Since we had parked nearby and gone for a lovely paddle on the river this morning, we decided we would also collect the numbers for this multi. With the numbers sorted, after our paddle we took a walk to GZ to come and find this one.Wow! That is high. It took all the height of our trusty TOTT to get that one down.Safely retrieved and returned. Thanks Brislions Domsky

I met up with Selva Girls for a paddle today and before we headed off we nutted this one out and then headed to GZ. Cache was soon spotted, retrieved, log signed and then hoisted back to it's perch as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy. TFTC Brislions Smile

This morning, I met up with Konie to find some caches on the water. Our launch point was near the final for this multi, so, of course, we stopped off to make the find. With our names added to the log, we set about launching our kayaks. TFTC

30-Jun-24
Had the TOTT with me so headed over on this visit. The maths was soon done and headed to GZ. A stretch for me and the pole but got it down and up. We completed the signing duties and re hoisted. TFTC.

Had a few hours this morning to venture out and add to the collection of smilies. Target is to get to the 10,000th cache before September this year and apart from a recent injury that set me back a few weeks I was well on my way.A bit rainy this morning but hopefully it dissipates and I can get a few in before I have to head home and deliver with the admin on life.Upon arriving at the suggested parking location I quickly made my way to GZ. The cache was quickly found and the log signed and returned safely. Now back to the car and off on the next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.Cheers

Cache was missing. I found parts of the cache on the ground, looks like it might have been run over by the mower. it has been replaced. Now good to go.

Out with IolantheK this Good Friday collecting a few After doing the numbers on the cache we arrived at the only real candidate but alas we couldn't spot the cache I think tree fishing is a bit like getting to GZ where there is a fence where you then have to spot the cache which is another five meters away, oh and the fence is above your head (of my neck) TFTC Brislions

Out again with T-Tech on a far less rainy day. We had no trouble finding the info and crunching the numbers then drove on to our GZ, but soon realised something was wrong as GZ didn't look good. A recount occurred and I had made a math error so we headed back to a far nicer GZ and took the walk along the path. However, here things got even worse, because we searched for ages, even with the help of 2 pairs of muggles, but weren't able to spy the container

After finding a couple of tree fishing caches out on the water, it was time to come back to shore, and take care of this one which also had a really helpful D/T combo for my purposes. After practising on the others, I made the grab here pretty easily but then discovered I had dropped my pen somewhere. The Mozzies were not too bad so I just went back to my car to find another: more steps in the day.The return took several goes but I didnt want to leave until I was satisfied it was secure up there.TFTC which I treated as a bit of a bonus.

Mr CNQ had hoped to do some more paddling today, but was too cooked from yesterday's effort and uncertain about fate of river caches in trees. Anyway despite the mud this park was open and the cache was found and returned, all present and accounted for. Thanks for a neat little multi Brislions.

Accio 19:50:00Another day another Fangsoki evening dash for a multi. Today we are here ... but sadly so were some several billion mozzies, and they brought friends as well. No worries sorting numbers and quickly retrieved the container from its spot. At which point Fang had some bad news, but apart from a quick attempt using dead mozzie bodies - we took a photo and quickly returned it up and got the heck outa there. Thanks Brislions for entertaining me at this location.Cool *{Overall find #12093}* Cool

Pprime and I were out and about and decided to grab this cache. We collected our first set of clues and then made our way to GZ. Holy clouds of mosquitoes at GZ. While Pprime used the TOTT I tried, in vain, to keep the bloody sucking vampires off us both.We successfully forgot a pen. Well **I** successfully forgot the pen so we took some photos. There was no way on God's green earth I was going to make Pprime wait while he got exsanguinated.A great little multi. TFTC Brislions Smile

With a busy day of Christmas preparation ahead, I wasnt sure how I was going to manage a cache find as well, but serendipitously, my father, who is in Europe, and apparently has no understanding of time zones sent me a message before the sun was up, awakening me from my deep sleep. Suddenly, I had an extra two hours in my day and finding a cache would not be a problem at all. Needing a multi for a challenge, I cast my eyes around for one close enough to home and spotted this one. We jumped in the car after some breakfast and headed up to the park, obtained the required numbers and wandered on this lovely fresh morning to GZ. Cache retrieval was performed with aplomb by Mr DisSister. All good here. Thanks Brislions

I have been here once before and got the phone number only as i was just driving near. Today i had my TOTT and once at GZ i spotted the hide and it was not as high up as i expected and with my nice new 10m Haverford telescopic squid pole it worked a treat. As i was getting the cache down a muggle came past and i had no choice but to let them know what i was up to. He ended up showing me a Koala nearby. So once i got the cache back in place i went over to see the Koala looking down at me . Thanks Brislions for all the fun

Was in the area doing some shopping so decided to come and do this quick multi. Information gathered and I made my way to GZ. A quick retrieve, signed and replace. I have been to this area a few times but never ventured in this direction before. Interesting little place. TFTC.

