Logs
Here we are finally in Wallan to gather up some unfound caches and a new AdLab published this year. We think we have tried for this one before, but couldnt find a safe place to park. Solved that difficulty today and off we headed to GZ. SL at 2.25pm TNLN #11,312 TFTC TreeTrio
Found by The Empire + HWe left Bright in the morning, the crisp mountain air still fresh as we set off on our drive back to Melbourne. The early light cast a soft glow over the landscape, highlighting the mist clinging to the hills and the dewy greenery along the roadside. The quiet streets of Bright slowly disappeared behind us as we made our way onto the winding roads leading out of the Alpine region.By the time we reached the open plains, the familiar sight of Melbourne on the horizon marked the end of our journey. The shift from the serenity of the mountains to the bustling energy of the city was striking, but the calm of the morning drive stayed with us, making the return feel more relaxed and reflective. A quick find before heading back to the freeway for the home stretch. Thanks for the cache TreeTrio.-M
This one took me awhile to find but when i did i had that a ha moment. Very clever and good use of the area. TFTC.
I come from granite country - I see Basalt up close! On the way out of marvellous Melbs and can see a future where the bits inbetween the expanding burbs meld. TFTC and the visit.
Parked on the bridge only to find out later that this wasnt the recommended parking spot. At least it didnt take long to find the cache.
TFTC nearly got wet feet trumping about. Amanda spotted and secured the find.
Geokids loved running along the rock walls here. Container intact, log slightly damp but still able to write in there. No need to replace yet TFTC
I decided to check on the cache after the recent rainfall in the area. 120mm of rain in 2 days. The cache needed maintenance as it was wet inside and the log book rather damp. Have taken home, to dry off and refresh the cache. It will be back in place late on the 13th of January.
Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. On approach I thought it was going to be a bison in the rocks, I had a nice surprise when omegaman pulled the cache from its hiding place. Thanks TreeTrio for the cache.
Omegaman1971Support Your Local Villain Live - Laugh - Lurk Caches Found: 12917First To Find: 149Sidetracked Cache Finds: 111I was out with Rebel Acts, putting some smiles on the map and having our final catch-up before Christmas. It was nice to revisit an area we hadn't been to in a while.Thank you for the cache!"
After noticing a recent DNF I decided to quickly check the cache, it's still there at the correct location. Have fun searching!
Haha easy find tried finding it at night and was very hard but daylight made it much easier
Found on a quiet run to fill another date on my caching calendar. TN, left a pathtag. TFTC
After reviewing the previous logs, my son and I went and performed a maintenance check on the cache, we live less than a km from the cache and indeed found the cache exposed and missing its base, which we found further down the creek. It had been MUGGLED, badly! We found the full cache container and log book, took all home, refreshed and replaced the cache within a couple of hours of getting an email from a concerned cacher. The cache is now listed as a PREMIUM cache, due to recent muggling.
Out and about with Echidna44, this poor cache had been vandalised, and strewn all over the place. We found the log (complete with rude words and drawings of particular parts of the male anatomy, which we tore out and disposed of), the plastic bag and the cache lid, but no cache bottom. We replaced the log in its plastic bag, and placed that under the lid and have let the CO know.
Out for a drive in the Darraweit Guim area with BoabTree,we arrived here to find the cache had been muggled. The logbook, plastic bag and lid had been scattered. We signed the book and replaced it under the lid, then notified the CO. Thanks Team_Seegs.
Parked at land sales carpark and walked over to GZ. The cache was a quick and easy find, the lag was signed and I was on my way. TFTC
About 15 years ago we were looking to purchase land in this estate to build our dream home but decided to move further in. This estate has changed dramatically since then!!
Easy cache though muggles decided it was a great place to sit looking over the creek as we arrived.
Be mindful of the ants pup was covered in them after sweeping past the bridge almost looked like a Dalmatian there was so many!!

Found by Mary and David at 10:35. We have been in our home for more than 40 years, long before wetlands or open spaces in new developments were dreamt of. Our block is a little larger though. Thank goodness for your hint. Our thanks to TreeTrio.
Popped in to check on cache. Repositioned to correct hide location, as it was exposed.
Disaster nearly struck! Sitting on the couch after a long day, my partner said "Did you get your cache?". I have been keeping a daily streak going since the start of the year and had totally forgotten about it. Back on went the clothes and I took off - timing being everything. Found this one at 11:48pm... thank goodness! The streak still stands. TFTC
Found it! The bush gave me a bit of a hard time, but it’s always fun to leave a signature on the first page of the log in a new geocache! The fountain wasn’t on when we got down there but it’s still a pretty spot!
Well the wheel of challenges for this month has been spun by HQ and it has come up with Streak Month.
This means that I will have a lot of detours and kilometres to do to keep my streak alive.
After a great day out yesterday at the Cachemas event I had plenty of things to do today so I headed out nice and early to find a couple to keep the streak alive.
I have travelled up the highway and across this stretch of the Wallan Whittlesea road plenty of times and I can I now say I know how to get into the estate that you drive past coming down the Hume Wallara Waters.
A nice entrance into the estate.
It didn’t take too long to locate the cache as I was watching my footing.
Thanks for showing me this great spot.
Thanks Team_Seegs TFTC.

{FTF} Well living in Wallan certainly helps with the FTF. I saw this pop up and just finished work so raced to the GZ had a quick search and followed the clues. Success. Took a quick photo of the fountain with the sun setting behind it what a glorious day. TFTC
