We snapped a picture of the available "Kiel" signs. It was sad to see so many homeless people in the blocks near this area. Thank you for the virtual cache.
Just a construction site at the moment, but nice to see it will be better set up on future and glad to get the background from the cache description. TFTVC.
Logged from my phone using Geocache Navigator by Trimble.
#2651 - Attempting Qty (15) virtual caches in a day to fulfill a Challenge cache back home in Northern VA. This was my 15th virtual for the day. Woo-hoo!!! Enjoyed reading the cache description with all its history. Hmmm, there's some major reconstruction going on at GZ but I still found a sign to take a photo with. TFTVC!! Looking forward to seeing its completion one day.

This type of cache is why I love caching so much. I have been to Vegas many times, and have never known about this story, and never would have known had it not been for geocaching. Thanks for telling us this story, and bringing me here. While I am sad that this area is currently under construction, I am excited to come back and get a better look once it is finished being worked on. Thanks!
Stopped by this work in progress today. We enjoyed the local history lesson.
After reading the cache page, 2Moore, Maryp53, Audie and I headed over to GZ to take the required picture. Wow such drama and history in Las Vegas. One of the many cool things about geocaching that I love is learning area history. Thanks for sharing the story with a cache.
I was out on a cache run with Shelle518, 2Moore and Audie3976. I have been to Vegas many times but never got to explore it they way I have while geocaching. Interesting history. Thanks for the virtual cache.
Caching with Friends Shelle518, MaryP53 and Audie3976 lots of fun, laughs and good caches. Thanks to all for placing caches for us girls to have fun hunting.
Interesting read and wow what history we learn while caching. Thanks for the virtual cache.

Wow interesting story! It is good to see done construction happening on the project! Will add our photo tonight! Thanks fir the cache- loved it !
Visiting the area for a couple weeks and gathering a few smilies today. We visited the GZ for this interesting Virtual, only to find that serious construction is underway, to create the new "Kiel Ranch Historic Park - Phase 1" The sign seems to be moved, so we took the picture of the construction details, attached. Hope this is sufficient. Could not gain entrance to the area, and the on-site workers seemed a bit put-off by our snooping around for the original sign. TFTC! Favorite Point from us.

We are in Nevada from Montreal Quebec to do the ET Highway power trail. Our group is composed of PatrickValerie, Tatie, JCLBA and myself. And we spent 3 days in Vegas.
We found that one on our second day in Vegas.

Made today a "Virtual" Cache day----in between a Buffet and some slots.
This was really interesting. It was like reading a western novel. A movie could have been made out of this story.
Thanks AkitaDad & AkitaMom for this Virtual and for keeping it when Geocache.com wanted to eliminate them. We are just happy that many were Grandfathered in. Thanks for keeping your Virtual going.

9909. Found this during our holiday around the USA.
Last full day in LV so it was time to visit some Virtuals. Sixth of the day. Started the walk back to Fremont via this one. A shame all that history has gone now. Worth the walk for this one !
Thanks again AkitaDad & AkitaMom !! Fav Point !
TNLN - TFTC !!
Cheers from Australia !

parked pretty close but had to be quick so we got all the pictures and headed off
Staying in Las Vegas for a few days and caching around the city while we are here as well has seeing some of the sights
Logged as "SAM" which is a team of three Sol De Lune, Albida33 and Mtrax. Visiting the US as a team for the 2nd time, our mission to complete the ET series but before and after do some more exploring and geocaching along the way. Our tour starts around Barstow and a few days in Las Vegas before caching over to 29 Palms before hitting the ET Highway straying at Rachel and Tonapah.
Our second stage of our trip saw us doing a loop around Wyoming, Nebraska, Sth & Nth Dakota and Montana before finishing back in Los Angles, our finds for the trip totalled well over 4,000 geocaches.

US14 ET Highway Trip with Sol de Lune and Mtrax. Day 8. We decided to spend the day getting as many of the Las Vegas Virtual's that we have not had a chance to do before. All but one went smoothly. e-mails have been sent to the owners by Sol de Lune, so if there are any issues, please refer to them. Only a quick stop here. Thanks.