Made a plan to catch up with TeamARF for a quick paddle this morning. Thankfully he had his large fishing pole handy and I was able to make the find on this whilst in the vicinity. All in all a very lovely way to spend a Sunday morning.

23-Nov-23
My last caching time before flying back to Melbourne later today. A mix of targets, mainly tree fishing or climbing, making use of the tree fishing pole I had borrowed for the trip. Those famous words just one more cache. This is my last cache for the morning, but the 3rd time ive said it. Forgot this one was so close to the office and being unlikely to return with the required TOTT I ducked down here and got the job done. Fairly quiet here this morning so was able to go about my business relatively unnoticed. TFTC!

25-Oct-23
After a close by appointment, decided to take the long way home to check out the caches around Bob's place. At the park found an unaccompanied empty shopping trolley, a stack of cardboard without any real purpose and a camper trailer enjoying some shade. With a heap of random numbers on a writing pad, came up with some useful coords for this multi. I do enjoy one step, straight forward multis!!With the giant size TOTT, grabbed the cache container for signing. As I was signing the log, the branch that the cache clung to decided to follow gravity and hit me on the shoulder. Now where do I put it. Found a comparable branch to the one that assaulted me. Cute park Brislions, well worth bringing a fishing rod and a yak to.

A spot of fishing after work? Well why not. Denuding the tree perhaps not! Tftc

Solved the puzzle after watching a movie nearby with the family, but didn't have the car with the pole in it, so a return visit was in order.

Took a wander then found the container. Pole was at full extension but still managed ok

Find #12891 @ 15:12
Thanks Brislions for giving us a reason to visit.

Down in SEQ for a few days to celebrate the life of a caching ambassador and a great friend Karicka. It’s more than likely he’d found this one.

Back in BrisVegas to grab some rare DT targets today with BenM70 and greencordial.

Not for the first time this weekend, my maths skills (up to twelve times tables) came in handy here while Ben was scratching his head.

Seems that the poles in SEQ must be shorter than those up North. Perhaps because of the cooler temps or maybe it’s just previous finders rehanging them lower than when initially placed. Either way we were happy to pick up the generous difficulty ratings.

Thanks Brislions for adding to my day.

16-Sep-23

The trio of burgo, greencordial and myself went to pick out a few caches that took our fancy for one reason or another. This had a neat D/T for a multi. Hopefully one I don’t have prior.
A pleasant little park this is, with an to be snared. Maths done and confirmed for good measure, the short walk made way for a jiggling hook in the breeze. A couple of snags and a good strike before we did what all good geocacher do before placing it back. It was suggested that it should be higher but that’s where I retrieved it from.
Thanks Brislions for placing this Multi-Cache for my find # 4483

GCAAK24 Bob Bell Park

Solved this yesterday but left my pole at home.
Returned today as I was in Brendale.
Took a while to spot as I was focused on the wrong tree. Retrieved with ease. Returned with much difficulty. Need to work on my arm strength.
The koala that was near my car yesterday was no where to be seen today. I wonder how far they travel?

Another enjoyable day out caching with Duppers. We headed here to turn these into smiley faces.

This made for a quick find. After improvising using two fishing rods, we soon had the cache in hand. Putting it back proved a bit more difficult as our improvised rods were a bit wobbly.

In the area today for an early morning CITO and afterwards picking up a few caches here and there.
Joined forces with hatzofff, RoddyC, Imbunda & grannysmith1947 as 'The Team Geo'.
After a couple of little hikes, it was all about going tree fishing, resting the legs, but testing out the neck muscles.
Lovely park area here, and with sums worked out quickly, it was time for a bit of exercise. Cache was spotted on arrival, but my goodness, the retrieval process was long and much, much longer to replace with winds picking up. Decided to move position and with more branches to rest the pole on and with a break in the wind, cache was finally put back exactly as found. Now, to click the neck back in to position and on to some alphabet angling.

Thank you, Brislions, for placing this cache for our benefit and enjoyment, a favourite point from me

Shazzar66 and I met at Bob Bell Park to do some kayak-caching. Specifically to tick off a couple of trads near Pine Rivers Park that had been staring at us and mocking us.

After our paddle, we had to knock this one off too. Shazzar66 had been here previously but had some confusion with numbers, A's & B's and which went where, but I sorted it out and had a likely looking location for a cache.

At GZ, both of our fishing rods and some duct tape were used to get to the cache, Shazzar66 going the work, me standing watching (as usual). As we were fishing, a muggle walked past. We ignored him.

The cache was retrieved, log signed and everything returned to its spot. As we were un-sticking our fishing rods, the muggle came past and curiously asked us what we were doing. We explained, and he said, "Ah Geocaching. I haven't done that for ages. I must have another look". Who knows, Brislions, there might be another local cacher to come.

