Thank you turnercaitlin for hiding and maintaining this cache. Found on 14 September 2024 at 9:23AM. Thanks for the cache

Sunday morning walk brought this desert dwellers to this bit of Bush. Lived near here for 20 years but never walked through here before. Bit of scrambling and the GPS seemed to shift probable to the trees. Found it in good time. TFTC.

Tasmania Trip Day 12. This is my final day on the Tasmanian island. I have two counties left to do and went to visit the two old caches in the Launceston region before making my indirect way to Devonport. The short walks went smoothly and I found enough caches to finish my target of all the counties in Mainland Tasmania. Once I reached Devonport I took a chance to have something to eat and have a rest before lining up to get ion the boat. Not quite as well done here, but we made it. The crossing starts in the rock and roll, unlike the other way. I made it over without any upsetting issues and will head back to Canberra tomorrow.Having found the primary target, I spread out to find a few caches in the area. The parks and greenways around here seem a great way to get around. Thanks for the cache turnercaitlin46113.3 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & May 2017 Stones of Legend Amethyst A#361**Albida**

Scratched around here for so long that Mr Beetle finally came to lend a hand. As often happens I then found it just as he arrived. Definitely overthought this one instead of looking in the obvious place. Seems GZ is a popular place to throw your dog poo bags!! I really don't see the point of picking it up if you're just going to throw it away later? But thanks for the cache turnercaitlin.

SS Rat was in town for a few days and we caught up this afternoon for some pre dinner caching around Launceston. This was a pretty easy stroll and grab, the weather was threatening but not actively raining so easy enough to ignore. TFTC

TFTC. This one took me a good 5mins to pin down but got it eventually. I was thrown off a bit by a previous log as I found it to be about 5m from the post coordinates.

On a late afternoon Caching walk from nearby Sandhill, this one was in my planned path so once at GZ i realized just how shy Reece really is as it took me near on 5 minutes to locate his / her bashfulness. He / She was eventually found and the log was signed at 17:37 on Tuesday 19 December 2023.Now onto my next one, 'peace' out PS: Thanks for the maintenance with a new container... much easier extraction this time WinkTFTC turnercaitlin Smile

Replaced with larger container so log is easier

We returned to look for this cache today and found it after a short search. The idea of the hide is good but the shape of the container is totally inappropriate. The log had unfurled against the inside of the container and it could not be extracted because of the tapered neck of the container. The only way to get the log out was to reroll the log inside the container to make it smaller than the neck and try to remove it with a pair of long nosed tweezers. However we had no success in rerolling the log and the soft paper quickly began to tear. We could only get the log out in small pieces which destroyed the log. We provided a small strip of strong paper which came up above the neck of the container making the log easy to extract but there is only room for another 4 signatures. The concept of the hide is good but the container needs to be replaced with some urgency by something that has parallel sides and not a tapered neck. Thanks turnercaitlin for a good attempt but urgent maintenance is required.

Found with my geomum sqwash....my first F2F, and I found it not mum Smile

F2F at 1003 this morning. Wasn't hopeful on this one but my 5 year old found it right on GZ pretty much. Joys of being close to the ground.
ToTT is needed for extraction of log. This took us longer than finding the cache.

Despite searching for about 30 minutes, the cache was not located. We identified GZ and widened our search out to 10m but did not have any luck. We will be back sometime. Thanks anyway turnercaitlin.
