Mr7 and I took the long way round, via the wrong track, but he still declared this the best one hes ever found. Thanks for a beautiful walk and a fun hide. TFTC
Found it! Camra doesn't work but it was in rock hollow by orienteering aigh post
Log book and goodies returned today, and updated cache description to include more information on how to get there to make sure you don't encounter more difficult terrain. Please remember to sign the log book with your geocaching name. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. Happy caching!
Was in the area today so decided to check on this cache, glad I did as the contents were all over the ground and the cache open. I've taken all the goodies home to dry and clean and just left a temporary log book in the cache for now.
Quick find by Mr10. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent (signed TB on micros). Find # 2511
Easy find - just a few short steps up the orienteers elephant track. The rock has a control point for the orienteering circuit in Victoria Park. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2610)
Bit of bush wacking but got there in the end. How did you find the rock to start with ?
A bit of bush bashing, just to find we came in the hard way. Now, to take the easy way out. TFTC
Came by and gave the cache a good clean out today. Birds eggs are also not suitable for putting in caches! The egg had broken and you can imagine the mess. Please think carefully about what you leave in a cache. All good and ready to be found now, happy caching!
Thanks for hiding this cache angelic_kiwi I appreciate it. ??I introduced my Kea Scout Group to Geocaching today. Our group's den is near the sign of the Takahe so we based this week's session at Victoria Park. This was the first geocache that we found together.Unfortunately someone decided to leave a vap thing in the cache. One of the kids had swapped some stuff for it. Not knowing what it was. His Mum asked me and I told her. Sadly ?? the oil had got in the box and bag.Hopefully others will read this and see that it is inappropriate to put that kind of thing in a cache.I am sorry that a previous finder has done this to your cache.
Will come and clean up the cache in the next week or two, thanks for letting me know!
16:43FITW ObnoxiousSpaceCatVictoria Rocks. Plural You think you are going off the beaten path, but then suddenly meet an orienteering post at GZ.Easy find and good views from this position!Kia ora! Paldies! Thanks for the cache, angelic_kiwi!#10005
Found with ivss_xx. This is a cool little place I wouldve otherwise passed right by. Perfect spot for a cache. Well done.
A nice quick find. The shrubery has grown heaps since the last time we walked around here! Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I went for a wee walk aroound Victoria Park for some of the newer caches there. A nice walk on a sunny day, after a wee picnic.Occaisionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
After a picnic lunch, we headed here for an easy find. Then I hid it a bit better. Thanks angelic_kiwi
Bit of a cross-country ramble to get to this one, I didn't know the area so took the most direct route, which had a few obstacles in the way. Once at GZ, the hint made sense and the cache was quickly retrieved; TFTC
Nice easy find when approaching from the right direction. It hadn't been covered well. All in good condition. Thanks, angelic_kiwi.#9785
Noting that I had a number of Trad unfounds up in Victoria Park I decided it was time that I did something about them - like finding them. This was the first one on this morning's walk. Nice easy find. TFTC angelic_kiwi
Out after dinner for an explore. Only ended up looking for this one cache as I had forgot I meant to be in town for an event cache.
A nice afternoon for a walk in Victoria Park. Soon got to GZ and the cache was a quick find. TFTC.
A quick find in a lovely little hideaway with a few muggles passing by but I was out of sight. TFTH a favourite point from me.
An enjoyable walk on a cool sunny morning a bit slippery in the shaded spots. Sat and enjoyed the view while several muggles and their dogs went past. Managed to find and sign the log without any interruptions. TFTC
Took me ages to find the entrance to the track but once I did that it was an easy walk to 39. So glad near GZ for the elephant track. However I did find that, in general, the tracks etc at Victoria Park are quite poorly marked. Thank you AK loved the walk!!
A quick find whilst out exploring the area. Great hiding spot. A lovely day out today to enjoy the views. tftc angelic_kiwi. A fav point from me.

We spotted this when logging caches after a walk near Castle Hill yesterday. As it still was not logged at bedtime trifolia B decided to substitute the usual early morning jog with one along Latters Spur. A quick find. The reddish glow of the rising sun lighting clouds near a crescent moon made for a beautiful accompaniment to the dawn chorus of birdsong filling the valley below. Breath taking. TFTC!

I too spotted this one yesterday but by the time that i had spare time it was cold and dark and i couldnt motivate myself to go back out! A lovely morning for a walk though.....and a nice wee spot with some interesting views. I could see, at certain times of the year (rogaine or orienteering events), it could be possible to be muggled from all directions - and it would be quite funny...
Thanks for a lovely walk.
