This was the final Painted Lady of the day. The Cole House, built in 1887, is also on Holmes Avenue in Huntsville, Alabama. What is very interesting is that two adjacent houses look almost alike - Victorian Row Houses! TFTC.
This is one of the more popular homes in Kearney, Nebraska. It has been remodeled in the past ten years and is really looking good now. Don't know any more information on the home, but it is a beautiful dwelling.
This row of brightly-coloured Victorian terrace houses can be found on the very aptly named 'Victoria Road' in Exmouth, Southwest UK.

Found a 'slew' of victorian houses in Goshen New York, each one nicer than the last.
Found a whole slew of these ladies while caching about with Gof1 today. Don't worry, they are different as there were plenty to chose from!
This middle class home, built in 1901 is painted lavender with royal blue, purple and white trim. The owners have restored the interior with Bradbury & Bradbury handprinted Victorian wallpaper and done their best to preserve its historic character. Downtown San Jose, California, has many fine Victorian homes and businesses and an active preservation movement. It will never have the magnificence of the San Francisco Queen Anne stock, but it is a lovely area nonetheless.
Found this painted lady in Weldon, North Carolina. Lots of character went into this one!
A painted lady with lots of charm located in Weldon, North Carolina. ......an all decked out for the holidays.

This area of Toledo, Ohio is known as the Old West End. It has many neighborhoods full of old, large homes. Many are well preserved, some are unfortunately pretty shabby looking.
The Southernmost House in the United States, 1400 Duval St., Key West, FL.
The Southernmost House was built in 1896 for a cost of $250,000 (approximately $6 million today) by Judge J. Vining Harris, who married into the prominent Curry family. In 1939 the Ramos family purchased the property, which had been converted into a Cuban nightclub called Café Cayo Hueso (Bone Island Café), for $49,000. In 1954 it was converted back into a residence and remained so until 1996 when a $3 million restoration began to turn it into a 13-room hotel, with a museum on the first floor.
Today 43 U.S. presidential signatures are on display including William Henry Harrison's, which is a rare piece of historic memorabilia, as is President Johnson's original swearing-in statement.
The Ernest Hemingway room boasts a large collection of written memorabilia including letters to friends, relatives, and professional acquaintances.
Artifacts and treasure salvaged by Whitey Keevan from the shipwreck of a Spanish galleon are also on display and for sale.
Exterior paint colors are authentic, as are elegant crown moldings, ceiling medallions, ornamental woodwork and friezes, which were originally painted white, but have been redone in splashy shades reminiscent of its days as a Cuban nightclub.

This is the Guess-Ogle Home circa 1830 in downtown Cary, NC. I was lucky enough to see it decorated for Christmas.

Before my meeting I picked up a few caches. I had to pick up a painted lady in [red]San Francisco[/red], California. I have had this on my watch list for almost a year and figured I would make it my last virtual. With the hundreds of painted lady’s throughout [red]San Francisco[/red], it was only appropriate to get one here. These had a great view of the city. In addition, many movies have been shot nearby. Thanks for the fun cache. [green]Cheers[/green]

This painted lady is located on a busy street in Ocala, Fl. She now houses two businesses, a restaurant and a day spa.
This great old home is in Fair Oaks, not too far from where we live. What a beut! Thanks, Cache On!
This victorian home is found in Hyndman, PA. Unfortunately it has not been remodeled or kept to look of the period. I think this house would look fantastic if it were painted in some of the colors of the other houses shown.
All of Halifax is full of these painted ladies. Some retored, some renovated. Here are just two.
I don't know about the age of this house but it looks pretty Victorian to me. Located in Kirkwood MO.
Moritz Farmhouse, Kohlsville Wisconsin. The town of Wayne recently acquired its first Washington County Landmark with the designation going to the Otto and Anna Moritz farmhouse, 7671 Highway WW. The Washington County Landmarks Commission installed an historical plaque at the top of the driveway to the home. This Queen Anne-styled Victorian house was built in 1907 by Otto Moritz and Karl Sell, owners of the old Kohlsville sawmill. Great care was taken in the construction of this five-bedroom home and it is a fine example of the homes built in its era. It features tongue-and-groove oak wainscotting, oak china bugget, maple and oak inlaid flooring downstairs and basswood and maple flooring upstairs. Stained glass windows, original to the house, can be lit up at night.
This wonderful house is the home of the Arcade Historical Society and Museum located in Arcade, New York, USA.
The "Gibby" house as it is called, is open during the week for tours and Arcade's historical reference.

