This cache has had a string of recent DNF's. I'd recommend either temporarily or permanently archiving the cache (depending on communication with the Green Eagle). Cheers Gav
Temporarily disabling in light of the string of DNF's and the SBA note.
Could Green Eagle please advise via e-mail, their intentions with the maintenance of this cache.
Thanks, Neill [email protected]

Went back and spend 30-45 minutes looking around. I think it either needs archiving, or the hint needs improving. Cheers Gav
Wow. What a lovely walk through the bush, and the canopy walk was really neat. GPS coverage wasn't flash, so I resorted to the hint, easily found the rock face, but had no joy what-so-ever finding the cache. The hint could do with being a bit more specific. So no find, but enjoyed the walk through the bush. Cheers Gav
Hunted high (around the top) and low (the base of the falls) with no luck. It was a wet and slippery day so we did not dare too close to the edge!
Sadly, we didn't have the info on the cache with us (so no clues...) and the GPS reception wasn't so hot. Nice spot though.
We also thought we might have seen some other geocacher, studying his GPS in the carpark... but we see he hasn't logged a visit. Maybe it was just a coincidence? hmmm...

Didn't know these falls existed. Jamie found this one rather quickly. Nice little spot.
Out - Playing cards
In - Super glue 3-pack.
Cheers

walked down to the bottom of the falls first before going to the cache site, very slippy getting back up track
short look before finding, no swop.

FreeFall:Found after a bit of searching - The elephant's head is no longer with us. It is gone, deceased, demised or gone to the great elephant graveyard in the sky. Put in key fob, took nothing out. Cache in good condition.
Looked for the Elephant head - but could only see the 'bones' lying on the floor. Strangely enough the 'bones' were in close proximity to the cache. Coffee mug in - water bombs out.
OK, so I'm blind as a bat, luckily my wife saw the Elephant's head!!! Cache is in good condition.
Took out torch, put in playing cards.

We loved the elephant head! Once we finally found it, that is. Really we had no idea where we were going, stumbling around in the woods.
We are on vacation for a month from Canada and this is our first NZ cache. We never would have found this little reserve if it hadn't been for the cache! We saw our first kauri trees.
We are leaving Worf, who originated in Texas. He wants to seek out new worlds, and we hope he doesn't languish too long in the cache. Someone please come and pick him up!
Left a Canadian nickel, took nothing. Thanks for the cache!

As usual I went the long way. I am pleased I did What a lovely area. It reminded me of the streams and bush on Mt Egmont. Great to see young kauri trees.
Congratulations to the developers of the park.
I forgot my cache insert and it was to far to go back to get it.
Put nothing in and took nothing out.
Regards Phil

Great hiding spot, We were thrown by the water reference ending up too close to the river initially. Decided to backtrack when daughter spotted the elephant. Nice to see some quality goodies Decided to relocate knife and added thermal travel mug. Used to abseil here with my mate years ago - hasn't changed much. Filled a bag with rubbish on the way out...don't you just love cities?
