Logs
Looks like another unable to retrieve without destruction. I was tempted until reading the previous log.Cheers Cympull.
Called here today, as previous loggers have stated, the cache is in bad condition and is inaccessible. I was able to remove the bolt using a suitable tool and a bit of force, but anything inside that may have been attached to is has become detached and is stuck in there. If I tried to hammer it out it would probably destroy the cache. It has obviously been that way for quite some time - some maintenance is highly overdue!
Pretty sure this one is either gone or it's wedged in (took a photo if CO wants to see it).
As previous cacher found. Cache seems to be jammed in and could not be retrieved. Will watch this one for possible future return.
Believe I found this but container jammed into position.maybe next time down in this part of the woods.
**19,735**A super quick find here, using our van as cover from the few muggles still in the area. TFTC
After a squiz at the beach and testing it out to drive on tomorrow we turned back and found this cache on the way out. It took longer to put the log away than to find it! Luckily no traffic was around and we didnt hold anyone up. TFTC
A very early start to the day to find the Adventure Lab in the dark, but my phone did not play ball. Solved and found the multi, now some new traditional caches. Thanks watcache for the cache.
Thanks so much Mr & Mrs watcache for holding fun-filled camping events and setting cool caches for all of us Hopefully I can make it next year! TNLNSL TFTC
Found with woolwood9, just noticed I hadn't logged the find.We were held up and missed out on the CITO which we both were looking forward to. Arrived as the last people were leaving.Easy find here. SL *tm/ww NZ* Thanks watcache for the events and new caches, I am still struggling with health issues or we would have stayed for the weekend.
After the CITO event, it was a perfect day to go and find the new caches put out specially for the occasion by the CO. Found with Talla64 and Mr-Mcgoo. Thanks for all the new caches watcache, very much appreciated. All good here.
After attending the CITO event teamed up with Flowerydaze and Mr McGoo to find the hidden caches and the completed puzzles on what turned out to be a lovely sunny Sunday. All good here and TFTC watcache.
After a long day of caching 4 of quickly went to grab the three new caches before the third event. after a quick search we had the cache in hand tftc watcacheWhile Staying out in Waitawere for the to attend 4 events for Watcache we decide we should get a few caches. So The Seaganoid and I started the morning of the 4/11 bright and early at 5 30. In order to get all the caches on our list before the event we figured this would be an acceptable time to start. So the day began with a walk out into the North forest. Once we finished in the south forest we headed to the local 4 q=square for a coffee break and then got ready to start the second event of the weekend. After the event Eatherlord Clan, Capers, The Seaganoid and I got talking and we all wanted various caches in the Waitawere south forest. After a long walk we eventually got all the caches in the forest and down the beach and returned to the hall. After attending the third event 12 of us decided to get the Adlab. After getting 3 stages we headed back to the hall to get some much needed rest. After Some rest and finding a few more caches the following day and the fourth and final event and 3 days of caching I had Finished by walking 52 kms. Thanks to everyone involved this weekend.
Found as part of watcache's weekend of festivities at Waitarere Beach.After this morning's event, Infoferret, the Seaganoid, Stardust718, fuzzball56, and I crammed into my car to retrieve the three new caches that had just been published.An easy find and sign. Thanks for the joint {FtF}
#14,260. Joint {FTF} and first day find. Walk and grab on Waitarere Beach Road in Waitarere Beach. Fortunately, the GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.After signing the cache, geodatum arrived. After all the signing was completed, we replaced the cache where found.*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*
Day 2 of the Waitarere events and the fun that comes with it. Joint [FTF] with others from the event. TFTC
Joint {FTF} log. Found at 2:02 PM, 2 minutes after publication, on 4 November 2023 with TwigNZ and YetiNZ. After a fun morning walking around the park, driving to a couple of waypoints and eating an ice cream, we were chatting away with others when we received an email about this cache and did we move!!!I am using this cache for the Fast to Find module of the [GC30AD8](http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC30AD8) DGSC Challenge (West Coast).Kia ora rawa atu for the cache watcache.
FTF with fellow caches staying nearby for the weekend. Thanks for the new cache to find this weekend. We were on the way to the beach anyway.