This painted lady is Miss Betty's Bed & Breakfast Inn located in Wilson, North Carolina. Although it is in an urban setting it has lots of country charm.
Just steps from the sea, this inn is one of the most famous blocks in Victorian Cape May. It's an artfully preserved and tastefully decorated woodworkers' masterpiece, with bright airy rooms, original artwork and wicker-filled porches. We came here for our 32 Wedding Anniversary. The house was built in 1869, This Gingerbread House is one of the original Stockton Row Cottages. This carpenter gothic style house was designed by the famous architect, Stephen Decatur Button. Originally, This Gingerbread House was a summer retreat for wealthy families who, together with their servants and nannies, would travel from Philadelphia and Virginia to summer in Cape May. Since 1979, The Gingerbread House has been among the finest bed and breakfast inns.
Special Features:
Full breakfast with homemade granola and coffeecakes, afternoon tea, a/c, private bath, guest fridge, bike storage, & an outdoor shower. This B&B is a half block to the beach, & 2 blocks to the Victorian Mall.

We have driven past a million beautiful, beautiful Victorian homes but never really got a chance to take any pictures. So today we were driving around, and we just happened to have the camera and the GPS... snapped this while the light was fading. I love the tower!
The Oller House (1892), Main Street in Waynesboro, PA is currently the home of the Waynesboro Historical Society.

Although not you're typical fancy Victorian home, this one was built during the era in Hamilton, Ontario.
This house was built in 1904 at the Drususallee in Neuss, Germany. The whole quarter was erected in the early 20th century and today one can find many individually coloured houses from this era. Only where they were destroyed in World War II there are some modern buildings between.

I have always liked this house. It is privately owned. It is close to downtown Iowa City, very close to sorority row, it is part of a very historic part of Iowa City. The area has alot of old well kept homes.

Found this Painted Lady on Kildare St. in Huntsville, Alabama. Some renovation work is currently being done on the house, and some scaffolding can be seen in one of the two shots. TFTC.
This "painted lady" is Sarnia, Ontario across the street from the Sarnia Library. About 10 years ago the house was given a facelift by a local oil company and was put into service as part of the Library. It is currently used for art education and for local artists to display their works.

This is the last one left in Presque Isle, once there were a number but fire did most of them in.
This grand old lady is just off Commercial Drive and Hasting St. in Vancouver, British Columbia. One hundred years ago, a trolley rode down the street beside this house and the red brick pavement can still be seen.
Found a Painted Lady in the historic district of Huntsville, Alabama. It is one of several such homes in the area and is the George Harris House - built about 1888. TFTC.
Found this one on some street on the outskirts of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

This Victorian home is located on Des Braves Avenue in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.
The National Battlefields Commission wanted Des Braves avenue to be the "most beautiful in Quebec City". The construction work began in 1912. Des Braves Avenue is a bridge filled with history and a special walk connecting two parks (Des Braves Park and Battlefields Park).

For some reason, we missed this log earlier. We saw this locationless on our list and were surprised as we thought we had logged it already. We're glad it's still available! This Victorian style home was found just west of Myrtle Beach, SC. Thanks for sharing!

This lady is located near Kerr Rd in Plum, PA. With the trees surrounding the home, it was difficult to get a good photo. It appears to be the original farm family home and is still being lived in, though the farm is not being worked. The post before this was my brother in LaPorte, IN. Cannot believe that we were both out today and both logged the same locationless cache! Keith and Susan
This Example of a Victorian Homeis found at 9 Maple Ave in Wheeling ,WV There are so many old Victorian Homes in Wheeling that is hard to choose one. This is a good example in excellent shape in a very good area.

Found this Painted Lady sample on the corner of Gold and 8th near downtown Albuquerque in the historic Country Club neighborhood.
This Queen Anne beauty is located in Florence, Alabama. We found it while doing a walking tour of the city's historic district. Here's what the walking tour told us about this house, located at 618 N. Wood Ave.: "With its square tower, "gingerbread" trim and shingled siding, the Reisman-Coffee-Looft House (c. 1890) is an almost-untouched example of the Queen Anne style which was so popular with people of wealth of the period."
Caching in the north Chicago area, I found this painted Lady. Looks beautiful in the sunshine. Near 137. Now there's a pet vet in it.
I was out in downtown Granbury today and captured one of the beautiful victorian homes. We have the most historic square in Texas and most the victorian homes are bed and breakfasts. They are also historic sites.
THis home is pink with purple and off white trim. On Tremont Ave in Massillon, Ohio. Located across the street from the local YMCA/YWCA. A private family owns it and still working on preserving it.
This house is in the Fort Sanders Historic Neighborhood in Knoxville, TN. The neighborhood has a storied past including a major Civil War battle (The siege of Fort Sanders).
This house was actually moved to its current location from across the street to make way for a parking lot. It was going to be torn down but the neighborhood association made the ownere move it instead. It was said that James Agee (author of Suttry and other novels) once lived here.
As with many of the houses in the Fort Sanders area, it now houses college students from the University Of Tennessee, which is only a block away.

