Revisited 2 November 2024 @12:23pmWhen catnap777 and I first visited this lookout together, we were just dating. Now, with a newish Earth Cache to pick up as well, we returned here as husband and wife. [:X][:X]I still use the picture I took of cat' on our first visit as a profile pic. We re-enacted it on this visit and we are happy to share them here. And now, with a green light from the CO for our "Purrfect" answers, we get to post the selfies and say....TFTEarthCache Team737. [^]
Site visited with dalerious and answers sent off to CO, with a super fast response back giving us the all clear to log.dalerious and I never tire of coming to this place. We have been here many times before over the years, and still find the area fascinating. I have wondered before why no one has ever placed an Earthcache here. Well, we do not have to wonder anymore. Thank you Samuel737 for bringing us here to enjoy the area again.
Wow.. what a great lookout.. and not a bad place to have lunch either. We explored both the lookout options and collected the required information. Thanks for bringing us off the main road.
It was a while ago that I ventured down this way and explored the area. I have been saving logging this earthcache until international earthcache day.. I learned alot about the geology of the area. Thankyou for placing the earth cache.
We were lucky today as the sun was out. I have been coming here for years before caching but it was usually to visit friends during the snow season. Today was a beautiful, rather warm sunny day. When we arrived there were a couple of muggles but they didn't hang around much longer. We took the walk out to the lookout but spent quite a bit of time exploring along the way.Great location. Thanks for bringing us back with this cache.
Geoturtle37 and I were heading away and decided to call in and finally complete this cache. We have been here so often and never once thought to check for caches. It is a lovely area so we are more than happy to re-visit. There were only two muggles when we arrived and they were just leaving so we had the place to ourselves. Thanks for bringing us here with this cache.
The Adelaide Leap Day Mega and Canberra Geobash gave us a great excuse for a road trip. This trip has shown us so many new and interesting places as weve chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites.Meeting up with friends old and new along the way, we sometimes cached together and sometimes alone but always had a great time. Today we took a day trip from Wangaratta to Mount Buller, stopping at anything that caught our eye along the way. This was a wonderful place to visit. We enjoyed the walk out to the lookout, the expansive views, the interesting geology and the bushranger link. Thanks to the CO for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment.
Found on 23/12/2023; find number 1651.Visited today on a tour of the district.Ive been here a few times, but always enjoy the drive and the views.Lack of service meant we missed the new ones closer to the road, but gathered the clues and enjoyed the view here.Answers have been sent. Thanks for the hunt and the cache Samuel737.
The Mansfield to Whitfield road is a favourite for many motorcyclists ,and I have ridden it many times. I have visited the lookout quite a few times over the years, but have never taken an interest in the geology on previous visits. After paddling our kayaks on Lake William Hovell, a few of us came up to enjoy the views, and log this cache. Thanks for introducing, and educating, me about the rock formations, Samuel737
Permission to log received from the CO. After a fun day tackling the Fish series on Lake William Hovell yesterday, today was about waterfalls and stunning views. This being our first visit to the area, we were very impressed. We passed quite a few people on our way to the second viewing area, where the views were just as spectacular. Harry certainly picked a great area for a hideout, even though he was eventually apprehended.Thank you Samuel737 for bringing us to this beautiful location.
Thanks Samuel737for luring us here to see this spectacular place. Ronice88, weirdobiker, Crustyvsrmint and I headed here after kayaking on LWH. lovely to see this stunning area from another perspective as well as learn about the history of the area as well. Regardskbucky
Out for a drive in the wonderful King Valley with beavar on this Earthcache Day. Its been a while since we did the climb to this Lookout, but the perfect day to take in the views. We learnt heaps about conglomerates and sent our answers via beavar. Permission to log granted quickly. Thanks for giving us an excuse to visit this pretty area not far from our homes in Wangaratta Team737 #10,374 - now its back home in time for afternoon tea!
Harrowang (answers sent for them as well) and team beaver, here on a fabulous sunny day. Thanks fir bringing us up here. 2TF as well at 14:35pm.
Ftf on the way to my mums and saw this new cache. Well what was I to do. Take a detour to powers lookout in the sun and get some answers. Thanks for a fun and educational earth cache. I loved learning about the high and low energy environments.