After the two new FTFs, JLOO and I carried on to find the other new caches released today. We tried quite a few different places before stumbling on this.[FTF] allowed by the CO as weve been at this weekends events. Thanks watcache for another cache this weekend! I really appreciate the effort youve gone to!
We headed down to Waiterere this morning to the Seas the Day event. It was quite a rainy journey down but things gradually improved after we reached the event and a beautiful day ensued. At lunch we saw this cache published and headed to it before setting off back home. Huhugrub had just completed the find when I got there and kindly held the fiddly little log for me while I signed. He then had the joy of re-rolling it! It's a clever little hide but we weren't sure if it was on the correct side of the host or not. We returned it to where it was found as per geocaching etiquette. Thanks for the joint {FTF} and TFTC watcache
Out on the bikes with rattll this afternoon, as part of the Waitarere Weekend. A quick find here, joint [FTF]. All good, tftc!
Another joint (FTF) as part of the excellent Waitarere geocache weekend arranged by the CO. All go from the domain when the email was received.
Joint {FTF} on the way back to the Domain. Got it straight away in spite of the 'red herring'. TFTC
MrMcGoo and I had spent a long day exploring the Northern Forest when new caches were released as part of the event we are attending this weekend. We just didn't have the energy to prioritise the new caches that day, however this one was planned for while we wait for our F&C. Except we missed the chippe by a mere 3 minutes - it took to long and to much talking to get out of the camp ground and past the Scout hall - both surrounded by cachers! As we contemplated how to get dinner as everywhere else was closed we came over here to visit this cheeky little number. TFTC watcache. A joint [FTF] thank you.
Nice easy find here, picked the wrong side initially. It's been a few years since I've had a multi-day, event-centred Geo-experience - the Wellington MEGA would have been it, so a long time between drinks (as if). The last few iterations locally haven't fitted in with our family plans so have been shelved but mrs c's trip North this week is timely and enables me to head to Waitarere Beach for watcache's Geo-Jamboree (after all, it was centred on the Scout Hall!) A fun weekend of events, nearby unfound caches, and a trickled release of new ones too, acquaintances renewed and established and some (mostly) good weather. Much kudos to the CO,and his family, for their efforts over this last wee while, recognizing that this doesn't happen without dedication and preparation. After 3 days of caching, around 35 kms walked and 30-something finds I left around midday after some {FTF} chasing, and then got my last D/T combo for a third trip around the grid, with Etherlord and Ethermiss for company.Awesome weekend, thanks to all involved.
Day two of the geocaching weekend, and with the mornings event done and dusted, matagouri and I decided to dust the bikes off and head into the North forest, picking up any caches we could find. After finishing the targeted caches in the forest, we eventually regained phone connection and discovered some newly published caches near by, so continued on to grab those as well. This one was quickly dealt with. Now back to camp for a well earned feed and rest. Thanks for setting it up and for the joint (FTF) for event attendees.
Joint {FTF} at 14.02So here we are at the 3rd of these Watcache Weekends. I've been able to attend both the previous iterations so had a rough idea of how this day might play out but of course you can never take anything for granted with this CO lol!Having finished the main event for this morning, myself and a few others were kicking back by the Scout Hall when we were suddenly alerted to this new publication. In spite of being advised earlier that all of today's caches would be a joint FTF, which was a nice touch to last year where they weren't in spite of some people still claiming them as such regardless, the old habits die hard and it was literally only seconds before Yeti, and I were heading towards his car. We were soon joined by NZ_B and dashing off to GZ.I was able to make an immediate find here, only 2 minutes after publication lol! We celebrated by heading to the nearby cafe to grab some lunch, and to ponder how many more might get released this afternoon Thanks you for this cache, and for the whole weekend
Had a few minutes while waiting to collect pizza for dinner so came out with Infoferret to hunt down this one. Nice easy find. Many thanks for the {FTF}.Back at the 4-Square, pizzas still not ready!
(# 8441) Got this with Itchyfeet2020 when we went for a walk to get some dinner. Eateries here close pretty early so missed out on the food but didn't miss out on the cache. Can claim a joint {FTF} as it is part of the weekends events. Thanks watcache for bringing me here.