For many years this has been one of my favourite Victorian homes in Cape Town, South Africa. It exudes a certain presence that few others have. It stands tall and overlooks two beautiful city parks. If memory serves it was painted a deep red some years ago. There are many of these grand ladies in Cape Town, but this one has always looked well maintained where others showed their true age. They sure don't make 'em like this anymore!
This victorian is currently under going restoration. It is located on Main Street in Tarboro, North Carolina.
This grand Victorian English country house was built in 1894 by Judge Spinks. Located in Vernon, B. C., Canada, this "Pink Lady" was home to Price Ellison, a successful pioneer rancher and member of the B.C. Legislature, holding several cabinet posts. I had the pleasure of touring this house about 20 years ago when it was on the market and almost bought it. It has a 2 storey high stain glass window that lights the grand staircase equipped with built-in lamps on the handrail posts. One of the many grand fireplaces was bought in Europe and brought overland in a covered wagon. The wallpaper was original then, and when I talked to the owner today, she said it still is the original wallpaper. (Note: owner is a little paranoid that this cache log will draw attention to her home and this would invade her privacy. I assured her that she won't get visitor looky-loos as a result of my photo.)
This painted lady is one of several in South Acton, MA and one of two on Central Street, close to the train station.
The Simon Gugenheim House has been moved from it's original location a few blocks away to Heritage Park in lovely downtown Corpus Christi, TX. Simon and Lila Belle were native Texans who built their home in 1900. It survived the devestating hurricane of 1919, and is the only victorian home from this period who's turret is still intact.
The Chapman House is truly a beautiful Painted Lady located in Red Lodge, MT. She is in a neighborhood with several of her sisters who also look very nice.
This house is located on Congress St. in Bradford, PA. It is currently owned by the Signor's, who as you can see, deocrate nicely for the holidays. If you ever get to this area, check out this street as there are several Painted Ladies lining this street.

This is one of many Painted ladies around Shreveport. This one is the sweetest of them in our opinion. It's now a lawyers office in the old part of town. TFTC

This beauty was built for the famous 'Unsinkable' Molly Brown in 1897, 15 years before her fateful voyage on the Titanic. When the house was built, it would have been way out in the country, maybe 6 miles southwest of her regular home in downtown Denver. Now it is in the middle of the suburbs, with a very busy major street not 20 feet from it's front door.
This great house is just off of Retta Esplanade in Punta Gorda, FL. It survived last year's Hurricane Charley but needed a new paint job, roof repair and trim. As you can see. she’s as good as new!!

We have many Victorian homes in Liberty in the vicinity of the downtown square near the county courthouse. This house was located on Water St. It was well maintained and decorated for fall.

This is one of many painted ladies in Huntington, Indiana. This particular house is located in the 1000 block of North Jefferson Street. Note the brick paved street.
Once a home, now a business. This 'painted lady' sports quite a roof line. Found this one on Wilson Street in Wilson, North Carolina.
Fredericton's downtown area is full of beautiful old victorian homes. This one is located on Church Street not far from the Christ Church Cathedral and the Saint John river. There are many more nearby.
This former residence is now a Salon & Day Spa on East College Street in historic downtown Grapevine, Texas, USA.
This is a gorgeous home in the Germantown town section of north Nashville, TN. It was bought several years ago by 2 guys from New York and made into a very nice restaurant. They serve a "killer" country breakfast on Saturday mornings that a person can really hurt themselves at and I have to admit I have done it several times in the past. The restaurant is Monell's and is a MUST if you come to our town.

Found this embellished victorian house in the tiny town of Tarboro, North Carolina that is big on victorian style.
When I was a kid this house was trimmed in pink! the new owners obviously did not like pink. The House is at Frankford ave and Knights rd in Philadelphia Pa.
