Something special or unusual goes here:A nice quick puzzle solve so alll that was left was to stop and find the cache. [^] I have done this highway trip, many, many times before so there was only one cache along the Highway that I hadn't done. This one. I stopped and looked as the last few logs. Razz Carry the ladder with me or not. [?] bucketeer didn't need one. So I decided to have a squizzie first. Wink Looks do-able so up I went and was soon reaching out to grab the wise old owl by the tail to pull it closer. [^] It was then that I remembered I left the phone in the car. Surprised Don't fall and break a leg. I didn't and added my stamp to the logs. SmileThe Generic Bit:The 2024 Geocaching Victoria Event Crawl: Cool DAY 1. Home to Kaniva. Two days of traveling over from S.A. and three days of Events, numerous Adventure Labs, lots of fun, mishaps, and even a few caches found as we crawled around in search of smilies. Find # 14575Been a while since I've been out solo for a long trip. But things change over time. And I'm living the past.So with some time off work, I've jumped the border wall to chase down some long trails in South Aussie... don't know how many I'll get. But I've got quite a few downloaded. I do have a short hit list ( of 2) caches to help with a challenge. All others are just for the Adventure and countryside views. Armed with all the necessary TOTT from tweezers and magnet grab to 6m ladder and 8m fishing pole. I believe I'm prepared for all that I'll come across. (Just had to leave the Kayak at home )Day 1 home to Murray Bridge. Managed a clear road to pull in here. Thankfully cache was a logical grab. With the right tool. TFTC Jamms_SA

Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in late Tuesday night then packed the Geowagon and headed off to SA early Wednesday morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Well after crossing the border the other day and staying in Millicent, Wellington, Cape Jervis, Kingscote and Im now in Adelaide for a week and it has finally come to an end. With the Leap Year Mega done and dusted which was fantastic and I had an absolute ball its time for a couple of events later this morning and then to start heading home.I got up early today and left the motel to tackle a couple of caches that turned into 11 with plenty of walking involved. Then it was the last 2 events for me before jumping in the Geowagon and heading back to Victoria.Making my way back down the Dukes Hwy towards the border. This is a puzzle that my poor old brain could handle and it was on the return home list.Parked the Geowagon and headed off to GZ with the TOTT under my arm. What would think if they were at the parking area and saw me walk off with my TOTT.The great cache guardian was soon spotted and it let me add my name to the log. Thanks Jamms_SA TFTC.

Continuing on with my South Australian caching tour and the mad collection of caches in the state. I am again part of the BOLD 7 team doing the mad assault on as many caches as we can. Today is going to be a mad long day as I am driving to Mt. Gamber and surrounds to chase some LGAs and some special caches. So glad to have finished off over the 300 of the Bike series, the ice cream cone art was fun, the anna tommy art was hot, the stayla challenges were cool. Now to move onto a different area of the state. OH the big Lobster is on the cards today. Love a Big Thing rings true today. First off today is the morning event. Was nice to see so many people turn up to the event. From there it was off on the drive. I am really loving the countryside of this state and the people are friendly while still watchful of you. We signed the caches as BOLD 7 and replaced them as we found them. Thanks for the hides and the great caches. Mum we will be late home.

Three of us heading to LGA hunt today. Lots of scenery and enjoying our impressive country. Thanks to all the SA COs for fab caches!

28-Feb-24
How very exciting the big trip has finally arrived! Down from Brisbane with a host of other geo friends with plans aplenty, enough to almost see us needing to extend or make a return visit. Our geonick for the trip is BOLD7 which is guaranteed to save the log paper for the 7 individual members of the team. As we make our way around sadly there wont be time for the usual individual logs and therefore just the old generic log will have to do. With little extra notes here and there if needed. Thank you for your cache which has added to my wonderful caching holiday. Will check for qualifying back at home later.

