A day in Nashville chasing a few virtuals....well 26 of them if I was counting.
Current cost to enter is $15, but when you get to walk around the gardens as well, it is worth it.
Info gathered and e-mail sent
Thanks for the history lesson....and greetings from Australia.

Out doing some virtuals while heading home from Alabama. Went from one side of Nashville to the other picking some up. TFTV
Met up with GSCC and grabbing a few local caches. Answers on the way. TFTC
My wife, younger daughter and I took a few days off to visit Nashville. We have wanted to come here for years but there something always came up. This year we were able to get away after final exams were graded and the semester ended. We wanted to go to the Grand Old Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame, The Parthenon, The Hermitage, Cheekwood, Belle Meade and especially the Ryman Auditorium. We also wanted to run south to Lynchburg and Tullahoma to tour the distilleries there. We had a great time in the area, visited some relatives in Hendersonville, ate some great barbecue at Jacks and the Loveless Cafe and saw some interesting displays at the area's many attractions. We kept a blog of our trip at http://beckelhimerfamily.blogspot.com/. We loved Cheekwood and took tons of photos in the many gardens. The mansion was being redecorated so we were unable to see everything there but spending time outside was certainly pleasant on a pretty day.
Answers to the required questions have been email to the cache owner and confirmation has been received. A deer near ground zero jumped up as I approached. I don't know which of us was more startled! This is a great place to have a virtual cache where a physical cache would be impossible. I wish that groundspeak would reinstate virtual caches since we can find virtuals in places like this.
Thank you for keeping this virtual active since the number of grandfathered virtual caches is fewer all the time.

Out with the wife enjoying the tulips today along with a little walking and virtual hunting. Thanks for the fun.!
This was a fun cache. There was a light dusting ofd snow on the ground as I made the walk to the cache site. It took a n=minute to spot the Hawk. Thanks for the hide and the fun.
What a lovely area of the park! Papa Bear and I enjoyed seeing this! Thanks for the fun and the smiley today! Mia 87
I keep coming by Cheekwood again and again, and I am continually finding something new here! I wasn't sure where the trail and GPS were taking me, but we got there eventually. I liked seeing this piece of artwork, and I appreciate the adventures that I've been on here. Thanks!
I just had to make this one hard. All I'm saying is that it was a good thing the hawk wasn't a snake! Using the 50/50/90 rule (given two options, the one you take first is wrong 90% of the time), I headed along the path looking for the elusive hawk. About 600' out, I came back to the circle and went about 750' in the other direction. Finally, coming to the circle for the third time (the charm), I spotted the hawk. Being directionally challenged, I am sending you my best guess on this one. Thanks for another fun find!
This was the third of 3 virtual caches HaresEar and I found here today. I believe it was my personal favorite. Thanks for placing and maintaining these for us to find. e-mail has been sent.
I found this with ParrGolf. I always love to get the virtual caches when I am near. After finding the right path it didn't take long to reach our destination. Interesting figures. We saw at least 6 deer with antlers after leaving the site. Thanks for keeping this one going. Email sent.
Seeing as I'm here at Cheekwood every weekend (extended art project), it's about time I finally posted up. Thanks for keeping this one going!
It was a warm warm in the Nashville area today while we were walking around seeing the sites, and caching of course! Very nice treehouses here this year, the kids loved playing on them. TFTVC
Found on a very empty Sunday afternoon inside Cheekwood. This was our favorite of the day. TFTC!
[blue]I always target virtuals if theres any around where I'm at. Thanks for setting this one up and keeping it going!
[purple]Another treasure in the park today. The trails here are truly a treat and there are all kinds of statues hidden in the woods.
Thanks Joe! [purple]