Thanks for the cache.

I (minus Alyce) was invited to join Chamad and Willis007 (the OG crew) for a morning expedition on the Pine. We meet at the car park around 7am, got the yaks ready than got started on this multi.

After a short walk we noted down the required numbers, did a little magic and had our final destination.

Once at GZ we had no issue spotting the hide than lowered it down to earth for signing duties.

Thanks for bringing us here.

Out and about early this morning, I was meeting some fellow cachers before kicking off a lovely paddle down the river.
This one was quickly spotted, and once down to earth the log was signed. After putting it back on its perch, I was off to meet the others.
Thanks Brislions for a fun multi and the cache.

I am a few challenges short of qualifying for the Challenging July Challenge. I also have a number of nearly finished challenges involving multi's. So, the aim today was to complete a nice big loop around the northside of Brisbane picking up Challenges, Multi's and the odd interesting cache along the way.

No problems collecting the clues here and soon enough I was at the final. I recently broke my tree fishing pole and ended up buying a new one - a little longer than before. This cache provided a good opportunity to test it out at nearly full extension. It passed with flying colours.

This was my 17th multi this month so far. Many thanks Brislions

With a day off work I decided to head north to target a few of the newer caches on offer…

I pulled up at the posted coordinates and found the required info without issue… I did the required mental gymnastics and projected my final… ummm… I didn’t bring a boat…

There appears to be a typo in the description… 153 versus 152… making the correction before changing into my speedo’s…

This was anything but a quick catch’n’release… getting back was taxing… on my toes, full stretch and just enough breeze to make it interesting…

Thanks Brislions

I visited the posted coordinates as my first stop this morning prior to unloading and preparing my kayak. A familiar initial set of digits, and I had no issues with making the quick crunch of the coordinates prior to sunrise.

After my boating expedition, I had the appropriate tool in hand, and took the walk to GZ. I managed to spot the cache reasonably quickly, and after using a significant portion of my TOTT, I made the successful retrieval. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Brislions for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

----------

This early morning, I had my kayak loaded on the vehicle, and subsequently I took a trip to Strathpine and paddled South Pine River chasing a newly published geocache. Cool weather conditions were welcome, and just trying to get a fitness session prior to the rain forecast across the next few days. I then conducted a couple of tree fishing and climbing caches before repeating the kayak preparation and paddle session from Dohles Rocks boat ramp. I had time to detour pass a couple of Bracken Ridge tree fishing geocaches prior to work.

Today was an awesome day of just leisure caching around Strathpine and then towards Narangba. The trip today consisted of myself, Karicka, Marcussjd9 and, all the way from the UK, Dixie-gooner. There was a slight plan with a few special caches for the locals and then there were the ones as we passed for the new or overseas guys. There was a huge variety of caches, some particular spaces on grids were filled, and there was some great laughs along the way. I am sure our overseas guest got in a few nice caches to add to his list and some different lga’s.
We parked up and walked up to this one. A relatively easy find here and I offered my pole to Marcus to fish this one down. His first tree fish and not to bad after a few tries.
We signed the log as “the boys” and placed the cache back in its hide. On to the next one!

30/06/2023 - 10:03So with my dad, dixie_gooner, a seasoned Cacher visiting from the UK; we attended the Logan Geocaching event last night as a family. He quickly made acquaintance with Chamad and Karicka and put together an itinerary for a day of caching today. As a baby cacher I was fortunate enough to tag along. The whole experience was truly eye opening for me and the amount I learnt from the three of them was immense. There were a great selection of caches, some of which were new to all of us but all of which were new to me! It was a great day with 'The boys', which was our honorary team name for the day. Chamad kindly lent me use of his pole (not a euphemism) and I had my first crack at tree fishing. Turns out Im not a natural and no better at it than I am at actual fishing. However, if at first you dont succeed then try and try and try and try again. Eventually the job was done, the log was signed, and by some sort of miracle eventually returned.Milestone cache for me and a great bunch to share the moment with.marcussjd9#118TFTC

I attended the Logan Geocaching event last night and met Chamade and Karicka. A plan was hatched for a day of caching today, which was a bit of a magical mystery tour. Their waa a great selection of caches, old, new and damn right fun. It was a great day with 'The boys', which was our team name for the day.

No issues at the posted co ords and we headed over to the final. At GZ Marcussjd9 did the honours on his first fishing cache

Starting to relax this afternoon until a BING! almost dropped everything …. Good thing I was able to dive in to catch it all before we shot off towards WP1. We arrived at the Posted coordinates and jumped out of the car to grab the necessary information to work out the finals. After a wee walk we spied the cache & today was similar to a recent run of ing caches; no real problems to retrieve, but replacing was more of a challenge. joint FTF with my partner in crime.
