Logs
I'd already worked out GZ on an earlier visit but the cache was missing at the time. Today we were walking past and I made a quick find this time. TFTC and thanks for replacing.
After a breakfast event nearby I spotted another JDScout multi. How could I resist?A nice shiny new teeny tiny container and log. Sweet.TFTC
Out with GeoHubby (Slotheryn) and Miss 11 (UnicornLex) today picking up a few multis. Thanks for another smiley.
On an afternoon impromptu multi-cache hunting mission with ThatDarnBear and UnicornLex TFTC
Found by Talla64 while on a few days stopover in Christchurch. We soon had the co-ords sorted, but there were so many hiding places on a certain object I thought we'd never find it, so I was delighted when Talla uttered those welcome words, "here it is." Thanks for the multi JDScout. Nice hide.
Flowerydaze and I are on our way to Dunedin but are spending a few days in Christchurch before attending the mega and picking up caches as we go. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the multi JDScout.
I sussed this one out when up in Chch last month but I had already found a multi earlier in the day. Up in Chch again to support our daughter who has a trail running race. A quick pre breakfast find on a multi dot day. Leaves are emerging at GZ. Thanks.
Thank you for this cache, JDScout. Out for an amble with a muggle friend - such a nice, peaceful spot to explore. Quick find and a Multi dot day filled.
After two DNFs for mysteries today, I was glad we could find this one, Mr10 noticed we already found a geocache in that area in the past. Quick check of numbers at GZ, he made the find and let me extract the log. Both container and logbook were in good condition, thanks for the hide!
No problem with numbers at WP1 but my GPS just wouldn't settle at GZ. I had a good search around 4 potential sites but I just couldn't lay my hands on the cache unfortunately. I often walk through this lovely cemetery so will keep trying on future visits.
Straightforward multi without having to wander round a graveyard looking for many graves to get the numbers. This was even pleasant to do in the rain with one well instructed grave to be found. Data collected, co ords worked out and nice for CO to add checksum for confidence we set off to GZ for a QEF. In view of the location it was a relief to read the cache was above Gl LOL. TFTC and greetings from the UK
We were happy to visit this cemetery we have explored on previous caching expeditions and other history explorations. A quick solve and find. TFTC JDScout!
I came around here after the leap day event with snugpup, LittleTan and Maus1, finding a few different cache types on leap day. I had already solved this one so went straight to the location, and Maus1 had already found it if we needed any help. I found it quickly and Maus1 took the others to collect the information so they could solve it themselves. Signed with our initals. Thanks so much for the hide, this is my last multi dot day for February, so now I have completed the monthly multi challenge, yippee!
A nice easy solve, saved especially for Leap Day as I aimed for at least one trad, one multi and a mystery. I also ended up with an event and a virtual today as well. This was my multi cache for Feb 29th. Thanks for placing this cache- found with Snugpup and Angelic_kiwi after a nearby event.
I'm in Christchurch for a few days for work so of course I have to get some geocaching in. I came down a day early so I could get a rental car for the day to target some specific caches in the surrounding area.Today happens to be one of my (many) multi dot days so I was glad to find this in short order. Now to loop back to get an ad lab.All good here and TFTC.Find #6445 at 26 February 2024 7:04 pm
A nice shady spot to stop on a bike ride about town with mum today. No kowhais in sight, but the yew was easy to spot, and the absence of field math was appreciated. Cache quickly in hand, and off to get ice creams we went.
Been a few years since our last wander after dark through this cemetary. Quick solve at home after grabbing info on a quick trip through a couple days ago and a quick find tonight after work. TFTC.
We need a multi today so decided on a wee () detour on way to friends. Nice walk here in shade of trees today. Another new spot never been to. Found required info and got checksums correct. Went to cache which Mr C spotted. Log signed, all good. Thanks for this multi JDScout.
Unlike LW, I did manage to work this one out at home! The cache was a quick find in a deserted spot. TFTC.
I diverted slightly on the way to my sons house to quickly find this cache. You will be pleased to know that I couldnt work this one out at home
Quick multi. Got the information and checked a couple of likely spots while walking to GZ. Should not have bothered looking until arriving at GZ as the coordinates were spot on for me at a less likely spot; TFTC
After the terrible weather yesterday we were pleased to see a little sun today.Day six of my trip away in Christchurch with tmann421 hunting caches.Signed all logs tm/ww NZThank you for the placement and the time spent making the caches ready for us to find.
Down in the Christchurch area with woolwood9. Day 6 - A bit of threatening cloud and spits of rain but didn't effect us overly much today.SL *tm/ww NZ*Thank you for the reason to visit this cache and location Fun multi-cache, we were slow to find this one - I was convinced it would not be where it was!*Good find and hide.*
Quickly found the headstone and quickly found the cache. It took longer to identify the species of where it was, but I got there. I don't think I'm giving too much away if I say it's in the pohutukawa family but native to S America. Please delete this if it's too much of a hint. I have yet to work out how the Shand on the headstone fits into my family tree. Thank you JDScout
A nice quick find in a quiet resting place. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I Around and about Christchurch, collecting caches as we need.Occaisionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
One of the first I found this morning. Took me a moment to find the right gravestone - maybe I should actually read the description properly next time! All good here. TFTC.
Dropped parents off to the airport at stupid o'clock for their flight to Melbourne. So I was free at 5am, there's a Red wind warning... might as well get todays multi dot day out of the way and then go home for a nap. No dramas working out coords, nor finding the cache! Thanks for the placement.TFTC JDScout, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 1 today, making this find #4412
#23093. Needed a cache find today, and thought I'd find this one sooner rather than later (before I had a chance to forget where it was). After yesterday's wild weather things had settled down a lot by lunch time (though there was still a cold southerly to contend with on the bike). A quick find, then back off to work. TFTC.
Another multi do today and another multi cache found. I recall doing an early mystery here that involved reaching a house with some pretty interesting intriguing history. https://coord.info/GC6662
A rather chilly wind was blowing, but at least the rain and hail from earlier in the day seems to have cleared. Been a while since I have been here, but I do like the old cemeteries and I'm always happy to revisit. Had to skirt some mini ponds as we walked towards GZ. We were already in possession of the final co-ords as I was able to work it out from home, using guesswork, and maths. StreetWalkerNZ made the find, while I was looking in the wrong spot, but he will leave the paperwork for another day. TFTC.
17:22 Took me a bit of wandering around to find the correct gravestone but that was because I didn't pay enough attention to the description. Rookie move. Once at the right one, all the numbers aligned well and soon I had the joy of unrolling to the 12th spot in the logbook Managed to get in here before the rain picked back up. Don't think I had been to this cemetery before, so thanks for taking me here!Kia ora! Paldies! Thanks for the cache, JDScout!#9910
Snuck out between showers. Had the whole place to myself;--as it were!! Quickly spotted the correct possie and with the help of the Checksum had the correct co-ords. Didn't need any extra gear, there was the cache precariously perched and all OK. Thank you JD.
Chose a windy day to go for this one. Correct headstone found and numbers sorted. Luckily reading previous logs I knew what and where to look sort of. Quickly found. All safe and snuggled. TFTC
Came out in the rather hot sunny and blustery mid morning to find a cache or two. Quite a few whitebaters out and about in the nearby river....but the cemetery was rather quiet. Quickly sourced the numbers and calculated the final. Still quiet so easy enough to perform a methodical search and make the find and sigb. Thanks.
Very quiet little cemetery took us longer to work out our two trees than the rest of it combined.
It lways baffles me how some plots look brand new after a hundred years and some you can't even make out the inscription

