Another delightful day of caching in the Millicent area. It was a mild day with cloud and at occasionally some very light drizzle, but mostly fine. This was the afternoon part of our day out.We saw some wonderful coutryside, lots of birds, plenty of cattle and sheep and even a wombat late in the day up close near Beachport. The ocean looked great this afternoon, We found some terrific caches. Thanks to hevwalker for this cache at this old campsite location.
An interesting campsite here, it has taken over the sign and the vegetation has grown back, cache easily found and is all goodThis weekend Courtneyrose_ and I headed to Mount Gambier for Morgo the Geos 500th Parkrun. Today being solo heading home I made my way from Millicent to Adelaide finding unfound caches around the SE. Thanks for the cache
After completing a personal challenge in SA of finding 10,000 physical caches there we are now heading from Beachport back to Portland aiming to grab a couple of caches along the way on roads not normally traveled if the weather permits. The rain had started to ease so we thought that we would try our luck at this one and it must have been meant to be as the rain stopped as we pulled up.It looks like it is quite awhile since this used 2b a camp site but it was probably used quite a bit when it was available. Now it has turned into an access point for th is cache and a nice little walk through the bush.We were really happy that the GPSr directed us straight to gz even with the heavy clouds and trees where we located the cache in the first place we looked. After adding our name to the log book we returned everything as found. Many thanks for bringing us to this location.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Robe for a few days to grab some finds. Beautiful winters day as we range to Rendelham and Beachport tidying up straggler caches. Thanks for the hide. LNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are now based in beautiful Robe and exploring the wild coastline and countryside. TFTC. LNCU
Found with CPwanderer on day 2 of our journey south. Looks like it hasn't been a campsite for some time.TFTC hevwalker

I question if this is a large, i expect a large to be a 20 liter bucket or at something that size. quick find.Found with Mogni. I think this is the most changed trip in the planning stage that i have ever been on. The " original trip " was supposed to start on the 31st of dec but at the start of December life changed and the trip was now starting on the 26th of December and all accommodation that had booked cancelled and now see what else is free on the earlier dates. A major readjust of plans and got 1/2 the trip booked before the next curve ball came in to alter the plans again. More adjusting the plans again and i realized i could host 2 CITO's in 2 different LGA's in Victoria. What we do to qualify for Victorian challenge caches. Also i got my 20, 000 cache over in Victoria in this trip. It was decided in the end that the 4x4 was going to be the vehicle for this trip that way we could go and target all the caches that you never get, the ones down the sandy/rocky/dirt and forestry roads/tracks. We left Adelaide and headed to Casterton for a couple of days, then to Budj Bim National Park ( and saw 5 koalas in the camp ground high up in the trees ), then over Heywood, a night in Mount Gambier plus there attended the 3rd CITO of the trip before sending a few nights in Millicent and then finally home. Over 250 caches found plus 86 lab caches. Mogni also got her 11th D/T loop. I also got 3 more Victorian LGA's up to 20 finds minimum for another Victorian challenge cache. If the cache was broken/eaten/smashed it was replaced with a new container and if the log sheet was wet it was replaced and if the log was full or almost full extra log sheets were added to the cache.
Christmas holidays means caching trip with sir_spectre. This year we managed to attend 3 CITO's, claim 2 FTF's, visit lots of Adventure Labs and claim many smilies.Caches that needed some love got it, and we might of even hidden a few too.As a bonus I got to catch up with my family and some friends along the way. Thanks to GeocachingSA from mogni .
After reading a previous finders log I looked around and spotted the easy way in and made the find, I should take more notice of the descriptions, the size of the container was quite unexpected. Nice place to cache too so I will give it its first fav point.
I used to be a watching beta tester and now I am a finder.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Today we headed to Beachport which has lots of new caches since our last visit. We did have a couple of dnf but more than happy with our 12 cache haul for the day. This one was a nice quick find. TFTC
Found with hevwalker. And Omg, after climbing through, over and under the natural environment that was determined not to let us through with ease, we got excited when we came across the lake edge and a more open area. We had the cache in hand quickly, as I went to take a photo of hevwalker I called out ....omg...check behind you......there not far away was her car....we took the track less traveled before taking the clearer track back to the car....what an adventure..lol.
Having caching withdrawals, scramping came and we ended up at this location. As all good geocachers do we took the hard way in. We missed the clear path and fell over logs, pushed our way through reeds and ducked under branches until we finally reached the cache. OMG!! we could see the car, parked on the road, very clearly from where we ended up.We found the cache, signed the logbook and placed the cache back as found. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment
TFTC !! Love it when new ones are made / created in Beachport area. Dance Laugh Sparkle - Big Smiles
We were the first people to find it again! Leila found it real easy while we were looking for an other cache. Flooded so we looked for this one. TFTC
