and the cache back in its spot.
Thanks RogerRamjett for placing the cache.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to this fabulous park so it was lovely to return today. Grabbing the TOTT, we walked over from the carpark and soon had the cache in our sights. The tether was a bit challenging to see but with some general waving about, the cache was somehow snagged and brought to down for signing before being replaced. Thanks RogerRamjett
Out this avo with IolantheK collecting a few tree fishing caches [^]
Every cache took us a while to spy the container at the final; much craning of ones neck and squinting into the sky
IolantheK spotted this one and deftly plucked it from its perch [^]

Out with T-Tech for a few hours for some tree fishing.
Our second adventure was to collect the rest of this CO's series, and this was our first stop. Lots of cars were in the park, but everyone seemed occupied by something happening about 100m away. No trouble locating and retrieving this one. TFTC, RogerRamjett.

With a day off work I decided to head north to target a few of the newer caches on offer…
Taking advantage of close “parking” meant a short walk into GZ where it didn’t take long to spot the container in its current location…
Popular spot today…

Between my two short kayak sessions this morning, I took a stop in Pine Rivers Park for the couple of newly placed fishing/climbing geocaches. This geocache turned out to be a textbook find, making a quick find and subsequent retrieval. Perhaps that was helped by "The Boys" placement back at an approximate location after finding the cache on the ground. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks RogerRamjett for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
I'm impressed regarding the CO's high quality caches, especially for someone who has only started to place new caches!
----------
This early morning, I had my kayak loaded on the vehicle, and subsequently I took a trip to Strathpine and paddled South Pine River chasing a newly published geocache. Cool weather conditions were welcome, and just trying to get a fitness session prior to the rain forecast across the next few days. I then conducted a couple of tree fishing and climbing caches before repeating the kayak preparation and paddle session from Dohles Rocks boat ramp. I had time to detour pass a couple of Bracken Ridge tree fishing geocaches prior to work.

This one was nice and close for a quick duck out on a Sunday morning.
Spotted quickly and I soon had my name on the log.
Thanks for the cache, RogerRamjett

30/06/2023 - 09:40So with my dad, dixie_gooner, a seasoned Cacher visiting from the UK; we attended the Logan Geocaching event last night as a family. He quickly made acquaintance with Chamad and Karicka and put together an itinerary for a day of caching today. As a baby cacher I was fortunate enough to tag along. The whole experience was truly eye opening for me and the amount I learnt from the three of them was immense. There were a great selection of caches, some of which were new to all of us but all of which were new to me! It was a great day with 'The boys', which was our honorary team name for the day. After searching the canopy, we eventually found the cache lying on the floor. We replaced it as best as possible TFTC marcussjd9#116TFTC

I attended the Logan Geocaching event last night and met Chamade and Karicka. A plan was hatched for a day of caching today, which was a bit of a magical mystery tour. Their waa a great selection of caches, old, new and damn right fun. It was a great day with 'The boys', which was our team name for the day.
Unfortunately, travelling from the UK, I am light on caching gear, fortunately the local hosts aren't. My first tree fishing cache in Oz and I immediately realised that you have too many leaves on your trees in winter. It is so much easier in the UK in winter

We replaced it as best as possible

Today was an awesome day of just leisure caching around Strathpine and then towards Narangba. The trip today consisted of myself, Karicka, Marcussjd9 and, all the way from the UK, Dixie-gooner. There was a slight plan with a few special caches for the locals and then there were the ones as we passed for the new or overseas guys. There was a huge variety of caches, some particular spaces on grids were filled, and there was some great laughs along the way. I am sure our overseas guest got in a few nice caches to add to his list and some different lga’s.
We stopped here as my first cache for the day. After searching the tree intensely, we found the cache on the ground at the back of the tree. We signed the log as “the boys” and placed the cache in the tree. This will need the CO to check if our placement was suitable.

I got up this morning a little earlier to do some yoga but first checked emails. Oh , a new cache has been posted. I battle with my head and decided to continue with my yoga routine. After that I headed to the gym for my regular Wednesday workout and if the FTF was still up for grabs, I’d head around to see if I could find the cache.
Woohoo, nobody has been to find it, so I headed there as it was a short drive from the gym.
I got to GZ with two trusty TOTT, rod and torch and soon spotted the cache.
Retrieving the cache was a little challenging with the shadows from the torch but I managed to get it down, put my name in as the FTF, then the challenge of putting the cache back started.
With it now back where I found it, it was time to head to work.
