We completed the jigsaw and had the final coordinates some time ago. Late this afternoon, as the intensity of the sun started to decrease, we went out to look for some caches. This was one of them.Reasonably accurate coordinates and a familiar style of hide led to a quick find, The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks hatzofff for the puzzle and cache.

23-Jul-24

The adage was 'just one more . . .' before making our way to Blackall. After this quick find, we drew a line on what else we'd grab as we could be saying just one more for the next day or so. Thanks hatzofff for entertaining the Brissy TEA party here.

Another place we visited the exterior for, a couple of times, whilst caching here. The puzzle brought back measurements Im much more familiar with. I still measure by inches, feet and miles.Loved the little tables on the back of our school exercise books that converted measurements to rods, furlongs and chains.

22-Sep-23
Another great jigsaw and fairly tough puzzle. These got tougher as were went along. Because it was a nice roomy cache elina_Maree left a trackable.

22-Sep-23
Found on a trip with e.gregory1 traveling through western New South Wales and central Queensland to attend the QOGM at Longreach. After QOGM I made my way to Brisbane for a few days before a return drive back to Adelaide via the north coast of NSW, central NSW and the Riverlands. Signed our names variously as FW e.g1 or e.g1 FW to save time and space in the logbooks. Thanks for the puzzle and cache hatzofff!

22-Sep-23
Team Crackers, The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and I, headed out today to find some of the caches that we hadn't yet had the chance to look for. We have certainly found a lot but there are a lot more to find before we leave.I think all the ladies of the group, had fun completing all that was needed for this series. We managed to find the caches without too much trouble at all. With so many of us, I am not surprised but have to admit that the well formed geotrails were a bonus. Thanks for the fun and information. Apologies for the generic logs. I am grateful for everything that you have put into making, placing and maintaining these caches for all to find.

22-Sep-23
This is a trail that we hadn't yet got to but have wanted to. As we will be leaving soon, we made sure that this was tackled today. All caches were found. Geotrails can be an advantage and made short work of a few that we found today. It didn't hurt that there were so many people searching either. Thank you for all the work you have put into making this trail possible. The effort is very much appreciated.

22-Sep-23
Attending QOGM for the first time but I have visited this region on a few occasions pre Covid and pre geocaching. On the trail today to find the jigsaw and jiggiriddle caches. Caches were found in good condition unless otherwise noted. Thank you for publishing and maintaining these caches so that we can enjoy them.

22-Sep-23
Found with FeatherWaite while attending the QOGM event at Longreach. We headed up to Longreach from Adelaide via Broken Hill, Cunnamulla, Charleville, Blackall and Barcaldine, camping and picking up caches along the way.The weather was a little warmer than we had anticipated, but it made for some pleasant evenings. Most of the caches were found without any issues and were in reasonable condition unless otherwise indicated. Thanks hatzofff for the puzzle and the cache.

22-Sep-23

Over from Otautahi Christchurch for this the last Outback Muster. Spent ages working out all the puzzles but I really enjoy jigidi ones. Shame I didnt find them as I didnt join in with someone with a spare seat for the day. Thanks to all the organisers for the hard work and effort in putting this and previous events together. Only sad thing is I could only get to Blackall before this one. Sorry this is cut and paste logging but I will add in a comment as required along the way. Ma te wa from me for the time being. Im sure we will meet again

21-Sep-23
Today is going to be another big and long day with a bunch of caches to grab on the way to the event in Muttaburra. Then grab a few around Muttaburra township, before heading back to town for more caches and then another event. Oh today also starts with a breakfast event at the showgrounds. The breakfast was good and the fruit platter was a very nice add on. While loading the info into the phone it was great to sit around and chat on peoples thoughts for the day. With the team gathered it was then off to make a mark on some log books. We signed the logs as Misfits and saw a nice variety of caches, with size and terrain not an issue. We all worked well as a team and it was a good practice run for the main event in a couple of days. After lunch and the run around Muttaburra town, we headed back to Longreach via these caches and puzzle caches. Thanks for the placements and the time in putting this all together.

21-Sep-23
Its ON, its Muster Day.We teamed up with JACS Team, Gcoven and Chamad for an action packed day. With papers in hand we made a mad dash around Muttaburra and the surrounding area grabbing a variety of caches along the way. What a crazy day! Thanks for bringing us here.#4057 - TFTC

21-Sep-23
We are heading up to Longreach for the last QOGM with The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 naturally stopping to grab any caches that come on the map aiming to get as many LGA's as we can.Not being able to attend the Muster yesterday we entertained ourselves by doing a few more local caches and then today we chose this series as it was taking us up to Muttaburra as we all wanted to revisit there. As Diane enjoys jigsaw puzzles we had all the co-ords required before we left home so all we had to do was go and locate the caches. We enjoyed the different hiding methods and the different sized containers and we were very happy when we got to the end with no dnf'sMany thanks once more for all the time, effort and money that goes into placing these series .

21-Sep-23
Had an amazing time at the last QOGM event in Longreach. I feel honoured to be one of only a handful of cachers who has attended all five, although it does concern me that now I will have to plan my own September school holiday fun. This year I travelled up with Gcoven and we scooted along the bottom LGAs for her to collect and I was able to pick up the odd one here and there untilWe hit brand newies on offer in Longreach. During the course of the formal QOGM days we travelled and cached with chamad and Nathan & Alyce as part of our team signing under the collective name of Misfits. Along the way we had plenty of laughs and enjoyed hanging out with each other through the official social events and our own - generally at The Wellshot or at the Longreach Bakery. With the couple of quieter days on the agenda it allowed us time to get everything we wanted in town and even head further afield to Winton with feeling rushed at any point. It was great catching up with everyone some whom I had not seen since Barcaldine and of course the more regular cachers from home. Quite the turn out indeed. Thanks to the efforts of the QOGM team and Jimmy Project for helping to bring this all together.

