Easy find Thank you Started to rain and did not complete log bookDont want it to get wet
TFTC - lovely morning for a walk along the stream always a bonus to find a cache
(9808) An early start for a bit of caching. Headed to the Hutt to get the last of the A to Z series. Being early on a Sunday morning meant nothing was stirring and the area was very quiet. Thanks ThatDarnBear for taking the time to place the series and for bringing me here.
This was my first attempt at geocaching on my own. Until now I haave been out with a friend and Grandchildren. Great hide which was relatively eady to fine.Thank you,
Wanted to come out to this one for both geocaching and professional reasons. I had a good laugh at the combination of the sign and the gate Quick find once I turned my brain on! TFTC!!
Out this way running some errands during the week with enough spare time to sneak on some caches. Quick find, then onto the next one. Tftc
Did a nice easy loop today starting at Te Whiti Park and along the west bank of the Waiwhetu stream and back along the east. Picked up three caches on the way this one being our turning point. Much less walking (and a lot less uphill) than our usual expeditions and much more fruit!
10 January 2024 20:03. O is for out and about.... A beautiful summer evening, so I headed over here for a quick find. Cache in great condition, TFTC LL113 for placing this cache, number 13253 for me.
Quick park and grab after work - simple but clever hide. No muggles so was on my way again in no time. Cache nice and dry and tucked away again as found, now has a new logsheet as original full. Am loving this series - TFTC LL113
#13,461. I had a busy day at work with meetings running almost nonstop from 8am. So it was time to shut down the laptop and go caching. Miss E needed a driving lesson so off we went to Lower Hutt. Been a while since I last visited this area. Wandered over to GZ and saw a good hiding spot and yep there was the cache. Nicely done. Signed the logsheet and replaced as found. Thanks LL113 for the cache. Enjoying this series. Favourite for all the effort you have put into hiding these.
Went out hunting for some caches before this afternoon's event. Parked up in front of the closed gates and soon found a suspicious item. Signed and replaced, and another A-Z done. All good here, and TFTC
Arrived at GZ -a familiar place as I am sure there was another cache hiding here some years ago- to find a duck snuggling up in the middle of the grass. Not wanting to disturb the duck (I am unsure if it was sick or not) I walked around the edges of the grass and as close as possible to the wall to get to GZ. After I signed the log I returned to the car the same way. I am sure the duck was watching my every move as each time I looked at it an eye was looking at me -but I never saw the head move.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache LL113.

Flowerydaze and I travelled down from kapiti to attend bruzie's August Happening in Petone on a particularly cold, windy and rainy day. Not wanting to only attend one event we decided to add in some caches from the A-Z of Lower Hutt. Nice little hide. TFTC LL113
Another nicely hidden cache in this series.
We had targeted 10 of this series today, and found 9 of them. I was pleased, because the weather was awful, blowing a gale and freezing cold, but we had a plan and we stuck to it. We visited some spots today that we did not know existed, and were rewarded at the end by bruzie's August happening event in Petone. Thanks for the cache LL113.

To keep things ticking over, I decided to see if I could achieve a quick after work find before heading home. Everything went to plan here, firstly with plenty of parking available. As I approached the cache site, I noticed something worth checking and I wasn't really surprised to see that was the place where the nicely hidden cache was located.
Good coordinates and not many options meant this was a straight forward find today. With the gate closed I would have stood out hanging around this location but fortunately there was nobody around. TFTC.
Another lunchtime diversion to find O for Orsome, I mean Open Polytech. Not too much of a diversion from the corridor I often commute during lunchtime. On approach the location of interest was clear and weren't many places to hide a cache so I didn't even look at the phone again to check my position let alone look at any hint. I found a couple of candidate hiding places but quickly found the correct one. It was slightly tricky to get my fingers onto it as there didn't seen to be a mechanism to stop people returning it in an inaccessible way. Only P and Q left for me now. TFTC!

Maybe it's a generational thing but I was led to believe that in New Zealand, O is for Awesome!
Luckily I didn't bump into David Tua at GZ, but having zoomed out of the door with the Seagnoid, we did bump into Yeti instead.
A simple hide, done well. Co-ords are super accurate and the Hint did the rest. Thanks for setting this one up LL113, which gets yet another FP from me. Perhaps I ought to be glad that you haven't crafted this series on a larger alphabet :p

A quick find.
A little tricky to extract, put back so it is still well hidden but relatively easy to grab.

Good accurate coordinates led me straight to this one and it was in the first place I checked. Signed log, TFTC!

It's day four of this months Wheel of Challenges challenge, the streak, and after some life maintenance I was ready to head out for todays find. For a number of reasons I chose to head to the Hutt Valley and after battling the regular night road works I arrived at about the same time as this new cache appeared. That was lucky - ok, they have been coming out recently at a similar time each night so I may have timed my arrival just in case.
I was not far away from the new location, and so headed over as fast as suburban traffic will allow, and arrived mere seconds after the Seagnoid and TwigNZ. A nice quiet location in the evenings, and the cache was quickly spotted tucked away in its hiding spot.
A quick catch up with the other two, and then it was back home for dinner. With just three letters left I wonder where tomorrows adventures might take me.

Thanks to LL113 for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.

For some reason my flatmate thought a cache might be published today. "Why? Had you heard something?" "No, just that there has been a bunch lately". So we kept a close eye on the emails and suddely it came through, just as he predicted. I grabbed one more mothfull of dinner and we headed out the door.
So TwigNZ and I arrived at GZ, and YetiNZ arrived a minute later. The cache was a nice easy classic find, without the hint (is there a hint??). Found in the dark, in the lightest rain I have ever seen.
Many thanks for the {FTF}, and for helping keep the July Challenge rolling along.