**Today:**On an epic roadtrip with DSD for the SA Leap Day mega! We woke up in Millicent this morning with a destination of Murray Bridge, via my first ever event in SA at Tailem Bend Motorsport Park, which is up there with the best venues I have attended an event in! The SFE Challenges near Millicent were the first target, before we cherry-picked our way via high DTs and county chasing! Thanks to all COs for an awesome day!**This Cache**Solved this in the passenger seat whilst we were approaching Keith, as it sounded like a fun one to break up the trip! No problems getting some coords and we were soon pulling up to GZ! Lugged the ladder from the parking and soon arrived to set it up & ascend to the cute hide! Great cache, many thanks!

Thanks for the Cache and the Adventure. Signed DSD

We left Portland this morning heading to Tailem Bend for the pre mega event there tonight hoping to grab a couple of ad labs as well as anything else we passed by.Knowing we would be coming across here for the mega we concentrated on solving puzzles that we hoped to get to on this visit. We met up with micaparamedic, Mclookers and Connie&Rickin Keith and discussed this cache and as McLookers had the right equipment on board we were able to search for it.It was a nice easy find at gz of a well themed cache and the log book now contains our names. Many thanks for the puzzle and the hide, a favourite point from us.

27-Feb-24
Out with McLookers, Micaparamedic and Team Crackers. A quick solve for the puzzle and a quick climb, always easy when one in the team has the TOTT.

Day #3 Leaping Forward AdventuresAfter an early morning wake up call by the Cockatoos at the aptly named Cockatoo Lake (I really should pay more attention!!!), and a morning chat with TheMorris who I hadnt realised was also setup nearby, it was off for the day.I spotted this one on the map, so quickly solved it on the side of the road. It was a short walk in from the reserve carpark and a step or two later the cache was in hand. Thanks Jamms_SA for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! A few spare days to fill before Christmas so I made the decision to hit the road and go on a road trip from Adelaide to Ballarat. The main purpose of the trip is to tackle the Ballarat Geo Tour before they get archived in February 2024. Day one was hand long drive from Adelaide to Ballarat. Of course I stop off several times to stretch my legs and to grab some caches along the way. A short walk led me to GZ from the car park. A nice little tree climb. Thanks for the cache Jamms_SA.# # SmileSmile #13670 SmileSmile # #

Solved this one when it came out, today pulled over off the highway and made the walk into this one, up I climbed and the cache was stamped and returned. This week I decided to head to Victoria for a few days to target finishing off the Ballarat Geotour and also find the new series in St Arnaud, anything else was a bonus. I ended up finding a little over 300 caches plus a tonne of ad labs along the way. Thanks for the cache

Very cool stop and beautiful little cache. One more FP !Greetings from the Yukon and France

Needed a ladder there. That is two trips to the car and cache. Do the trucks ever stop?I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. What a change of plans for this weekend. We were expecting to be in Bendigo and here we are in the Gawler area and then into North Adelaide to attend a CITO. Caching is like a box of chocolates you never know what you will get or where you will be. We had a few DNF's today, all the caches that we found were in good order. All in all we had a great day. SL TFTC

Logging as a beta tester. The person that made the puzzle and the person that placed the cache. On my last trip past this park i thought it be a nice spot for a cache. This time i brought a themed cache container and a ladder.

Along with our travelling and caching companions the Suscoes we made an early start from Bordertown and set out for Murray Bridge. Of course there were many stops to stretch our legs and look for caches! The world could do with a few more of these "Wise Old Owls"

Thanks to Jamms_SA for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Suscoe and Phetlern were heading to Murray Bridge today.
It was a lovely sunny August day, a cool start but then it warmed up to the low 20's.
We found a good range of caches and enjoyed our trip heading north west up the highway.
Thanks to Jamms_SA for this interesting cache.
A favourite from us.

This cache was published a few days before we left Tassie for Adelaide. As the cache was on our planned route, we took a closer look and soon had confirmed coordinates.

After staying in Keith overnight, this cache was our first hunt early this morning. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a very well designed and presented cache. We used our ladder to retrieve the inner container housing the logbook. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Jamms_SA for the puzzle and cache - it earns a favourite from us.
