An afternoon in Mt Pilot NP collecting a few caches and enjoying the spring weather and the glorious wildflowers.Solved this when it came out and finally collected today. Lots of Hibbertia in flower along the track and some nice orchids as well. Quick find after a short walk (probably could have driven closer but never know with these tracks).TFTC The Lost Wanderers

Found with catnap777 @ 12:10pm Big GrinIt took us a Christmas and one more Cachemas to get here, but we did eventually get to answer the kids Christmas question. RazzSpot on coords brought us to a clean and dry cache where we signed our names under that of skullracing. [^]TFTC The lost wanderers and....Mery Cachemas. Cool

30 August 2024 12:06 After a night spent in Wodonga after driving from Tatura picking up my daughter from Malvern, back to Tatura picking up dalerious, then driving to Wodonga where we crashed for the night. After all that, we were not in a hurry to get out of bed, so this was our first cache for the day in Chiltern. Ended up staying around the general area caching some extraordinary sites. This Christmas Cachemas puzzle was solved a while back, but today was the first chance to ho and look for it.Thank you The lost wanderers kids for creating it.

We were enjoying an afternoon out in the forest on a warm sunny afternoon, and this one was solved by the Queen on the fly as we drove down the freeway. It was a nice drive in, and we ooohhed and aaahhhed at the giant rock outcrops in the vicinity. The Queen found the cache at GZ and we signed our lives away in the peace and quiet.Cheers

A lovely sunny winter's day after a miserable wet and cold week...So we decided to make the most of it and chase some unloved caches in the Chiltern Mt Pilot National Park, this TDOC23 cache popped up along the way, it was a quick solve thankfully, our 3rd TDOC23 cache !!!Thinking the roads might be a bit muddy, we were pleasantly surprised with only a few deep water crossings and ruts to navigate in the 4WD geovehicle, TFTC The lost wanderers

I was in the need for an afternoon drive in the bush. Thought I may start here and grab a solved puzzle. I was unsure what the road condition would be like, but it was quite ok. The CX5 handled well. A nice easy find. Log signed and returned as found

Find number 12784 at 12:51:47pm on Wednesday the 3 January 2024Travelling from Goughs Bay to Wodonga today on a round about route to grab some targetted geocaches before I head back to Melbourne tomorrow also grabbing a few targetted geocaches along the way. Staying overnight with muggle friends to explain why it takes us sooooooo long to travel anywhere Big GrinLooked at the exact coordinates without finding a sausage, circled all around and over the place with not luck. Came back to the exact coordinates again for a quick find, DOH, I hate it when that happens Smile**Thanks for placing this cache The lost wanderers**---Don't miss finishing the Ballarat GeoTour before it ends on 4th March 2024. Out on a 2 day TDOC road trip with McLookers, feathertop and micaparamedic and this was our next stop. Certainly a drive in the country to get here, and once at GZ, the cache was found without issue.

Thanks for another one The lost wanderers...

On a cachemas quest up in the north.
A bit of a convoluted drive into here but all good at gz.
Thanks for your contribution to this series

This was our last day of our caching holiday to Canberra and Sydney, we are now basically targeting Adventure Labs and whatever TDOC caches that we can get to in a reasonable time.
We did the adventure lab in chiltern first and then headed of to this one, our first TDOC for today.
It was quite a nice drive to gz with only one little boggy patch that didn't cause any problems which was a big releif as we weren't sure how much rain the area had had. We stopped close to gz and wandered off following the GPSr and wound up with a nice quick find and after adding our name to the log we returned everything as it was.
Many thanks to the lost wanderers kids for the enjoyable puzzle and the nice hide at gz.

Merry Cachemas to you all.

Found with PapaGrouch. We were heading to Eldorado for an event tonight but stopped to get this one on the way.
The first road we tried was labelled as a dry weather road but we gave it a try. A couple of puddles and a creek crossing later we came to a small lake, PapaGrouch thought we could get through but the car was heading down and there was still a way to go, he checked out the door and decided backing out was a good idea. We made our way around to an alternative road and this went a lot better, a few spots he took slowly as he wasn't sure how his relatively new car would cope but it has better clearance than his old one so no problem.
We arrived at GZ and I headed across and found the cache while he was still changing his shoes, he took too long. Back the way we had come and onto Eldorado, where we met up with the CO and his family.

Out with the family today caching around Mt Pilot NP and Eldorado before tonight's event. I must have missed the notification when this one was published. Solved it on the side of the road with some help from the kids. Nice drive along a track I haven't been down in a long time. Bit of light rain but a nice peaceful spot. TFTC!

Well done kids on those tricky questions about Christmas. We certainly discovered some interesting trivia during our research. We had a bit of excitement making our way to the cache as well! We found a large rotten tree had fallen across the road, and set about clearing it. Luckily another vehicle with a couple of young guys with more muscles stopped to help. That job done and we were on our way to GZ. SL at 11.30am Left: Christmas in July pathtag and wrist band. TFTC and the unexpected gift The lost wanderers. #10, 065

I can't say I have ever heard of the Aussie version on the 12 days of Christmas!
Some interesting questions in that group.
Who would have thought that film was the highest grossing Christmas movie of all time?
We collected our answers, but could not get the checker to agree until a question was changed.
Then it was off in BettyBoo3747's Suby to see how close we could get.
Luckily, it hasn't rained for a while and the roads were OK.
A [FTF] for here today.
Thanks, Robmc.

#21,240. {FTF} at 11.45am with Robmc.

I was pleased to see a TDOC cache published that was not too far away. Well it sort of was by the time we reached GZ in my old Subaru taking the long way around in case she couldn't manage the dirt roads that we might have to navigate.

We were being rather tardy this morning and by the time we had the coordinates sorted and the checker agreed we loaded up the car and headed off. Quite a pretty area through here, especially at present with lush greenery all around. Rob retrieved a familiar-looking container and we were surprised to see a blank log book. We added our names and returned via the way we had arrived, just in case there were any unpleasant surprises if we continued on.
