As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Using the final co-ords supplied by Biggles Bear I attended the site and alass the fire has claimed the cache
Given that the signs seem to have been burned.
The cache, if it is still there can be found at;

Whilst I didn't have the clues with me when we stopped for lunch unexpectedly, a lot of the signs in the area have been burnt, including the road signs.
Due to the proximity of the bushfires [:o]and the closure of all roads and tracks in the area to all but essential traffic, it might be wise to temporarily disable this cache
We haven't been to this area for more than 30 years, but we used to spend every available weekend that we could 4wding around here. The changes to this area were remarkable, some like this one were for the better, others we're not too sure of. We collected all the required information, D had us confused for al little while but re reading the question soon put us on the right track and the cache was soon in hand. A great cache for our 1500th as Scooby Doo is one of my favorite cartoons as well.
TNLN
Thanks Biglgles Bear for bringing us back to this area
PS. We were listening to Scooby Doo (1 and 2) at times over this weekend because Fullonphill had it on DVD to help keep Emily amused.

Found at 12.35pm
This was adventure, we started this cache the day before, but had some difficulty finding clue D.
We found some information nearby that led us to the wrong location.
After hunting for 45mins we retired for the day to assess our position.
We discussed the cache with BB and found our co-ord error.
Armed with the correct co-ords the cache was an easy find.
Cache is in good condition.
A lovely area to explore.

Thanks

After a wonderful weekend attending the 21st Birthday event, we could not leave the area without completing this cache, and we are glad we did.
After parking the 4x4 Shelby set off in search of the clues while I read up on the history of the area. With historic photos scattered around it was easy to compare the surroundings with what life would have looked like years ago.
Once we had deciphered the clues we were off to the cache and it was found after a short walk.
Thanks again Biggles Bear we are glad we came along and equally happy we completed this cache.
TN – Left Lanyard.

Found at midday on a caching day with Juzmac. We were fortunate to spot all but one clue from the car, and made our way down to the cache site. Overshot the mark and with plenty of potential hiding spots we were wondering how long this would take. I spotted some tell-tale camouflage a little higher up and got the cache first. Took a rubber duck and left an Ikea polar bear. Thanks Biggles Bear!
Found on the way back from a great drive along the crooked river to black snake creek. In the vicinity to attend bb's '21 again' birthday celebrations. TNLN Thanks BB
Found after an interesting search of the area. The nearby campers totally ignored our racing around for clues. TNLN
One thing about cacheing is that it takes you to some great places. I love places like this, steeped in history and finding a multi here was great fun - searching for clues - just like Scooby Doo!!! Great location - TNLN. Ta!
Found at approx 1210 with GeoJo as we drove some of the closer tracks around Tabotville and area. We dropped in and had most of the clues before we'd even stopped at the info centre to read up on some of the history.
A lovely area and it's easily seen why it was chosen as a township with water reasonably close by.
Found the hiding spot pretty easily after doing a classic 'Magellan overshoot manoeuvre'.
Took hippo sticky notes and left torch carabiner
Thanks BB for the cache and history trip!

What a great Cache! Had a load of fun watching Zena run around (was it running from the flies, or for fitness?) Learnt a little history, but have a question - where did every last little bit of town remain disappear too? Took the game to play in the bath tonight, left the tape measure for those lucky enough to find that gold nugget
Too many places to look and not enough time. Travelled in with a group of friends on a four day high country excursion.
Located the necessary info easily enough but after 15 minutes decided to leave the cache til next time.

Found this with a "little help from our (new) friends" at 11.30 am after we packed up from Talbotville. Biggles Bear, Pyrenees Kid and Mikita were there with us and left us to our own devices. We started looking around for the clues, but unfortunately we mucked up two of them and consequently overshot GZ. We were pulled back by PK and then another gentle hint from BB1 got us to the cache.
Took - Light-up eraser
Left - ornamental fish
Thanks Biggles Bear

Found this cache after some time in company of Pyrenees Kid with Biggles bear watching. A fair climb for me back up the hill but enjoyed looking for the cache. I took nothing and left nothing. well hidden cache , Thanks biggles Bear.
Found this one with the company of Mikita and with Biggles bear watching from a distance.
A great cache with Mikita and I yelling out the answers to one another. Thanks Biggles, No exchange.

Found by Mary & David at 0930. Thankfully, no sign of any fires here either, and the roads were in very good shape. Thoroughly enjoyed the clue-collecting phase in an area a bit reminiscent of Steiglitz without the surviving buildings. What a scene this would have been in the 1860s, but now just memories of occupation being sustained by the Friends of Grant. Took a pack of cards, left a mouse figurine and a small photo frame. TB Wrx Synchronous also paid a visit. Our thanks to Biggles Bear for a great cache in a fascinating location.

Found at 10:50AM by Ray and Maya with Greg and Bev (Gahpee). The Nomads and Gahpee spent a very enjoyable weekend camping at Talbotville and touring the region. The Nomads took the Christmas labels and left some Hippo notes. Like Muzza has noted, the cache was easily visible some distance away, so hopefully, we have left it not quite so obvious for the next cacher. It was an interesting variation to have to search the site for the clues, rather than having their locations given to us. Unlike Muzza, we did not have the distraction of a thunder storm, though, I suspect that would have been quite spectacular up there. Thanks Biggles Bear for the adventure.
Found with the Nomads on our way to check out some of the 4wd tracks in the area (and find some river crossings for Maya!) A very historic and interesting place and so peaceful today that it is hard to imagine it as it once was. Nothing exchanged. Thanks to Biggles for giving us the incentive to visit this area. Greg and Bev
I first drove up to GZ yesterday on a dry surface. Unfortunately, the thunderstorm that had been threatening all day broke just before I arrived. I walked around the town under a golf umbrella in ever increasing rain, wind and lightening, hoping that the umbrella wouldn't act as a lightning rod. Once I had collected all the clues, I then headed for the cache.
This is where I ran into trouble. The satellite signals were poor. I could manage 1 or 2 only, and as soon as I entered the trees, the GPS had no idea where to go. I returned to the car for 20 minutes hoping the storm would die down but, alas, it didn't. At this stage I decided to abandon the search for the afternoon and return to Dargo before the Hotel meals finished.
Today, the rain had ceased, and all I needed to contend with was the fog. The signals were good and by the time I arrived at GZ, the fog had disappeared (temporarily as it turned out). I headed straight for the cache and, although my GPS was off by a little bit, I spotted the cache from about 20 metres off.
I took the dinosaur and replaced it with a pack of cards and some Christmas stickers. It is certainly a beautiful and interesting area. Although the road is a bit bumpy in places, there is no trouble getting in in a 2WD, even after a downpouring.
Thanks Biggles Bear for another excellent cache. Well done!