A quick find after work today in a deserted area. Thanks for the cache

After tea and no multi found. Closest to home so a quick drive while Mossy was in the bath. No problem finding the stone in question and finding the info needed. Cunning little hide. Many thanks, JDScout. #9759
An early off from work today so I grabbed a few caches on the way home. This was number two of four.
I got to the seat mentioned and started looking for a Kowhai next to a Yew. No joy there but I *did* see a Yew next to a Cabbage Tree. Happily the headstone I needed was right there.
I soon had all the numbers I needed (although Sep Hth CBBH should be Sep Hth C*DD*H). A short walk later I spotted something out of place (I was about to walk past but it was about eye height for me). Log signed and I was off to find number three.
TFTC JDScout
Find number 5120
(Logs signed Rincewind3 or R3 if saving space. Occasionally signed BRN if caching as a team with *B*o&bronnie, *R*incewind3 and *N*otManlyJack)

Having run out of local multis to find last month I had to give up on my quest to complete 365 days of multi finds, as the travel requirements would be excessive and costly.
It was nice to see this and one other multi published yesterday. With today being one of the 42 dot days left to be filled I quickly decided to go sign it off. Thanks for the placement JD.

A central city cache unfound for 2 hours?! That’s a rare treat. I got out and made the short walk. Quick solve, reasonably quick find. I thought for sure I’d be in a race with the usual suspects but I had the place all to myself. Thanks for the multi. Filled a square for me today.

I?? love finding geocaches while on the E bike ???? with JDScout. The roads were pretty quiet. We set off after the drizzle stopped. (So we thought ??). Luckily when the drizzle reappeared it didn't last long and it wasn't that cold. Thanks for placing another multi JDScout ??