21-Sep-23
Townsvilles contingent, burgo78 and myself went to locate as many caches as possible while out in Longreach for QOGM 2023. Paper logs have been signed either individually or as TSV#1s or similar Day 2 and the first muster out to Muttaburra. Picking up these on the way. The organisers had set up a forks multi, as well as the first series of the Flights of Fantasy Traditionals I didnt mind actually doing these jigidis. I know some jump on the facebook solver page, but these were easy enough to be therapeutic rating than annoying. The puzzles at the end was something to look forward to at times. Thanks hatzofff for placing this Mystery for my geocaching enjoyment

21-Sep-23
JACS and I had hatched a plan a while back to book leave for a road trip out west and to attend the last QOGM.. battery issues after the children were out playing in the dead of the night but we are away in mini muster day! Another fab day for the MisFits! .

21-Sep-23
Attending the final QOGM with BenM70 this week and looking to turn solved puzzles and anything else we pass by into smilies. After completing the Musters we returned to pick up the jigsaws. Not my favourite type of puzzle so Im glad Jack provides his valuable community service. Thanks hatzofff for organising this and bringing a large group to the region. Well done to all over the past 5 years.

Gotta love a jigsaw :> Some of these were 'relatively' easy to solve, and others took weeks of 2-3 minutes each couple of days to solve :> May have signed the log as SFC, CC2, CC4, or CC5 depending on when we found it :> We had a team which, over the entire activity, ended up consisting of myself, silverfox1970, firebatman88, albida33, fitzy_1965, Happy Feet, Contesta, Gliss! and Nibletricecakes. Apologies for the generic logs :< All of these were found either in the lead up to QOGM 23 or during it. We will be sad to see the QOGM series finish, but we are so very grateful for the QOGM team for holding the series for so long. TFTC.

QOGM 2023 Longreach Day 20. Longreach Day 3. Waiting till Lunch and then caching near Longreach. Fitzy_1965 and Albida33 are on our trip in early spring to Longreach. Having brought forward our arrival in Longreach to attend the Stonehenge trip yesterday, we had a day and a half to wait till the rest of our group assembled. We were happy to greet Gliss! & NibletRiceCakes soon after lunch and we wasted no time in loading up the cars for caching with some of the closer puzzles nearby town. We started signing CCx where x was different on each day depending on how many non-Canberran Cachers where on that day. Today we were Gliss!, NibletRiceCakes, Contesta, Cosmonaut97, Fitzy_1965 & albida33. We had a great days caching and managed to locate all the caches on the days list, even though we had a close call at one of them. There was enough time in the afternoon for a pub visit before heading to the show grounds for the opening dinner. A great day, can't wait for the next one. Thanks for the cache hatzofff44324.8 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 24 Hours 100 Finds II A#294**Albida**

This was an extremely long day with plans to do all the QOGM geoart and letterbox caches along with random ones we hadn't previously found.I joined forces with Bluewattle and Davidwazza, and we worked efficiently and effectively as a team in finding all the caches on our to-do list. Recorded no DNF's, and only one PAF was required, and we started off with writing our full names in logs but quickly changed to initals to speed up the process and save room in log sheets. Also, apologies for these generic logs.Thank you to all the cache owners for placing such a large volume of traditional, puzzle, and letterbox caches for our benefit and enjoyment ??

This is our last time that we will get to experience a QOGM adventure. We will never be able to thank the QOGM committee and others anywhere near enough for all their hard work they do to make these events with all the associated caches that go along with it so enjoyable. We have watched each year as the numbers have grown and have read the will attend logs mentioning that as they have never had the chance to make it to one of these that they have made certain to attend this one as it is the last. We have attended 4 missing out on one due to COVID.The caches, as usual, have been a joy to do and have added to the experience when planning the trip of outback Queensland. The puzzles have helped us to learn a lot more about the area we are visiting. All caches that we have found have had good co-ords and are in good condition. Today there certainly was a lot more cachers out on the road.SL TFTC

Out and about caching today with fellow cachers - Team Astro, Deanside, Tenkae, joojoo57 and myself (TADJR logbook signed). Ventured along the road and located the caches in their hiding spots, a couple were a little harder than most. TFTC

Longreach Day 5
We had a big day out with the Snakepitters today, completing the circuit trail of jig saw puzzles.
Had lunch by a really nice billabong on the Thomson River.
After a short rest it was then on again to complete another smaller section of jig saws.
What a great way to tour the country following the geocaching trail.
Thanks to the CO for placing this cache

Day 1 of Pre QOGM caching, teamed up with Bill and Di (DiMorgan) doing the puzzle loop and if time permits the off shoot. Started at 0830, and planned for a hot sweaty day, only passed one other cacher and new of one cacher following.

A grret series thus far, finding was not all that easy the way through, had us challenged a few times until that final 'Got it'. All logs signed and replaced as found.

Thanks hatzofff for the caches.

Enjoyed exploring the area, cache and contents were in good condition.

***FTF***

I have been spending alot of time recently completing jigsaw puzzles. Today was the day to convert some more of them to smilies.

Packing the water, the sunnies, the camera, the dog and the driver and off we went for a little journey down the road.

Thanks for the new caches.
