#4,066: Restful Smiley!Ha! I came out today for a nice ride, and as I've been past here (and stopped to rest!) many times, I was going to place a cache here. But, to my happy surprise, this one is already here! Not too windy today, and not too many folks out and about. All in good shape!!SL/TFTC!!
Windy cold and grey but nice seat to sit on and look south .. even had a bottle opener on the back of the seat for when I come back another day what a great idea TFTC
#23203. A good day for a walk on a track we hadn't visited in a while. After an initial steep climb, it was good to get to a flatter section of the track. Quick find of the nicely hidden cache. TFTC.
A perfect morning for a wee uphill walk - no wind and cloudy, so nice mild weather. It's been a while since I had walked this track and I had forgotten how steep the initial section is! Plenty of stops to admire the view as I puffed and huffed my way.StreetWalkerNZ had already found the cache by the time I hove into view. Now for the easy bit, downhill. Lots of people out and about, walking or on the MTB track. By the time we returned to the car, there wee heaps of cars parked on the access road. Thanks for the exercise and TFTC.
Lovely walk up here, great views on a nice day. I noted the tool on the seat lol! TFTC!!
It has been a while since I have wandered up this way.A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache. Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
I hadn't intended walking up here today, but when I parked up at Halswell Quarry I noticed that this cache wasn't that far away and the extra exercise wouldn't hurt.It wasn't long before I arrived at GZ. What a lovely spot to rest for a while and enjoy the view. TFTC.
Found with twin grandies - such a great walk up here one of our favorites- TFTC
Sooo busy--bikes , walkers and runners. But a great stroll and glad of the seat at the end. A long time since I've been back up here. Thank you P.
Loved the bottle opener attached! Wonder what the story is behind the man. Would have had a rest to write my log but it was a bit breezy for someone without a jersey! Tjanks for the hide, busy paws.#9989
I decided to do a cyclocache ride out to Halswell Quarry to seek and sign off a few caches that have lately popped up there. This was one of those recent placements. It had been a while since I last rode the MTB tracks adjacent to Kennedys Bush Track so I relished the opportunity to ride them again. The cattle in the paddock are so used to MTBikers riding past them that they never even raised their heads from feeding as I rode past just 1-2m away on the uphill track (called The Low Road). The cache was soon signed and then it was time to ride the downhill track back down to the tarseal of Kennedys Bush Road. TFTC BP.
Sent P to find it. M got as far as the stile and stopped for a rest, gave up and went back to the car. A splendid view on a fine still day. TFTC
Found with ObnoxiousSpaceCat and ivss_xx, quick find and beautiful view. TFTC!
Just a short today. For the three preceding days my step counter hovered just below to just above 30000 a day.
18:05 FITW ObnoxiousSpaceCat, Gummi_Venus**Oh hi Mark!**Nice views from here! Turns out I'd never been to this track. Left the other cache 1km up the path for another time to come back. And turns out we are in Siberia!?Kia ora! Paldies! Thanks for the cache, busy paws!#9941
Found with ivss_xx and Gummi_Venus. Thanks for the DT combination! Helps to color in a grid square for me.
Cache was a quick find on a windy day. I also had to walk past evil creatures and yes I do need to try and get over my fear of them
A lovely but windy walk to the one this afternoon. Plenty of cattle and sheep watching me but muggle free find. Great views although a bit hazy today. TFTH
A busy day, saw the new one mid-arvo unlogged so decided to pop out. Boys football now over for the year but this used to be part of a monday early evening walk whilst mr13 was down at hallswell domain at football practice....(park down at main quarry entrance street side, then walk through and up then around this knob, then back down again)....
Parked up the top and started walking up, part way up bumped into C3 coming down...stopped for a chinwag then onwards to a quick find and sign. Thanks.
